1สาส์นที่เปิดเผยมา คำของพระยาห์เวห์ต่อต้านแผ่นดินฮัดราค และจะตกอยู่เหนือดามัสกัส เพราะสายตาของมนุษย์ และของทุกเผ่าในอิสราเอลมุ่งไปที่พระยาห์เวห์
1The burden of the word of the LORD. In the land of Hadrach, and in Damascus shall be His resting-place; for the LORD'S is the eye of man and all the tribes of Israel.
2ทั้งฮามัทที่มีเขตแดนติดกันด้วย รวมถึงไทระและไซดอน เพราะเมืองเหล่านี้ฉลาดมาก
2And Hamath also shall border thereon; Tyre and Zidon, for she is very wise.
3ไทระสร้างป้อมปราการให้ตนเอง กองเงินไว้มากดั่งฝุ่นดิน และทองคำบริสุทธิ์มากดั่งโคลนตามถนน
3And Tyre did build herself a stronghold, and heaped up silver as the dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets.
4แต่พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจะยึดสิ่งที่เธอครอบครอง พระองค์จะทำลายอำนาจของเธอในทะเล และไฟจะเผาผลาญเธอ
4Behold, the Lord will impoverish her, and He will smite her power into the sea; and she shall be devoured with fire.
5อัชเคโลนจะเห็นแล้วหวาดกลัว กาซาก็จะบิดตัวด้วยความเจ็บปวด เอโครนก็เช่นกัน เพราะความหวังของเธอจะพังทลาย กษัตริย์จะสูญสิ้นไปจากกาซา และอัชเคโลนจะไม่มีผู้อาศัย
5Ashkelon shall see it, and fear, Gaza also, and shall be sore pained, and Ekron, for her expectation shall be ashamed; and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.
6คนต่างถิ่นจะอาศัยอยู่ในอัชโดด เราจะกำจัดความหยิ่งของชาวฟีลิสเตีย
6And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.
7เราจะเอาเลือดออกจากปากของเขา และเอาสิ่งน่ารังเกียจออกจากซอกฟันของเขา เขาจะเป็นผู้ที่เหลืออยู่สำหรับพระเจ้าของพวกเราด้วย จะเป็นเหมือนหัวหน้าในยูดาห์ และเอโครนจะเป็นเหมือนชาวเยบุส
7And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his detestable things from between his teeth, and he also shall be a remnant for our God; and he shall be as a chief in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite.
8เราจะตั้งค่ายรอบวิหารของเราเพื่อสู้กับกองทัพ ไม่ให้ใครผ่านไปหรือกลับมา จะไม่มีผู้กดขี่ผ่านเข้ามาในหมู่พวกเขาอีก เพราะบัดนี้เราเห็นด้วยตาของเราแล้ว
8And I will encamp about My house against the army, that none pass through or return; and no oppressor shall pass through them any more; for now have I seen with Mine eyes.
9จงยินดีอย่างยิ่ง ธิดาศิโยน! จงโห่ร้อง ธิดาเยรูซาเล็ม! กษัตริย์ของเธอกำลังมาหาเธอ! พระองค์ชอบธรรมและมีความรอด ถ่อมตน ขี่ลามา ขี่ลูกลา ลูกอ่อนของลา
9Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion, shout, O daughter of Jerusalem; behold, thy king cometh unto thee, he is triumphant, and victorious, lowly, and riding upon an ass, even upon a colt the foal of an ass.
10เราจะกำจัดรถศึกจากเอฟราอิม และม้าจากเยรูซาเล็ม ธนูรบจะถูกกำจัด พระองค์จะประกาศสันติภาพแก่ชนชาติต่าง ๆ อำนาจปกครองของพระองค์จะแผ่จากทะเลถึงทะเล จากแม่น้ำไปจนสุดปลายโลก
10And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off, and he shall speak peace unto the nations; and his dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.
11ส่วนเธอก็เช่นกัน เพราะเลือดแห่งพันธสัญญาของเธอ เราได้ปล่อยเชลยของเธอให้เป็นอิสระจากบ่อที่ไม่มีน้ำ
11As for thee also, because of the blood of thy covenant I send forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.
12จงกลับมาที่ป้อมปราการ เชลยผู้มีความหวัง! วันนี้เราประกาศว่า เราจะคืนให้พวกคุณเป็นสองเท่า
12Return to the stronghold, ye prisoners of hope; even to-day do I declare that I will render double unto thee.
13เพราะเราโก่งยูดาห์เป็นธนูของเรา และใส่เอฟราอิมไว้บนธนู ศิโยน เราจะปลุกลูกชายของเธอขึ้น ต่อสู้กับลูกชายของเธอ กรีซ และจะทำให้เธอเป็นเหมือนดาบของนักรบผู้กล้า
13For I bend Judah for Me, I fill the bow with Ephraim; and I will stir up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Javan, and will make thee as the sword of a mighty man.
14พระยาห์เวห์จะปรากฏเหนือพวกเขา ลูกธนูของพระองค์จะวาบดั่งฟ้าแลบ พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระยาห์เวห์จะเป่าแตร และจะออกไปกับพายุหมุนจากแดนใต้
14And the LORD shall be seen over them, and His arrow shall go forth as the lightning; and the Lord GOD will blow the horn, and will go with whirlwinds of the south.
15พระยาห์เวห์จอมทัพจะปกป้องพวกเขา พวกเขาจะทำลายและเอาชนะด้วยก้อนหินจากสายเหวี่ยง จะดื่มและร้องก้องเหมือนดื่มเหล้าองุ่น จะเต็มเปี่ยมเหมือนชาม เหมือนมุมแท่นบูชา
15The LORD of hosts will defend them; and they shall devour, and shall tread down the sling-stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like the basins, like the corners of the altar.
16ในวันนั้น พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกเขาจะช่วยพวกเขาให้รอด ดั่งฝูงแกะซึ่งเป็นผู้คนของพระองค์ เพราะพวกเขาเป็นเหมือนอัญมณีบนมงกุฎ ที่ยกไว้สูงเหนือแผ่นดินของพระองค์
16And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of His people; for they shall be as the stones of a crown, glittering over His land.
17ความดีของเขายิ่งใหญ่เพียงใด ความงามของเขายิ่งใหญ่เพียงใด! ธัญพืชจะทำให้ชายหนุ่มเจริญงอกงาม และเหล้าองุ่นใหม่จะทำให้หญิงพรหมจารีเจริญงอกงาม
17For how great is their goodness, and how great is their beauty! Corn shall make the young men flourish, and new wine the maids.
