1พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสกับโมเสสว่า
1And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying:
2“เจ้าต้องกล่าวแก่ชาวอิสราเอลอีกว่า ‘ผู้ใดในชาวอิสราเอล หรือคนต่างถิ่นที่อาศัยอยู่ในอิสราเอล มอบบุตรคนใดของตน แก่โมเลค ผู้นั้นต้องถูกประหารชีวิตอย่างแน่นอน ประชาชนในแผ่นดินต้องเอาหินขว้างเขาให้ตาย
2Moreover, thou shalt say to the children of Israel: Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death; the people of the land shall stone him with stones.
3เราจะต่อต้านคนผู้นั้นและตัดเขาออกจากประชาชนของเขา เพราะเขามอบบุตรของตนแก่โมเลค ทำให้สถานบริสุทธิ์ของเราเป็นมลทินและทำให้นามศักดิ์สิทธิ์ของเราเสื่อมจากความศักดิ์สิทธิ์
3I also will set My face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people, because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile My sanctuary, and to profane My holy name.
4ถ้าประชาชนในแผ่นดินทำเป็นไม่เห็นเมื่อคนนั้นมอบบุตรของตนแก่โมเลค และไม่ประหารเขา
4And if the people of the land do at all hide their eyes from that man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and put him not to death;
5เราจะต่อต้านชายคนนั้นและครอบครัวของเขา เราจะตัดเขาและทุกคนที่ตามเขาไปเล่นชู้กับโมเลคออกจากประชาชนของตน
5then I will set My face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go astray after him, to go astray after Molech, from among their people.
6“‘คนที่หันไปหาคนทรงผีหรือหมอผีและไปเล่นชู้ตามพวกเขา เราจะต่อต้านคนนั้นและตัดเขาออกจากประชาชนของเขา
6And the soul that turneth unto the ghosts, and unto the familiar spirits, to go astray after them, I will even set My face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.
7“‘ดังนั้นจงแยกตัวไว้ให้ศักดิ์สิทธิ์และจงเป็นผู้ศักดิ์สิทธิ์ เพราะเราคือพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกเจ้า
7Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy; for I am the LORD your God.
8พวกเจ้าต้องรักษากฎเกณฑ์ของเราและปฏิบัติตาม เราคือพระยาห์เวห์ผู้ทำให้พวกเจ้าศักดิ์สิทธิ์
8And keep ye My statutes, and do them: I am the LORD who sanctify you.
9“‘ผู้ใดแช่งบิดาหรือมารดาของตนต้องถูกประหารชีวิตอย่างแน่นอน เขาได้แช่งบิดาหรือมารดาของตน ความผิดที่ทำให้เขาต้องตายตกอยู่กับเขาเอง
9For whatsoever man there be that curseth his father or his mother shall surely be put to death; he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.
10“‘ชายที่ล่วงประเวณีกับภรรยาของชายอื่น คือภรรยาของเพื่อนบ้าน ทั้งชายชู้และหญิงชู้ต้องถูกประหารชีวิตอย่างแน่นอน
10And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.
11“‘ชายที่มีเพศสัมพันธ์กับภรรยาของบิดาได้ล่วงเกินบิดาของตน ทั้งสองต้องถูกประหารชีวิตอย่างแน่นอน ความผิดที่ทำให้พวกเขาต้องตายตกอยู่กับพวกเขาเอง
11And the man that lieth with his father's wife — he hath uncovered his father's nakedness — both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
12“‘ถ้าชายใดมีเพศสัมพันธ์กับลูกสะใภ้ ทั้งสองต้องถูกประหารชีวิตอย่างแน่นอน พวกเขาได้ทำสิ่งวิปริต ความผิดที่ทำให้พวกเขาต้องตายตกอยู่กับพวกเขาเอง
12And if a man lie with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall surely be put to death; they have wrought corruption; their blood shall be upon them.
13“‘ถ้าชายใดร่วมหลับนอนกับชายเหมือนร่วมหลับนอนกับหญิง ทั้งสองได้ทำสิ่งน่ารังเกียจ พวกเขาต้องถูกประหารชีวิตอย่างแน่นอน ความผิดที่ทำให้พวกเขาต้องตายตกอยู่กับพวกเขาเอง
13And if a man lie with mankind, as with womankind, both of them have committed abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
14“‘ถ้าชายใดรับหญิงคนหนึ่งกับมารดาของนางเป็นภรรยา นั่นเป็นความชั่วร้าย ต้องเผาเขาและหญิงทั้งสองด้วยไฟ เพื่อไม่ให้มีความชั่วร้ายอยู่ท่ามกลางพวกเจ้า
14And if a man take with his wife also her mother, it is wickedness: they shall be burnt with fire, both he and they; that there be no wickedness among you.
15“‘ถ้าชายใดร่วมหลับนอนกับสัตว์ เขาต้องถูกประหารชีวิตอย่างแน่นอน และพวกเจ้าต้องฆ่าสัตว์นั้นด้วย
15And if a man lie with a beast, he shall surely be put to death; and ye shall slay the beast.
16“‘ถ้าหญิงใดเข้าใกล้สัตว์เพื่อร่วมหลับนอนกับมัน พวกเจ้าต้องฆ่าหญิงนั้นและสัตว์นั้น ทั้งสองต้องถูกประหารชีวิตอย่างแน่นอน ความผิดที่ทำให้พวกเขาต้องตายตกอยู่กับพวกเขาเอง
16And if a woman approach unto any beast, and lie down thereto, thou shalt kill the woman, and the beast: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
17“‘ถ้าชายใดมีเพศสัมพันธ์กับพี่สาวหรือน้องสาวของตน ไม่ว่าจะเป็นบุตรสาวของบิดาหรือบุตรสาวของมารดา นั่นเป็นเรื่องน่าอับอาย ทั้งสองต้องถูกตัดขาดต่อหน้าคนในชนชาติของตน เขาได้ล่วงเกินพี่สาวหรือน้องสาวของตน และต้องรับความผิดของตน
17And if a man shall take his sister, his father's daughter, or his mother's daughter, and see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness: it is a shameful thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of the children of their people: he hath uncovered his sister's nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.
18“‘ถ้าชายใดร่วมหลับนอนกับหญิงที่มีประจำเดือน เขาได้เปิดเผยทางที่เลือดของนางไหลออก และนางก็เปิดเผยทางที่เลือดของตนไหลออก ทั้งสองต้องถูกตัดขาดจากประชาชนของตน
18And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness, and shall uncover her nakedness — he hath made naked her fountain, and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood — both of them shall be cut off from among their people.
19“‘ห้ามมีเพศสัมพันธ์กับพี่สาวหรือน้องสาวของมารดา หรือพี่สาวหรือน้องสาวของบิดา เพราะผู้ที่ทำเช่นนั้นได้ล่วงเกินญาติสนิทของตน ทั้งสองต้องรับความผิดของตน
19And thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother's sister, nor of thy father's sister; for he hath made naked his near kin; they shall bear their iniquity.
20ถ้าชายใดร่วมหลับนอนกับภรรยาของลุงหรืออา เขาได้ล่วงเกินลุงหรืออาของตน ทั้งสองต้องรับบาปของตน และจะตายโดยไม่มีบุตร
20And if a man shall lie with his uncle's wife — he hath uncovered his uncle's nakedness — they shall bear their sin; they shall die childless.
21“‘ถ้าชายใดรับภรรยาของพี่ชายหรือน้องชายมาเป็นภรรยา นั่นเป็นมลทิน เขาได้ล่วงเกินพี่ชายหรือน้องชายของตน ทั้งสองจะไม่มีบุตร
21And if a man shall take his brother's wife, it is impurity: he hath uncovered his brother's nakedness; they shall be childless.
22“‘ดังนั้นพวกเจ้าต้องรักษากฎเกณฑ์และข้อบัญญัติทั้งหมดของเราและปฏิบัติตาม เพื่อแผ่นดินที่เรากำลังนำพวกเจ้าเข้าไปอาศัยจะไม่สำรอกพวกเจ้าออกมา
22Ye shall therefore keep all My statutes, and all Mine ordinances, and do them, that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein, vomit you not out.
23พวกเจ้าห้ามดำเนินตามขนบของชนชาติที่เรากำลังขับไล่ออกไปต่อหน้าพวกเจ้า เพราะพวกเขาทำสิ่งเหล่านี้ทั้งหมด เราจึงรังเกียจพวกเขา
23And ye shall not walk in the customs of the nation, which I am casting out before you; for they did all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.
24แต่เราได้กล่าวแก่พวกเจ้าว่า “พวกเจ้าจะได้รับแผ่นดินของพวกเขาเป็นมรดก และเราจะมอบให้พวกเจ้าครอบครอง เป็นแผ่นดินที่น้ำนมและน้ำผึ้งไหลบริบูรณ์” เราคือพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกเจ้า ผู้ได้แยกพวกเจ้าออกจากชนชาติต่าง ๆ
24But I have said unto you: 'Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land flowing with milk and honey.' I am the LORD your God, who have set you apart from the peoples.
25“‘ดังนั้นพวกเจ้าต้องแยกแยะระหว่างสัตว์ที่สะอาดตามพิธีกับสัตว์ที่ไม่สะอาดตามพิธี และระหว่างนกที่ไม่สะอาดตามพิธีกับนกที่สะอาดตามพิธี อย่าทำให้ตนเป็นที่น่ารังเกียจด้วยสัตว์ นก หรือสิ่งใดที่คลานอยู่บนพื้นดิน ซึ่งเราได้แยกไว้เป็นสิ่งไม่สะอาดตามพิธีสำหรับพวกเจ้า
25Ye shall therefore separate between the clean beast and the unclean, and between the unclean fowl and the clean; and ye shall not make your souls detestable by beast, or by fowl, or by any thing wherewith the ground teemeth, which I have set apart for you to hold unclean.
26พวกเจ้าต้องเป็นผู้ศักดิ์สิทธิ์สำหรับเรา เพราะเราคือพระยาห์เวห์ เราศักดิ์สิทธิ์ และได้แยกพวกเจ้าออกจากชนชาติต่าง ๆ เพื่อให้พวกเจ้าเป็นของเรา
26And ye shall be holy unto Me; for I the LORD am holy, and have set you apart from the peoples, that ye should be Mine.
27“‘ชายหรือหญิงที่เป็นคนทรงผีหรือหมอผีต้องถูกประหารชีวิตอย่างแน่นอน ต้องเอาหินขว้างพวกเขาให้ตาย ความผิดที่ทำให้พวกเขาต้องตายตกอยู่กับพวกเขาเอง’”
27A man also or a woman that divineth by a ghost or a familiar spirit, shall surely be put to death; they shall stone them with stones; their blood shall be upon them.
