1Now Elisha had spoken unto the woman, whose son he had restored to life, saying: 'Arise, and go thou and thy household, and sojourn wheresoever thou canst sojourn; for the LORD hath called for a famine; and it shall also come upon the land seven years.'
1ก่อนหน้านี้ เอลีชาได้พูดกับหญิงที่เขาทำให้ลูกชายของนางกลับมีชีวิตว่า “ลุกขึ้นเถิด เจ้ากับครอบครัวจงออกไปพักอาศัยชั่วคราวที่ใดก็ตามที่อยู่ได้ เพราะพระยาห์เวห์ทรงเรียกให้เกิดการกันดารอาหารและมันจะเกิดขึ้นในแผ่นดินเป็นเวลาเจ็ดปี”
2And the woman arose, and did according to the word of the man of God; and she went with her household, and sojourned in the land of the Philistines seven years.
2หญิงนั้นจึงลุกขึ้นทำตามคำของคนของพระเจ้า นางกับครอบครัวไปอาศัยอยู่ในแผ่นดินฟีลิสเตียเจ็ดปี
3And it came to pass at the seven years' end, that the woman returned out of the land of the Philistines; and she went forth to cry unto the king for her house and for her land.
3เมื่อครบเจ็ดปี หญิงนั้นก็กลับจากแผ่นดินฟีลิสเตีย แล้วไปวิงวอนกษัตริย์ขอบ้านและที่ดินของนางคืน
4Now the king was talking with Gehazi the servant of the man of God, saying: 'Tell me, I pray thee, all the great things that Elisha hath done.'
4ขณะนั้นกษัตริย์กำลังพูดกับเกหะซีผู้รับใช้ของคนของพระเจ้าว่า “โปรดเล่าเรื่องยิ่งใหญ่ทั้งหมดที่เอลีชาทำให้ข้าฟัง”
5And it came to pass, as he was telling the king how he had restored to life him that was dead, that, behold, the woman, whose son he had restored to life, cried to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said: 'My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life.'
5ขณะที่เกหะซีกำลังเล่าให้กษัตริย์ฟังว่าเอลีชาทำให้คนตายกลับมีชีวิตได้อย่างไร ดูสิ หญิงที่เอลีชาทำให้ลูกชายของนางกลับมีชีวิตก็มาวิงวอนกษัตริย์เรื่องบ้านและที่ดินของนางพอดี เกหะซีจึงพูดว่า “ท่านกษัตริย์ นายของข้า นี่คือหญิงคนนั้นและนี่คือลูกชายของนางที่เอลีชาทำให้กลับมีชีวิต”
6And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed unto her a certain officer, saying: 'Restore all that was hers, and all the fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now.'
6เมื่อกษัตริย์ถาม หญิงนั้นก็เล่าเรื่องให้ฟัง กษัตริย์จึงแต่งตั้งเจ้าหน้าที่คนหนึ่งให้ดูแลเรื่องของนางพร้อมสั่งว่า “คืนทุกสิ่งที่เป็นของนาง รวมทั้งผลผลิตทั้งหมดจากที่ดินตั้งแต่วันที่นางออกจากแผ่นดินจนถึงวันนี้”
7And Elisha came to Damascus; and Ben-hadad the king of Aram was sick; and it was told him, saying. 'The man of God is come hither.'
7เอลีชาไปดามัสกัส ขณะนั้นเบนฮาดัดกษัตริย์แห่งซีเรียกำลังป่วย มีคนบอกเขาว่า “คนของพระเจ้ามาที่นี่แล้ว”
8And the king said unto Hazael: 'Take a present in thy hand, and go meet the man of God, and inquire of the LORD by him, saying: Shall I recover of this sickness?'
8กษัตริย์กล่าวกับฮาซาเอลว่า “นำของกำนัลติดมือไปด้วย ไปพบคนของพระเจ้า แล้วถามพระยาห์เวห์ผ่านเขาว่า ‘ข้าจะหายจากอาการป่วยนี้หรือไม่?’”
9So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camels' burden, and came and stood before him, and said: 'Thy son Ben-hadad king of Aram hath sent me to thee, saying: Shall I recover of this sickness?'
9ฮาซาเอลจึงไปพบเอลีชาโดยนำของกำนัลซึ่งเป็นของดีทุกอย่างจากดามัสกัสบรรทุกบนอูฐสี่สิบตัวไปด้วย เขามายืนต่อหน้าเอลีชาและพูดว่า “เบนฮาดัดกษัตริย์แห่งซีเรียผู้เป็นบุตรของท่านส่งข้ามาถามว่า ‘ข้าจะหายจากอาการป่วยนี้หรือไม่?’”
10And Elisha said unto him: 'Go, say unto him: Thou shalt surely recover; howbeit the LORD hath shown me that he shall surely die.'
10เอลีชาตอบว่า “ไปบอกเขาว่า ‘ท่านจะหายอย่างแน่นอน’ แต่พระยาห์เวห์ทรงสำแดงแก่ข้าว่าเขาจะตายอย่างแน่นอน”
11And he settled his countenance stedfastly upon him, until he was ashamed; and the man of God wept.
11เอลีชาจ้องฮาซาเอลอย่างแน่วแน่จนเกิดความอึดอัด แล้วคนของพระเจ้าก็ร้องไห้
12And Hazael said: 'Why weepeth my lord?' And he answered: 'Because I know the evil that thou wilt do unto the children of Israel: their strongholds wilt thou set on fire, and their young men wilt thou slay with the sword, and wilt dash in pieces their little ones, and rip up their women with child.'
12ฮาซาเอลถามว่า “นายของข้า ทำไมท่านจึงร้องไห้?” เขาตอบว่า “เพราะข้ารู้ถึงความชั่วร้ายที่เจ้าจะทำต่อชาวอิสราเอล เจ้าจะเผาป้อมปราการของพวกเขา ฆ่าชายหนุ่มด้วยดาบ ทุบเด็กเล็กจนแหลก และผ่าท้องหญิงมีครรภ์”
13And Hazael said: 'But what is thy servant, who is but a dog, that he should do this great thing?' And Elisha answered: 'The LORD hath shown me that thou shalt be king over Aram.'

14Then he departed from Elisha, and came to his master, who said to him: 'What said Elisha to thee?' And he answered: 'He told me that thou wouldest surely recover.'
14ฮาซาเอลจึงจากเอลีชาและกลับไปหานายของตน กษัตริย์ถามเขาว่า “เอลีชาพูดอะไรกับเจ้า?” เขาตอบว่า “เขาบอกว่าท่านจะหายอย่างแน่นอน”
15And it came to pass on the morrow, that he took the coverlet, and dipped it in water, and spread it on his face, so that he died; and Hazael reigned in his stead.
15วันรุ่งขึ้นฮาซาเอลเอาผ้าหนาไปชุบน้ำแล้วคลุมลงบนใบหน้าของกษัตริย์จนเขาตาย จากนั้นฮาซาเอลก็ขึ้นครองราชย์แทน
16And in the fifth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel, Jehoshaphat being the king of Judah, Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah began to reign.
16ในปีที่ห้าของโยรัมบุตรอาหับกษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอล ขณะที่เยโฮชาฟัทเป็นกษัตริย์แห่งยูดาห์ เยโฮรัมบุตรเยโฮชาฟัทขึ้นครองราชย์เป็นกษัตริย์แห่งยูดาห์
17Thirty and two years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem.
17เขามีอายุสามสิบสองปี เมื่อขึ้นครองราชย์ และครองราชย์ที่เยรูซาเล็มแปดปี
18And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab; for he had the daughter of Ahab to wife; and he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD.
18เขาดำเนินตามทางของกษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอลเช่นเดียวกับวงศ์อาหับ เพราะเขาแต่งงานกับบุตรสาวของอาหับ เขาทำสิ่งชั่วร้ายในสายพระเนตรของพระยาห์เวห์
19Howbeit the LORD would not destroy Judah, for David His servant's sake, as He promised him to give unto him a lamp and to his children alway.
19แต่พระยาห์เวห์ไม่ทรงประสงค์จะทำลายยูดาห์ เพราะเห็นแก่ดาวิดผู้รับใช้ของพระองค์ ตามที่ทรงสัญญาว่าจะประทานตะเกียงให้ดาวิดและลูกหลานของเขาตลอดไป
20In his days Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah, and made a king over themselves.
20ในสมัยของเขา เอโดมกบฏต่ออำนาจของยูดาห์และตั้งกษัตริย์ของตนเอง
21Then Joram passed over to Zair, and all his chariots with him; and he rose up by night, and smote the Edomites that compassed him about, and the captains of the chariots; and the people fled to their tents.
21โยรัมจึงข้ามไปยังซาอีร์พร้อมรถศึกทั้งหมดของเขา เขาลุกขึ้นในเวลากลางคืนพร้อมกับบรรดาผู้บัญชาการรถศึกแล้วโจมตีชาวเอโดมที่ล้อมเขาไว้ คนทั้งหลายก็หนีกลับกระโจมของตน
22Yet Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah, unto this day. Then did Libnah revolt at the same time.
22เอโดมจึงกบฏต่ออำนาจของยูดาห์มาจนถึงทุกวันนี้และลิบนาห์ก็กบฏในเวลาเดียวกัน
23And the rest of the acts of Joram, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
23ส่วนเหตุการณ์อื่นๆในรัชกาลโยรัมและทุกสิ่งที่เขาทำไม่ได้เขียนไว้ในหนังสือพงศาวดารของบรรดากษัตริย์แห่งยูดาห์หรือ?
24And Joram slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David; and Ahaziah his son reigned in his stead.
24โยรัมล่วงลับไปอยู่กับบรรพบุรุษและถูกฝังไว้กับบรรพบุรุษในนครดาวิด อาหัสยาห์บุตรของเขาขึ้นครองราชย์แทน
25In the twelfth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel did Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah begin to reign.
25ในปีที่สิบสองของโยรัมบุตรอาหับกษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอล อาหัสยาห์บุตรเยโฮรัมกษัตริย์แห่งยูดาห์ขึ้นครองราชย์
26Two and twenty years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign; and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Athaliah the daughter of Omri king of Israel.
26อาหัสยาห์มีอายุยี่สิบสองปี เมื่อขึ้นครองราชย์ และครองราชย์ที่เยรูซาเล็มหนึ่งปี มารดาของเขาชื่ออาธาลิยาห์บุตรสาวของอมรีกษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอล
27And he walked in the way of the house of Ahab, and did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as did the house of Ahab; for he was the son-in-law of the house of Ahab.
27เขาดำเนินตามทางของวงศ์อาหับและทำสิ่งชั่วร้ายในสายพระเนตรของพระยาห์เวห์เช่นเดียวกับวงศ์อาหับ เพราะเขาเป็นเขยของวงศ์อาหับ
28And he went with Joram the son of Ahab to war against Hazael king of Aram at Ramoth-gilead; and the Arameans wounded Joram.
28เขาไปกับโยรัมบุตรอาหับทำสงครามกับฮาซาเอลกษัตริย์แห่งซีเรียที่ราโมทกิเลอาด และชาวซีเรียทำให้โยรัมบาดเจ็บ
29And king Joram returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Arameans had given him at Ramah, when he fought against Hazael king of Aram. And Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Joram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick.
