1In the seventeenth year of Pekah the son of Remaliah Ahaz the son of Jotham king of Judah began to reign.
1ในปีที่สิบเจ็ดแห่งรัชกาลเปคาห์บุตรเรมาลิยาห์ อาหัสบุตรโยธามกษัตริย์แห่งยูดาห์เริ่มครองราชย์
2Twenty years old was Ahaz when he began to reign; and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem; and he did not that which was right in the eyes of the LORD his God, like David his father.
2อาหัสอายุยี่สิบปีเมื่อเริ่มครองราชย์ และครองราชย์สิบหกปีในเยรูซาเล็ม เขาไม่ได้ทำสิ่งที่ถูกต้องในสายพระเนตรของพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของเขาเหมือนดาวิดบรรพบุรุษของเขา
3But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, yea, and made his son to pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel.
3แต่เขาดำเนินตามแบบของบรรดากษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอล และถึงกับให้บุตรชายผ่านไฟตามสิ่งน่ารังเกียจของบรรดาประชาชาติที่พระยาห์เวห์ทรงขับไล่ไปให้พ้นหน้าลูกหลานอิสราเอล
4And he sacrificed and offered in the high places, and on the hills, and under every leafy tree.
4เขาถวายเครื่องบูชา และเผาเครื่องหอมบนสถานบูชาบนที่สูงบนเนินเขา และใต้ต้นไม้เขียวสดทุกต้น
5Then Rezin king of Aram and Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel came up to Jerusalem to war; and they besieged Ahaz, but could not overcome him.
5แล้วเรซินกษัตริย์แห่งซีเรีย และเปคาห์บุตรเรมาลิยาห์กษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอลได้ยกทัพขึ้นมายังเยรูซาเล็มเพื่อทำสงคราม พวกเขาปิดล้อมอาหัสไว้ แต่ไม่สามารถเอาชนะเขาได้
6At that time Rezin king of Aram recovered Elath to Aram, and drove the Jews from Elath; and the Edomites came to Elath, and dwelt there, unto this day.
6ในเวลานั้นเรซินกษัตริย์แห่งซีเรียได้ยึดเมืองเอลัทกลับคืนมาเป็นของซีเรีย และขับไล่ชาวยิวออกไปจากเอลัท และชาวซีเรียก็เข้ามาในเอลัท และอาศัยอยู่ที่นั่นจนถึงทุกวันนี้
7So Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, saying: 'I am thy servant and thy son; come up, and save me out of the hand of the king of Aram, and out of the hand of the king of Israel, who rise up against me.'
7อาหัสส่งผู้นำสารไปหาทิกลัทปิเลเสอร์กษัตริย์แห่งอัสซีเรียว่า “ข้าเป็นผู้รับใช้ และเป็นบุตรของท่าน โปรดขึ้นมาช่วยข้าให้พ้นจากอำนาจของกษัตริย์แห่งซีเรีย และกษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอลที่กำลังลุกขึ้นต่อสู้กับข้า”
8And Ahaz took the silver and gold that was found in the house of the LORD, and in the treasures of the king's house, and sent it for a present to the king of Assyria.
8อาหัสนำเงิน และทองคำที่พบในพระนิเวศของพระยาห์เวห์ และในคลังพระราชวังของกษัตริย์ส่งไปเป็นของกำนัลแด่กษัตริย์แห่งอัสซีเรีย
9And the king of Assyria hearkened unto him; and the king of Assyria went up against Damascus, and took it, and carried the people of it captive to Kir, and slew Rezin.
9กษัตริย์แห่งอัสซีเรียรับฟังเขา และกษัตริย์แห่งอัสซีเรียได้ขึ้นไปโจมตีดามัสกัส ยึดเมืองนั้นได้ และกวาดต้อนประชาชนไปเป็นเชลยที่คีร์ และฆ่าเรซินเสีย
10And king Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, and saw the altar that was at Damascus; and king Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest the fashion of the altar, and the pattern of it, according to all the workmanship thereof.
10กษัตริย์อาหัสไปดามัสกัสเพื่อพบทิกลัทปิเลเสอร์กษัตริย์แห่งอัสซีเรีย เมื่อเห็นแท่นบูชาที่ดามัสกัส กษัตริย์อาหัสก็ส่งภาพวาดแท่นบูชา และแบบแปลนสำหรับสร้างแท่นนั้นไปให้อุรียาห์ปุโรหิต
11And Urijah the priest built an altar; according to all that king Ahaz had sent from Damascus, so did Urijah the priest make it against the coming of king Ahaz from Damascus.
11อุรียาห์ปุโรหิตก็สร้างแท่นบูชาขึ้น อุรียาห์ปุโรหิตได้สร้างแท่นบูชานั้นเตรียมไว้ก่อนที่กษัตริย์อาหัสจะกลับมาจากดามัสกัสตามแบบทุกประการที่กษัตริย์อาหัสส่งมาจากดามัสกัส
12And when the king was come from Damascus, the king saw the altar; and the king drew near unto the altar, and offered thereon.
12เมื่อกษัตริย์กลับมาจากดามัสกัส เขาเห็นแท่นบูชา กษัตริย์เข้าไปใกล้แท่นบูชา และถวายเครื่องบูชาบนนั้น
13And he offered his burnt-offering and his meal-offering, and poured his drink-offering, and dashed the blood of his peace-offerings against the altar.
13เขาเผาเครื่องเผาบูชา และเครื่องธัญบูชาของตนเทเครื่องดื่มบูชา และประพรมเลือดของเครื่องสันติบูชาลงบนแท่นบูชา
14And the brazen altar, which was before the LORD, he brought from the forefront of the house, from between his altar and the house of the LORD, and put it on the north side of his altar.
14ส่วนแท่นบูชาทองสัมฤทธิ์ซึ่งอยู่ต่อหน้าพระยาห์เวห์เขาย้ายจากหน้าพระนิเวศจากตำแหน่งระหว่างแท่นบูชาใหม่ของเขากับพระนิเวศของพระยาห์เวห์ไปตั้งไว้ทางด้านเหนือของแท่นบูชาของเขา
15And king Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest, saying: 'Upon the great altar offer the morning burnt-offering, and the evening meal-offering, and the king's burnt-offering, and his meal-offering, with the burnt-offering of all the people of the land, and their meal-offering, and their drink-offerings; and dash against it all the blood of the burnt-offering, and all the blood of the sacrifice; but the brazen altar shall be for me to look to.'
15กษัตริย์อาหัสสั่งอุรียาห์ปุโรหิตว่า “บนแท่นบูชาใหญ่ จงเผาเครื่องเผาบูชาตอนเช้า เครื่องธัญบูชาตอนเย็น เครื่องเผาบูชา และเครื่องธัญบูชาของกษัตริย์พร้อมกับเครื่องเผาบูชาของประชาชนทั้งแผ่นดิน เครื่องธัญบูชา และเครื่องดื่มบูชาของพวกเขา จงประพรมเลือดทั้งหมดของเครื่องเผาบูชา และเลือดทั้งหมดของเครื่องบูชาลงบนนั้น ส่วนแท่นบูชาทองสัมฤทธิ์จะมีไว้ให้ข้าใช้ทูลถาม”
16Thus did Urijah the priest, according to all that king Ahaz commanded.

17And king Ahaz cut off the borders of the bases, and removed the laver from off them; and took down the sea from off the brazen oxen that were under it, and put it upon a pavement of stone.
17กษัตริย์อาหัสตัดแผงข้างของฐานออก ยกอ่างล้างออกจากฐานเหล่านั้น ยกอ่างใหญ่ทองสัมฤทธิ์ที่เรียกว่า “ทะเล” ออกจากวัวทองสัมฤทธิ์ที่รองรับอยู่ และวางไว้บนพื้นหิน
18And the covered place for the sabbath that they had built in the house, and the king's entry without, turned he unto the house of the LORD, because of the king of Assyria.
18เขารื้อทางเดินมีหลังคาสำหรับวันสะบาโตที่พวกเขาสร้างไว้ในพระนิเวศ และทางเข้าด้านนอกของกษัตริย์ที่ไปยังพระนิเวศของพระยาห์เวห์ เพราะกษัตริย์แห่งอัสซีเรีย
19Now the rest of the acts of Ahaz which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

20And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David; and Hezekiah his son reigned in his stead.
20อาหัสล่วงลับไปอยู่กับบรรพบุรุษ และถูกฝังไว้กับบรรพบุรุษของเขาในเมืองของดาวิด และเฮเซคียาห์บุตรของเขาก็ขึ้นครองราชย์แทน
