1Now Elisha had spoken unto the woman, whose son he had restored to life, saying: 'Arise, and go thou and thy household, and sojourn wheresoever thou canst sojourn; for the LORD hath called for a famine; and it shall also come upon the land seven years.'
1以利沙 曾對所救活之子的那婦人說：「你和你的全家要起身往你可住的地方去住，因為耶和華命饑荒降在這地七年。」
2And the woman arose, and did according to the word of the man of God; and she went with her household, and sojourned in the land of the Philistines seven years.
2婦人就起身，照神人的話帶着全家往 非利士 地去，住了七年。
3And it came to pass at the seven years' end, that the woman returned out of the land of the Philistines; and she went forth to cry unto the king for her house and for her land.
3七年完了，那婦人從 非利士 地回來，就出去為自己的房屋田地哀告王。
4Now the king was talking with Gehazi the servant of the man of God, saying: 'Tell me, I pray thee, all the great things that Elisha hath done.'
4那時王正與神人的僕人 基哈西 說：「請你將 以利沙 所行的一切大事告訴我。」
5And it came to pass, as he was telling the king how he had restored to life him that was dead, that, behold, the woman, whose son he had restored to life, cried to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said: 'My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life.'
5基哈西 告訴王 以利沙 如何使死人復活，恰巧 以利沙 所救活、她兒子的那婦人為自己的房屋田地來哀告王。 基哈西 說：「我主我王，這就是那婦人，這是她的兒子，就是 以利沙 所救活的。」
6And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed unto her a certain officer, saying: 'Restore all that was hers, and all the fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now.'
6王問那婦人，她就把那事告訴王。於是王為她派一個太監，說：「凡屬這婦人的都還給她，自從她離開本地直到今日，她田地的出產也都還給她。」
7And Elisha came to Damascus; and Ben-hadad the king of Aram was sick; and it was told him, saying. 'The man of God is come hither.'
7以利沙 來到 大馬士革 ， 亞蘭 王 便‧哈達 正患病。有人告訴王說：「神人來到這裏了。」
8And the king said unto Hazael: 'Take a present in thy hand, and go meet the man of God, and inquire of the LORD by him, saying: Shall I recover of this sickness?'
8王就吩咐 哈薛 說：「你帶着禮物去見神人，託他求問耶和華，我這病能好不能好？」
9So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camels' burden, and came and stood before him, and said: 'Thy son Ben-hadad king of Aram hath sent me to thee, saying: Shall I recover of this sickness?'
9於是 哈薛 用四十個駱駝，馱着 大馬士革 的各樣美物為禮物，去見 以利沙 。到了他那裏，站在他面前，說：「你兒子 亞蘭 王 便‧哈達 打發我來見你，他問說：『我這病能好不能好？』」
10And Elisha said unto him: 'Go, say unto him: Thou shalt surely recover; howbeit the LORD hath shown me that he shall surely die.'
10以利沙 對 哈薛 說：「你回去告訴他說，這病必能好；但耶和華指示我，他必要死。」
11And he settled his countenance stedfastly upon him, until he was ashamed; and the man of God wept.
11神人定睛看着 哈薛 ，甚至他慚愧。神人就哭了；
12And Hazael said: 'Why weepeth my lord?' And he answered: 'Because I know the evil that thou wilt do unto the children of Israel: their strongholds wilt thou set on fire, and their young men wilt thou slay with the sword, and wilt dash in pieces their little ones, and rip up their women with child.'
12哈薛 說：「我主為甚麼哭？」回答說：「因為我知道你必苦害 以色列 人，用火焚燒他們的保障，用刀殺死他們的壯丁，摔死他們的嬰孩，剖開他們的孕婦。」
13And Hazael said: 'But what is thy servant, who is but a dog, that he should do this great thing?' And Elisha answered: 'The LORD hath shown me that thou shalt be king over Aram.'
13哈薛 說：「你僕人算甚麼，不過是一條狗，焉能行這大事呢？」 以利沙 回答說：「耶和華指示我，你必作 亞蘭 王。」
14Then he departed from Elisha, and came to his master, who said to him: 'What said Elisha to thee?' And he answered: 'He told me that thou wouldest surely recover.'
14哈薛 離開 以利沙 ，回去見他的主人。主人問他說：「 以利沙 對你說甚麼？」回答說：「他告訴我你必能好。」
15And it came to pass on the morrow, that he took the coverlet, and dipped it in water, and spread it on his face, so that he died; and Hazael reigned in his stead.
15次日， 哈薛 拿被窩浸在水中，蒙住王的臉，王就死了。於是 哈薛 篡了他的位。
16And in the fifth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel, Jehoshaphat being the king of Judah, Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah began to reign.
16以色列 王 亞哈 的兒子 約蘭 第五年， 猶大 王 約沙法 還在位的時候， 約沙法 的兒子 約蘭 登基作了 猶大 王。
17Thirty and two years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem.
17約蘭 登基的時候年三十二歲，在 耶路撒冷 作王八年。
18And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab; for he had the daughter of Ahab to wife; and he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD.
18他行 以色列 諸王所行的，與 亞哈 家一樣；因為他娶了 亞哈 的女兒為妻，行耶和華眼中看為惡的事。
19Howbeit the LORD would not destroy Judah, for David His servant's sake, as He promised him to give unto him a lamp and to his children alway.
19耶和華卻因他僕人 大衛 的緣故，仍不肯滅絕 猶大 ，照他所應許 大衛 的話，永遠賜燈光與他的子孫。
20In his days Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah, and made a king over themselves.
20約蘭 年間， 以東 人背叛 猶大 ，脫離他的權下，自己立王。
21Then Joram passed over to Zair, and all his chariots with him; and he rose up by night, and smote the Edomites that compassed him about, and the captains of the chariots; and the people fled to their tents.
21約蘭 率領所有的戰車往 撒益 去，夜間起來，攻打圍困他的 以東 人和車 兵 長； 猶大 兵就逃跑，各回各家去了。
22Yet Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah, unto this day. Then did Libnah revolt at the same time.
22這樣， 以東 人背叛 猶大 ，脫離他的權下，直到今日。那時 立拿 人也背叛了。
23And the rest of the acts of Joram, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
23約蘭 其餘的事，凡他所行的，都寫在 猶大 列王記上。
24And Joram slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David; and Ahaziah his son reigned in his stead.
24約蘭 與他列祖同睡，葬在 大衛城 他列祖的墳地裏。他兒子 亞哈謝 接續他作王。
25In the twelfth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel did Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah begin to reign.
25以色列 王 亞哈 的兒子 約蘭 十二年， 猶大 王 約蘭 的兒子 亞哈謝 登基。
26Two and twenty years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign; and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Athaliah the daughter of Omri king of Israel.
26他登基的時候年二十二歲，在 耶路撒冷 作王一年。他母親名叫 亞她利雅 ，是 以色列 王 暗利 的孫女。
27And he walked in the way of the house of Ahab, and did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as did the house of Ahab; for he was the son-in-law of the house of Ahab.
27亞哈謝 效法 亞哈 家行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，與 亞哈 家一樣，因為他是 亞哈 家的女婿。
28And he went with Joram the son of Ahab to war against Hazael king of Aram at Ramoth-gilead; and the Arameans wounded Joram.
28他與 亞哈 的兒子 約蘭 同往 基列 的 拉末 去，與 亞蘭 王 哈薛 爭戰。 亞蘭 人打傷了 約蘭 ，
29And king Joram returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Arameans had given him at Ramah, when he fought against Hazael king of Aram. And Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Joram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick.
29約蘭 王回到 耶斯列 ，醫治在 拉末 與 亞蘭 王 哈薛 打仗的時候所受的傷。 猶大 王 約蘭 的兒子 亞哈謝 因為 亞哈 的兒子 約蘭 病了，就下到 耶斯列 看望他。
