1私と話していた御使いが再び来て、眠りから起こされる人のように、私を目覚めさせた。
1And the angel that spoke with me returned, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep.
2彼は私に言った。「何が見えるか。」 私は言った。「見よ、全体が金でできた一つの燭台が見えます。その頂には油つぼが一つあり、燭台には七つのともしび皿があり、それぞれのともしび皿に七本ずつの管が通じています。
2And he said unto me: 'What seest thou?' And I said: 'I have seen, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and its seven lamps thereon; there are seven pipes, yea, seven, to the lamps, which are upon the top thereof;
3また、そのそばには二本のオリーブの木があり、一つは油つぼの右側に、もう一つは左側にあります。」
3and two olive-trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.'
4私は、私と話していた御使いに尋ねた。「わが主よ、これらは何ですか。」
4And I answered and spoke to the angel that spoke with me, saying: 'What are these, my lord?'
5私と話していた御使いは答えた。「これらが何であるか、あなたは知らないのか。」 私は言った。「わが主よ、知りません。」
5Then the angel that spoke with me answered and said unto me: 'Knowest thou not what these are?' And I said: 'No, my lord.'
6すると彼は私に答えた。「これはゼルバベルに臨んだ主の言葉である。『権勢によらず、力によらず、私の霊による』と万軍の主は言われる。
6Then he answered and spoke unto me, saying: 'This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying: Not by might, nor by power, but by My spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
7大いなる山よ、あなたは何者なのか。ゼルバベルの前で平地となれ。彼は『恵みあれ、恵みあれ』という叫び声の中で、頂石を運び出す。」
7Who art thou, O great mountain before Zerubbabel? thou shalt become a plain; and he shall bring forth the top stone with shoutings of Grace, grace, unto it.'
8さらに主の言葉が私に臨んだ。
8Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:
9「ゼルバベルの手がこの家の基礎を据えた。その手がこれを完成させる。その時、あなたは万軍の主が私をあなたがたに遣わされたことを知る。
9'The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you.
10小さな始まりの日を、だれがさげすんだのか。この七つの目は、ゼルバベルの手にある下げ振りを見て喜ぶ。これらは全地を行き巡る主の目である。」
10For who hath despised the day of small things? even they shall see with joy the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel, even these seven, which are the eyes of the LORD, that run to and fro through the whole earth.'
11私は彼に尋ねた。「燭台の右側と左側にある、この二本のオリーブの木は何ですか。」
11Then answered I, and said unto him: 'What are these two olive-trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?'
12私はもう一度彼に尋ねた。「金の油を注ぎ出す二本の金の管のそばにある、この二本のオリーブの枝は何ですか。」
12And I answered the second time, and said unto him: 'What are these two olive branches, which are beside the two golden spouts, that empty the golden oil out of themselves?'
13彼は私に答えた。「これらが何であるか、あなたは知らないのか。」 私は言った。「わが主よ、知りません。」
13And he answered me and said: 'Knowest thou not what these are?' And I said: 'No, my lord.'
14彼は言った。「これらは全地の主 のそばに立つ、二人の油注がれた者である。」
14Then said he: 'These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.'
