1Admonish them to be subject to princes and powers, to obey at a word, to be ready to every good work.
1你要提醒眾人，叫他們順服作官的、掌權的，遵他的命，預備行各樣的善事。
2To speak evil of no man, not to be litigious, but gentle: shewing all mildness towards all men.
2不要毀謗，不要爭競，總要和平，向眾人大顯溫柔。
3For we ourselves also were some time unwise, incredulous, erring, slaves to divers desires and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
3我們從前也是無知、悖逆、受迷惑、服事各樣私慾，和宴樂，常存惡毒嫉妒的心，是可恨的，又是彼此相恨。
4But when the goodness and kindness of God our Saviour appeared:
4但到了上帝－我們救主的恩慈和他向人所施的慈愛顯明的時候，
5Not by the works of justice, which we have done, but according to his mercy, he saved us, by the laver of regeneration, and renovation of the Holy Ghost;
5他便救了我們；並不是因我們自己所行的義，乃是照他的憐憫，藉着重生的洗和聖靈的更新。
6Whom he hath poured forth upon us abundantly, through Jesus Christ our Saviour:
6聖靈就是上帝藉着耶穌基督－我們救主厚厚澆灌在我們身上的，
7That, being justified by his grace, we may be heirs, according to hope of life everlasting.
7好叫我們因他的恩得稱為義，可以憑着永生的盼望成為後嗣。
8It is a faithful saying: and these things I will have thee affirm constantly: that they, who believe in God, may be careful to excel in good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
8這話是可信的。 我也願你把這些事切切實實地講明，使那些已信上帝的人留心做正經事業。這都是美事，並且與人有益。
9But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law. For they are unprofitable and vain.
9要遠避無知的辯論和家譜 的空談 ，以及紛爭，並因律法而起的爭競，因為這都是虛妄無益的。
10A man that is a heretic, after the first and second admonition, avoid:
10分門結黨的人，警戒過一兩次，就要棄絕他。
11Knowing that he, that is such an one, is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned by his own judgment.
11因為知道這等人已經背道，犯了罪，自己明知不是，還是去做。
12When I shall send to thee Artemas or Tychicus, make haste to come unto me to Nicopolis. For there I have determined to winter.
12我打發 亞提馬 或是 推基古 到你那裏去的時候，你要趕緊往 尼哥坡里 去見我，因為我已經定意在那裏過冬。
13Send forward Zenas, the lawyer, and Apollo, with care, that nothing be wanting to them.
13你要趕緊給律師 西納 和 亞波羅 送行，叫他們沒有缺乏。
14And let our men also learn to excel in good works for necessary uses: that they be not unfruitful.
14並且我們的人要學習正經事業，預備所需用的，免得不結果子。
15All that are with me salute thee: salute them that love us in the faith. The grace of God be with you all. Amen.
15同我在一處的人都問你安。請代問那些因有信心愛我們的人安。願恩惠 常 與你們眾人同在！
