1And the apostles and brethren, who were in Judea, heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.
1使徒和在 猶太 的眾弟兄聽說外邦人也領受了上帝的道。
2And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contended with him,
2及至 彼得 上了 耶路撒冷 ，那些奉割禮的門徒和他爭辯說：
3Saying: Why didst thou go in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them?
3「你進入未受割禮之人的家和他們一同吃飯了。」
4But Peter began and declared to them the matter in order, saying:
4彼得 就開口把這事挨次給他們講解說：
5I was in the city of Joppe praying, and I saw in an ecstasy of mind a vision, a certain vessel descending, as it were a great sheet let down from heaven by four corners, and it came even unto me.
5「我在 約帕 城裏禱告的時候，魂遊象外，看見異象，有一物降下，好像一塊大布，繫着四角，從天縋下，直來到我跟前。
6Into which looking, I considered, and saw fourfooted creatures of the earth, and beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air:
6我定睛觀看，見內中有地上四足的牲畜和野獸、昆蟲，並天上的飛鳥。
7And I heard also a voice saying to me: Arise, Peter; kill and eat.
7我且聽見有聲音向我說：『 彼得 ，起來，宰了吃！』
8And I said: Not so, Lord; for nothing common or unclean hath ever entered into my mouth.
8我說：『主啊，這是不可的！凡俗而不潔淨的物從來沒有入過我的口。』
9And the voice answered again from heaven: What God hath made clean, do not thou call common.
9第二次，有聲音從天上說：『上帝所潔淨的，你不可當作俗物。』
10And this was done three times: and all were taken up again into heaven.
10這樣一連三次，就都收回天上去了。
11And behold, immediately there were three men come to the house wherein I was, sent to me from Caesarea.
11正當那時，有三個人站在我們所住的房門前，是從 凱撒利亞 差來見我的。
12And the Spirit said to me, that I should go with them, nothing doubting. And these six brethren went with me also: and we entered into the man’s house.
12聖靈吩咐我和他們同去，不要疑惑。同着我去的，還有這六位弟兄，我們都進了那人的家。
13And he told us how he had seen an angel in his house, standing, and saying to him: Send to Joppe, and call hither Simon, who is surnamed Peter,
13那人就告訴我們，他如何看見一位天使站在他屋裏，說：『你打發人往 約帕 去，請那稱呼 彼得 的 西門 來，
14Who shall speak to thee words, whereby thou shalt be saved, and all thy house.
14他有話告訴你，可以叫你和你的全家得救。』
15And when I had begun to speak, the Holy Ghost fell upon them, as upon us also in the beginning.
15我一開講，聖靈便降在他們身上，正像當初降在我們身上一樣。
16And I remembered the word of the Lord, how that he said: John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.
16我就想起主的話說：『 約翰 是用水施洗，但你們要受聖靈的洗。』
17If then God gave them the same grace, as to us also who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ; who was I, that could withstand God?
17上帝既然給他們恩賜，像在我們信主耶穌基督的時候給了我們一樣；我是誰，能攔阻上帝呢？」
18Having heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying: God then hath also to the Gentiles given repentance unto life.
18眾人聽見這話，就不言語了，只歸榮耀與上帝，說：「這樣看來，上帝也賜恩給外邦人，叫他們悔改得生命了。」
19Now they who had been dispersed by the persecution that arose on occasion of Stephen, went about as far as Phenice and Cyprus and Antioch, speaking the word to none, but to the Jews only.
19那些因 司提反 的事遭患難四散的門徒直走到 腓尼基 和 塞浦路斯 ，並 安提阿 ；他們不向別人講道，只向 猶太 人講。
20But some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who, when they were entered into Antioch, spoke also to the Greeks, preaching the Lord Jesus.
20但內中有 塞浦路斯 和 古利奈 人，他們到了 安提阿 也向 希臘 人傳講主耶穌。
21And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believing, were converted to the Lord.
21主與他們同在，信而歸主的人就很多了。
22And the tidings came to the ears of the church that was at Jerusalem, touching these things: and they sent Barnabas as far as Antioch.
22這風聲傳到 耶路撒冷 教會人的耳中，他們就打發 巴拿巴 出去，走到 安提阿 為止。
23Who, when he was come, and had seen the grace of God, rejoiced: and he exhorted them all with purpose of heart to continue in the Lord.
23他到了那裏，看見上帝所賜的恩就歡喜，勸勉眾人，立定心志，恆久靠主。
24For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith. And a great multitude was added to the Lord.
24這 巴拿巴 原是個好人，被聖靈充滿，大有信心。於是有許多人歸服了主。
25And Barnabas went to Tarsus to seek Saul: whom, when he had found, he brought to Antioch.
25他又往 大數 去找 掃羅 ，
26And they conversed there in the church a whole year; and they taught a great multitude, so that at Antioch the disciples were first named Christians.
26找着了，就帶他到 安提阿 去。他們足有一年的工夫和教會一同聚集，教訓了許多人。門徒稱為「基督徒」是從 安提阿 起首。
27And in these days there came prophets from Jerusalem to Antioch:
27當那些日子，有幾位先知從 耶路撒冷 下到 安提阿 。
28And one of them named Agabus, rising up, signified by the Spirit, that there should be a great famine over the whole world, which came to pass under Claudius.
28內中有一位，名叫 亞迦布 ，站起來，藉着 聖 靈指明天下將有大饑荒。（這事到 克勞第 年間果然有了。）
29And the disciples, every man according to his ability, purposed to send relief to the brethren who dwelt in Judea:
29於是門徒定意照各人的力量捐錢，送去供給住在 猶太 的弟兄。
30Which also they did, sending it to the ancients, by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.
30他們就這樣行，把捐項託 巴拿巴 和 掃羅 送到眾長老那裏。
