1And some coming down from Judea, taught the brethren: That except you be circumcised after the manner of Moses, you cannot be saved.
1有幾個人從 猶太 下來，教訓弟兄們說：「你們若不按 摩西 的規條受割禮，不能得救。」
2And when Paul and Barnabas had no small contest with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain others of the other side, should go up to the apostles and priests to Jerusalem about this question.
2保羅 、 巴拿巴 與他們大大地紛爭辯論； 眾門徒 就定規，叫 保羅 、 巴拿巴 和本會中幾個人，為所辯論的，上 耶路撒冷 去見使徒和長老。
3They therefore being brought on their way by the church, passed through Phenice, and Samaria, relating the conversion of the Gentiles; and they caused great joy to all the brethren.
3於是教會送他們起行。他們經過 腓尼基 、 撒馬利亞 ，隨處傳說外邦人歸主的事，叫眾弟兄都甚歡喜。
4And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received by the church, and by the apostles and ancients, declaring how great things God had done with them.
4到了 耶路撒冷 ，教會和使徒並長老都接待他們，他們就述說上帝同他們所行的一切事。
5But there arose some of the sect of the Pharisees that believed, saying: They must be circumcised, and be commanded to observe the law of Moses.
5惟有幾個信徒， 是法利賽教門的人，起來說：「必須給外邦人行割禮，吩咐他們遵守 摩西 的律法。」
6And the apostles and ancients assembled to consider of this matter.
6使徒和長老聚會商議這事；
7And when there had been much disputing, Peter, rising up, said to them: Men, brethren, you know, that in former days God made choice among us, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
7辯論已經多了， 彼得 就起來，說：「諸位弟兄，你們知道上帝早已在你們中間揀選了我，叫外邦人從我口中得聽福音之道，而且相信。
8And God, who knoweth the hearts, gave testimony, giving unto them the Holy Ghost, as well as to us;
8知道人心的上帝也為他們作了見證，賜聖靈給他們，正如給我們一樣；
9And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
9又藉着信潔淨了他們的心，並不分他們我們。
10Now therefore, why tempt you God to put a yoke upon the necks of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear?
10現在為甚麼試探上帝，要把我們祖宗和我們所不能負的軛放在門徒的頸項上呢？
11But by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, we believe to be saved, in like manner as they also.
11我們得救乃是因主耶穌的恩，和他們一樣，這是我們所信的。」
12And all the multitude held their peace; and they heard Barnabas and Paul telling what great signs and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.
12眾人都默默無聲，聽 巴拿巴 和 保羅 述說上帝藉他們在外邦人中所行的神蹟奇事。
13And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying: Men, brethren, hear me.
13他們住了聲， 雅各 就說：「諸位弟兄，請聽我的話。
14Simon hath related how God first visited to take of the Gentiles a people to his name.
14方才 西門 述說上帝當初怎樣眷顧外邦人，從他們中間選取百姓歸於自己的名下；
15And to this agree the words of the prophets, as it is written:
15眾先知的話也與這意思相合。
16After these things I will return, and will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and the ruins thereof I will rebuild, and I will set it up:
16正如 經上 所寫的： 此後，我要回來， 重新修造 大衛 倒塌的帳幕， 把那破壞的重新修造建立起來，
17That the residue of men may seek after the Lord, and all nations upon whom my name is invoked, saith the Lord, who doth these things.
17叫餘剩的人， 就是凡稱為我名下的外邦人， 都尋求主。
18To the Lord was his own work known from the beginning of the world.
18這話是從創世以來顯明這事的主說的。
19For which cause I judge that they, who from among the Gentiles are converted to God, are not to be disquieted.
19「所以據我的意見，不可難為那歸服上帝的外邦人；
20But that we write unto them, that they refrain themselves from the pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
20只要寫信，吩咐他們禁戒偶像的污穢和姦淫，並勒死的牲畜和血。
21For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him in the synagogues, where he is read every sabbath.
21因為從古以來， 摩西 的書 在各城有人傳講，每逢安息日，在會堂裏誦讀。」
22Then it pleased the apostles and ancients, with the whole church, to choose men of their own company, and to send to Antioch, with Paul and Barnabas, namely, Judas, who was surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren.
22那時，使徒和長老並全教會定意從他們中間揀選人，差他們和 保羅 、 巴拿巴 同往 安提阿 去； 所揀選的 就是稱呼 巴撒巴 的 猶大 和 西拉 。這兩個人在弟兄中是作首領的。
23Writing by their hands: The apostles and ancients, brethren, to the brethren of the Gentiles that are at Antioch, and in Syria and Cilicia, greeting.
23於是寫信交付他們，內中說：「使徒和作長老的弟兄們問 安提阿 、 敘利亞 、 基利家 外邦眾弟兄的安。
24Forasmuch as we have heard, that some going out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls; to whom we gave no commandment:
24我們聽說，有幾個人從我們這裏出去，用言語攪擾你們，惑亂你們的心。其實我們並沒有吩咐他們。
25It hath seemed good to us, being assembled together, to choose out men, and to send them unto you, with our well beloved Barnabas and Paul:
25所以，我們同心定意，揀選幾個人，差他們同我們所親愛的 巴拿巴 和 保羅 往你們那裏去。
26Men that have given their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
26這二人是為我主耶穌基督的名不顧性命的。
27We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who themselves also will, by word of mouth, tell you the same things.
27我們就差了 猶大 和 西拉 ，他們也要親口訴說這些事。
28For it hath seemed good to the Holy Ghost and to us, to lay no further burden upon you than these necessary things:
28因為聖靈和我們定意不將別的重擔放在你們身上，惟有幾件事是不可少的，
29That you abstain from things sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication; from which things keeping yourselves, you shall do well. Fare ye well.
29就是禁戒祭偶像的物和血，並勒死的牲畜和姦淫。這幾件你們若能自己禁戒不犯就好了。願你們平安！」
30They therefore being dismissed, went down to Antioch; and gathering together the multitude, delivered the epistle.
30他們既奉了差遣，就下 安提阿 去，聚集眾人，交付書信。
31Which when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation.
31眾人念了，因為信上安慰的話就歡喜了。
32But Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, with many words comforted the brethren, and confirmed them.
32猶大 和 西拉 也是先知，就用許多話勸勉弟兄，堅固他們。
33And after they had spent some time there, they were let go with peace by the brethren, unto them that had sent them.
33住了些日子，弟兄們打發他們平平安安地回到差遣他們的人那裏去。
34But it seemed good unto Silas to remain there; and Judas alone departed to Jerusalem.

35And Paul and Barnabas continued at Antioch, teaching and preaching, with many others, the word of the Lord.
35但 保羅 和 巴拿巴 仍住在 安提阿 ，和許多別人一同教訓人，傳主的道。
36And after some days, Paul said to Barnabas: Let us return and visit our brethren in all the cities wherein we have preached the word of the Lord, to see how they do.
36過了些日子， 保羅 對 巴拿巴 說：「我們可以回到從前宣傳主道的各城，看望弟兄們景況如何。」
37And Barnabas would have taken with them John also, that was surnamed Mark;
37巴拿巴 有意要帶稱呼 馬可 的 約翰 同去；
38But Paul desired that he (as having departed from them out of Pamphylia, and not gone with them to the work) might not be received.
38但 保羅 因為 馬可 從前在 旁非利亞 離開他們，不和他們同去做工，就以為不可帶他去。
39And there arose a dissension, so that they departed one from another; and Barnabas indeed taking Mark, sailed to Cyprus.
39於是二人起了爭論，甚至彼此分開。 巴拿巴 帶着 馬可 ，坐船往 塞浦路斯 去；
40But Paul choosing Silas, departed, being delivered by the brethren to the grace of God.
40保羅 揀選了 西拉 ，也出去，蒙弟兄們把他交於主的恩中。
41And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches, commanding them to keep the precepts of the apostles and the ancients.
41他就走遍 敘利亞 、 基利家 ，堅固眾教會。
