1有話說：人若休妻， 妻離他而去，作了別人的妻， 前夫豈能再收回她來？ 若收回她來 ，那地豈不是大大玷污了嗎？ 但你和許多親愛的行邪淫， 還可以歸向我。 這是耶和華說的。
1...saying: If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man's, may he return unto her again? Will not that land be greatly polluted? But thou hast played the harlot with many lovers; and wouldest thou yet return to Me? saith the LORD.
2你向淨光的高處舉目觀看， 你在何處沒有淫行呢？ 你坐在道旁等候， 好像 阿拉伯 人在曠野 埋伏 一樣， 並且你的淫行邪惡玷污了全地。
2Lift up thine eyes unto the high hills, and see: Where hast thou not been lain with? By the ways hast thou sat for them, as an Arabian in the wilderness; and thou hast polluted the land with thy harlotries and with thy wickedness.
3因此甘霖停止， 春雨不降。 你還是有娼妓之臉， 不顧羞恥。
3Therefore the showers have been withheld, and there hath been no latter rain; yet thou hadst a harlot's forehead, thou refusedst to be ashamed.
4從今以後，你豈不向我呼叫 說 ： 我父啊，你是我幼年的恩主。
4Didst thou not just now cry unto Me: 'My father, Thou art the friend of my youth.
5耶和華豈永遠懷 怒 ，存留到底嗎？ 看哪，你又發惡言又行壞事， 隨自己的私意而行。」
5Will He bear grudge for ever? Will He keep it to the end?' Behold, thou hast spoken, but hast done evil things, and hast had thy way.
6約西亞 王在位的時候，耶和華又對我說：「背道的 以色列 所行的，你看見沒有？她上各高山，在各青翠樹下行淫。
6And the LORD said unto me in the days of Josiah the king: 'Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel did? she went up upon every high mountain and under every leafy tree, and there played the harlot.
7她行這些事以後，我說她必歸向我，她卻不歸向我。她奸詐的妹妹 猶大 也看見了。
7And I said: After she hath done all these things, she will return unto me; but she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it.
8背道的 以色列 行淫，我為這緣故給她休書休她；我看見她奸詐的妹妹 猶大 ，還不懼怕，也去行淫。
8And I saw, when, forasmuch as backsliding Israel had committed adultery, I had put her away and given her a bill of divorcement, that yet treacherous Judah her sister feared not; but she also went and played the harlot;
9因 以色列 輕忽了她的淫亂，和石頭木頭行淫，地就被玷污了。
9and it came to pass through the lightness of her harlotry, that the land was polluted, and she committed adultery with stones and with stocks;
10雖有這一切的事，她奸詐的妹妹 猶大 還不一心歸向我，不過是假意歸我。這是耶和華說的。」
10and yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah hath not returned unto Me with her whole heart, but feignedly, saith the LORD —
11耶和華對我說：「背道的 以色列 比奸詐的 猶大 還顯為義。
11even the LORD said unto me — backsliding Israel hath proved herself more righteous than treacherous Judah.
12你去向北方宣告說： 耶和華說：背道的 以色列 啊，回來吧！ 我必不怒目看你們； 因為我是慈愛的， 我必不永遠存 怒 。 這是耶和華說的。
12Go, and proclaim these words toward the north, and say: Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the LORD; I will not frown upon you; for I am merciful, saith the LORD, I will not bear grudge for ever.
13只要承認你的罪孽， 就是你違背耶和華－你的上帝， 在各青翠樹下向別 神 東奔西跑， 沒有聽從我的話。 這是耶和華說的。
13Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the LORD thy God, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every leafy tree, and ye have not hearkened to My voice, saith the LORD.
14耶和華說：背道的兒女啊，回來吧！ 因為我作你們的丈夫， 並且我必將你們從一城取一人， 從一族取兩人，帶到 錫安 。
14Return, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am a lord unto you, and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion;
15我也必將合我心的牧者賜給你們。他們必以知識和智慧牧養你們。」
15and I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
16耶和華說：「你們在國中生養眾多；當那些日子，人必不再提說耶和華的約櫃，不追想，不記念，不覺缺少，也不再製造。
16And it shall come to pass, when ye are multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the LORD, they shall say no more: The ark of the covenant of the LORD; neither shall it come to mind; neither shall they make mention of it; neither shall they miss it; neither shall it be made any more.
17那時，人必稱 耶路撒冷 為耶和華的寶座；萬國必到 耶路撒冷 ，在耶和華 立 名 的地方 聚集。他們必不再隨從自己頑梗的惡心行事。
17At that time they shall call Jerusalem The throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem; neither shall they walk any more after the stubbornness of their evil heart.
18當那些日子， 猶大 家要和 以色列 家同行，從北方之地一同來到我賜給你們列祖為業之地。」
18In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.'
19我說：我怎樣將你安置在兒女之中， 賜給你美地， 就是萬國中肥美的產業。 我又說：你們必稱我為父， 也不再轉去不跟從我。
19But I said: 'How would I put thee among the sons, and give thee a pleasant land, the goodliest heritage of the nations!' And I said: 'Thou shalt call Me, My father; and shalt not turn away from following Me.'
20以色列 家，你們向我行詭詐， 真像妻子行詭詐離開她丈夫一樣。 這是耶和華說的。
20Surely as a wife treacherously departeth from her husband, so have ye dealt treacherously with Me, O house of Israel, saith the LORD.
21在淨光的高處聽見人聲， 就是 以色列 人哭泣懇求之聲， 乃因他們走彎曲之道， 忘記耶和華－他們的上帝。
21Hark! upon the high hills is heard the suppliant weeping of the children of Israel; for that they have perverted their way, they have forgotten the LORD their God.
22你們這背道的兒女啊，回來吧！ 我要醫治你們背道的病。 看哪，我們來到你這裏， 因你是耶和華－我們的上帝。
22Return, ye backsliding children, I will heal your backslidings. — 'Here we are, we are come unto Thee; for Thou art the LORD our God.
23仰望 從小山或從大山的喧嚷中 得幫助 ， 真是枉然的。 以色列 得救，誠然在乎耶和華－我們的上帝。
23Truly vain have proved the hills, the uproar on the mountains; truly in the LORD our God is the salvation of Israel.
24從我們幼年以來，那可恥的 偶像 將我們列祖所勞碌得來的羊群、牛群，和他們的兒女都吞吃了。
24But the shameful thing hath devoured the labour of our fathers from our youth; their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters.
25我們在羞恥中躺臥吧！願慚愧將我們遮蓋；因為從立國以來，我們和我們的列祖常常得罪耶和華－我們的上帝，沒有聽從耶和華－我們上帝的話。
25Let us lie down in our shame, and let our confusion cover us; for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day; and we have not hearkened to the voice of the LORD our God.'
