1耶和華論列國的話臨到先知 耶利米 。
1The word of the LORD which came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning the nations.
2論到關乎 埃及 王法老 尼哥 的軍隊：這軍隊安營在 幼發拉底河 邊的 迦基米施 ，是 巴比倫 王 尼布甲尼撒 在 猶大 王 約西亞 的兒子 約雅敬 第四年所打敗的。
2Of Egypt: concerning the army of Pharaoh-neco king of Egypt, which was by the river Euphrates in Carchemish, which Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon smote in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah.
3你們要預備大小盾牌， 往前上陣。
3Make ready buckler and shield, and draw near to battle.
4你們套上車， 騎上馬！ 頂盔站立， 磨槍貫甲！
4Harness the horses, and mount, ye horsemen, and stand forth with your helmets; furbish the spears, put on the coats of mail.
5我為何看見他們驚惶轉身退後呢？ 他們的勇士打敗了， 急忙逃跑，並不回頭； 驚嚇四圍都有！ 這是耶和華說的。
5Wherefore do I see them dismayed and turned backward? and their mighty ones are beaten down, and they are fled apace, and look not back; terror is on every side, saith the LORD.
6不要容快跑的逃避； 不要容勇士逃脫； 他們在北方 幼發拉底河 邊絆跌仆倒。
6The swift cannot flee away, nor the mighty man escape; in the north by the river Euphrates have they stumbled and fallen.
7像 尼羅河 漲發， 像江河之水翻騰的是誰呢？
7Who is this like the Nile that riseth up, like the rivers whose waters toss themselves?
8埃及 像 尼羅河 漲發， 像江河的水翻騰。 他說：我要漲發遮蓋遍地； 我要毀滅城邑和其中的居民。
8Egypt is like the Nile that riseth up, and like the rivers whose waters toss themselves; and he saith: 'I will rise up, I will cover the earth, I will destroy the city and the inhabitants thereof.'
9馬匹上去吧！ 車輛急行吧！ 勇士，就是手拿盾牌的 古實 人和 弗 人， 並拉弓的 路德 族，都出去吧！
9Prance, ye horses, and rush madly, ye chariots; and let the mighty men go forth: Cush and Put, that handle the shield, and the Ludim, that handle and bend the bow.
10那日是主－萬軍之耶和華報仇的日子， 要向敵人報仇。 刀劍必吞吃得飽， 飲血飲足； 因為主－萬軍之耶和華 在北方 幼發拉底河 邊有獻祭的事。
10For the Lord GOD of hosts shall have on that day a day of vengeance, that He may avenge Him of His adversaries; and the sword shall devour and be satiate, and shall be made drunk with their blood; for the Lord GOD of hosts hath a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates.
11埃及 的民哪， 可以上 基列 取乳香去； 你雖多服良藥， 總是徒然，不得治好。
11Go up into Gilead, and take balm, O virgin daughter of Egypt; in vain dost thou use many medicines; there is no cure for thee.
12列國聽見你的羞辱， 遍地滿了你的哀聲； 勇士與勇士彼此相碰， 一齊跌倒。
12The nations have heard of thy shame, and the earth is full of thy cry; for the mighty man hath stumbled against the mighty, they are fallen both of them together.
13耶和華對先知 耶利米 所說的話，論到 巴比倫 王 尼布甲尼撒 要來攻擊 埃及 地：
13The word that the LORD spoke to Jeremiah the prophet, how that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon should come and smite the land of Egypt.
14你們要傳揚在 埃及 ，宣告在 密奪 ， 報告在 挪弗 、 答比匿 說： 要站起出隊，自作準備， 因為刀劍在你四圍施行吞滅的事。
14Declare ye in Egypt, and announce in Migdol, and announce in Noph and in Tahpanhes; say ye: 'Stand forth, and prepare thee, for the sword hath devoured round about thee.'
15你的壯士為何被沖去呢？ 他們站立不住； 因為耶和華驅逐他們，
15Why is thy strong one overthrown? He stood not, because the LORD did thrust him down.
16使多人絆跌； 他們也彼此撞倒，說： 起來吧！我們再往本民本地去， 好躲避欺壓的刀劍。
16He made many to stumble; yea, they fell one upon another, and said: 'Arise, and let us return to our own people, and to the land of our birth, from the oppressing sword.'
17他們在那裏喊叫說： 埃及 王法老不過是個聲音； 他已錯過所定的時候了。
17They cried there: 'Pharaoh king of Egypt is but a noise; he hath let the appointed time pass by.'
18君王－名為萬軍之耶和華的說： 我指着我的永生起誓： 尼布甲尼撒 來的勢派 必像 他泊 在眾山之中， 像 迦密 在海邊一樣。
18As I live, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts, surely like Tabor among the mountains, and like Carmel by the sea, so shall he come.
19住在 埃及 的民哪， 要預備擄去時所用的物件； 因為 挪弗 必成為荒場， 且被燒毀，無人居住。
19O thou daughter that dwellest in Egypt, furnish thyself to go into captivity; for Noph shall become a desolation, and shall be laid waste, without inhabitant.
20埃及 是肥美的母牛犢； 但出於北方的毀滅來到了！來到了！
20Egypt is a very fair heifer; but the gadfly out of the north is come, it is come.
21其中的雇勇好像圈裏的肥牛犢， 他們轉身退後， 一齊逃跑，站立不住； 因為他們遭難的日子、 追討的時候已經臨到。
21Also her mercenaries in the midst of her are like calves of the stall, for they also are turned back, they are fled away together, they did not stand; for the day of their calamity is come upon them, the time of their visitation.
22其中的聲音好像蛇行一樣。 敵人要成隊而來，如砍伐樹木的手拿斧子攻擊他。
22The sound thereof shall go like the serpent's; for they march with an army, and come against her with axes, as hewers of wood.
23耶和華說： 埃及 的樹林雖然不能尋察， 敵人卻要砍伐， 因他們多於蝗蟲，不可勝數。
23They cut down her forest, saith the LORD, though it cannot be searched; because they are more than the locusts, and are innumerable.
24埃及 的民必然蒙羞， 必交在北方人的手中。
24The daughter of Egypt is put to shame; she is delivered into the hand of the people of the north.
25萬軍之耶和華－ 以色列 的上帝說：「我必刑罰 挪 的 亞捫 和法老，並 埃及 與 埃及 的神，以及君王，也必刑罰法老和倚靠他的人。
25The LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saith: Behold, I will punish Amon of No, and Pharaoh, and Egypt, with her gods, and her kings; even Pharaoh, and them that trust in him;
26我要將他們交付尋索其命之人的手和 巴比倫 王 尼布甲尼撒 與他臣僕的手；以後 埃及 必再有人居住，與從前一樣。這是耶和華說的。」
26and I will deliver them into the hand of those that seek their lives, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of his servants; and afterwards it shall be inhabited, as in the days of old, saith the LORD.
27我的僕人 雅各 啊，不要懼怕！ 以色列 啊，不要驚惶！ 因我要從遠方拯救你， 從被擄到之地拯救你的後裔。 雅各 必回來，得享平靖安逸， 無人使他害怕。
27But fear not thou, O Jacob My servant, neither be dismayed, O Israel; for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall again be quiet and at ease, and none shall make him afraid.
28我的僕人 雅各 啊，不要懼怕！ 因我與你同在。 我要將我所趕你到的那些國滅絕淨盡， 卻不將你滅絕淨盡， 倒要從寬懲治你， 萬不能不罰你。 這是耶和華說的。
28Fear not thou, O Jacob My servant, saith the LORD, for I am with thee; for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee, but I will not make a full end of thee; and I will correct thee in measure, but will not utterly destroy thee.
