1耶和華啊，我與你爭辯的時候， 你顯為義； 但有一件，我還要與你理論： 惡人的道路為何亨通呢？ 大行詭詐的為何得安逸呢？
1Right wouldest Thou be, O LORD, were I to contend with Thee, yet will I reason with Thee: Wherefore doth the way of the wicked prosper? Wherefore are all they secure that deal very treacherously?
2你栽培了他們， 他們也扎了根， 長大，而且結果。 他們的口是與你相近， 心卻與你遠離。
2Thou hast planted them, yea, they have taken root; they grow, yea, they bring forth fruit; Thou art near in their mouth, and far from their reins.
3耶和華啊，你曉得我，看見我， 察驗我向你是怎樣的心。 求你將他們拉出來， 好像將宰的羊， 叫他們等候殺戮的日子。
3But Thou, O LORD, knowest me, Thou seest me, and triest my heart toward Thee; pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter.
4這地悲哀， 通國的青草枯乾，要到幾時呢？ 因其上居民的惡行， 牲畜和飛鳥都滅絕了。 他們曾說：他看不見我們的結局。
4How long shall the land mourn, and the herbs of the whole field wither? For the wickedness of them that dwell therein, the beasts are consumed, and the birds; because they said: 'He seeth not our end.'
5耶和華說 ：你若與步行的人同跑， 尚且覺累， 怎能與馬賽跑呢？ 你在平安之地，雖然安穩， 在 約旦河 邊的叢林要怎樣行呢？
5'If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? And though in a land of peace thou art secure, yet how wilt thou do in the thickets of the Jordan?
6因為連你弟兄和你父家都用奸詐待你。 他們也在你後邊大聲喊叫， 雖向你說好話， 你也不要信他們。
6For even thy brethren, and the house of thy father, even they have dealt treacherously with thee, even they have cried aloud after thee; believe them not, though they speak fair words unto thee.'
7我離了我的殿宇， 撇棄我的產業， 將我心裏所親愛的交在她仇敵的手中。
7I have forsaken My house, I have cast off My heritage; I have given the dearly beloved of My soul into the hand of her enemies.
8我的產業向我如林中的獅子， 她發聲攻擊我， 因此我恨惡她。
8My heritage is become unto Me as a lion in the forest; she hath uttered her voice against Me; therefore have I hated her.
9我的產業向我豈如斑點的鷙鳥呢？ 鷙鳥豈在她四圍攻擊她呢？ 你們要去聚集田野的百獸， 帶來吞吃吧！
9Is My heritage unto Me as a speckled bird of prey? Are the birds of prey against her round about? Come ye, assemble all the beasts of the field, bring them to devour.
10許多牧人毀壞我的葡萄園， 踐踏我的分， 使我美好的分變為荒涼的曠野。
10Many shepherds have destroyed My vineyard, they have trodden My portion under foot, they have made My pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.
11他們使地荒涼； 地既荒涼，便向我悲哀。 全地荒涼，因無人介意。
11They have made it a desolation, it mourneth unto Me, being desolate; the whole land is made desolate, because no man layeth it to heart.
12滅命的都來到曠野中一切淨光的高處； 耶和華的刀從地這邊直到地那邊盡行殺滅。 凡有血氣的都不得平安。
12Upon all the high hills in the wilderness spoilers are come; for the sword of the LORD devoureth from the one end of the land even to the other end of the land, no flesh hath peace.
13他們種的是麥子， 收的是荊棘； 勞勞苦苦卻毫無益處。 因耶和華的烈怒， 你們必為自己的土產羞愧。
13They have sown wheat, and have reaped thorns; they have put themselves to pain, they profit not; be ye then ashamed of your increase, because of the fierce anger of the LORD.
14耶和華如此說：「一切惡鄰，就是佔據我使百姓 以色列 所承受產業的，我要將他們拔出本地，又要將 猶大 家從他們中間拔出來。
14Thus saith the LORD: As for all Mine evil neighbours, that touch the inheritance which I have caused My people Israel to inherit, behold, I will pluck them up from off their land, and will pluck up the house of Judah from among them.
15我拔出他們以後，我必轉過來憐憫他們，把他們再帶回來，各歸本業，各歸故土。
15And it shall come to pass, after that I have plucked them up, I will again have compassion on them; and I will bring them back, every man to his heritage, and every man to his land.
16他們若殷勤學習我百姓的道，指着我的名起誓 說 ：『我指着永生的耶和華起誓』，正如他們從前教我百姓指着 巴力 起誓，他們就必建立在我百姓中間。
16And it shall come to pass, if they will diligently learn the ways of My people to swear by My name: 'As the LORD liveth,' even as they taught My people to swear by Baal; then shall they be built up in the midst of My people.
17他們若是不聽，我必拔出那國，拔出而且毀滅。這是耶和華說的。」
17But if they will not hearken, then will I pluck up that nation, plucking up and destroying it, saith the LORD.
