1此後， 大衛 攻打 非利士 人，把他們治服，從他們手下奪取了京城的權柄；
1And after this it came to pass, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them; and David took Metheg-ammah out of the hand of the Philistines.
2又攻打 摩押 人，使他們躺臥在地上，用繩量一量：量二繩的殺了，量一繩的存留。 摩押 人就歸服 大衛 ，給他進貢。
2And he smote Moab, and measured them with the line, making them to lie down on the ground; and he measured two lines to put to death, and one full line to keep alive. And the Moabites became servants to David, and brought presents.
3瑣巴 王 利合 的兒子 哈大底謝 往大河去，要奪回他的國權。 大衛 就攻打他，
3David smote also Hadadezer the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to establish his dominion at the river Euphrates.
4擒拿了他的馬兵一千七百，步兵二萬，將拉戰車的馬砍斷蹄筋，但留下一百輛車的馬。
4And David took from him a thousand and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen; and David houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for a hundred chariots.
5大馬士革 的 亞蘭 人來幫助 瑣巴 王 哈大底謝 ， 大衛 就殺了 亞蘭 人二萬二千。
5And when the Arameans of Damascus came to succour Hadadezer king of Zobah, David smote of the Arameans two and twenty thousand men.
6於是 大衛 在 大馬士革 的 亞蘭 地設立防營， 亞蘭 人就歸服他，給他進貢。 大衛 無論往哪裏去，耶和華都使他得勝。
6Then David put garrisons in Aram of Damascus; and the Arameans became servants to David, and brought presents. And the LORD gave victory to David whithersoever he went.
7他奪了 哈大底謝 臣僕所拿的金盾牌，帶到 耶路撒冷 。
7And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.
8大衛 王又從屬 哈大底謝 的 比他 和 比羅他 城中奪取了許多的銅。
8And from Betah and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, king David took exceeding much brass.
9哈馬 王 陀以 聽見 大衛 殺敗 哈大底謝 的全軍，
9And when Toi king of Hamath heard that David had smitten all the host of Hadadezer,
10就打發他兒子 約蘭 去見 大衛 王，問他的安，為他祝福，因為他殺敗了 哈大底謝 （原來 陀以 與 哈大底謝 常常爭戰）。 約蘭 帶了金銀銅的器皿來，
10then Toi sent Joram his son unto king David, to salute him, and to bless him — because he had fought against Hadadezer and smitten him; for Hadadezer had wars with Toi — and he brought with him vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of brass.
11大衛 王將這些器皿和他治服各國所得來的金銀都分別為聖，獻給耶和華，
11These also did king David dedicate unto the LORD, with the silver and gold that he dedicated of all the nations which he subdued:
12就是從 亞蘭 、 摩押 、 亞捫 、 非利士 、 亞瑪力 人所得來的，以及從 瑣巴 王 利合 的兒子 哈大底謝 所掠之物。
12of Aram, and of Moab, and of the children of Ammon, and of the Philistines, and of Amalek, and of the spoil of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah.
13大衛 在 鹽谷 擊殺了 亞蘭 一萬八千人回來，就得了大名；
13And David got him a name when he returned from smiting the Arameans in the Valley of Salt, even eighteen thousand men.
14又在 以東 全地設立防營， 以東 人就都歸服 大衛 。 大衛 無論往哪裏去，耶和華都使他得勝。
14And he put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom put he garrisons, and all the Edomites became servants to David. And the LORD gave victory to David whithersoever he went.
15大衛 作 以色列 眾人的王，又向眾民秉公行義。
15And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed justice and righteousness unto all his people.
16洗魯雅 的兒子 約押 作元帥； 亞希律 的兒子 約沙法 作史官；
16And Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder;
17亞希突 的兒子 撒督 和 亞比亞他 的兒子 亞希米勒 作祭司 長 ； 西萊雅 作書記；
17and Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, were priests; and Seraiah was scribe;
18耶何耶大 的兒子 比拿雅 統轄 基利提 人和 比利提 人。 大衛 的眾子都作領袖。
18and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David's sons were chief ministers.
