1Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
1เพราะฉะนั้น จงยืนหยัดในเสรีภาพที่พระคริสต์ทำให้เราเป็นเสรี และอย่ากลับไปติดอยู่ใต้แอกของการเป็นทาสอีก
2Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
2ขอให้รู้ไว้ว่า ข้าพเจ้า เปาโล ขอบอกพวกคุณว่า ถ้าพวกคุณรับการเข้าสุหนัต พระคริสต์ก็จะไม่เป็นประโยชน์อะไรแก่พวกคุณเลย
3For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
3ข้าพเจ้าขอยืนยันอีกครั้งกับชายทุกคนที่รับการเข้าสุหนัตว่า เขาก็เป็นหนี้ที่จะต้องทำตามธรรมบัญญัติทั้งหมด
4Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
4พวกคุณที่อยากได้รับความชอบธรรมโดยธรรมบัญญัติ ได้แยกขาดจากพระคริสต์แล้ว พวกคุณหลุดออกจากพระคุณแล้ว
5For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
5เพราะเราอาศัยพระวิญญาณ และด้วยความเชื่อ เฝ้ารอสิ่งที่เราหวังไว้เกี่ยวกับความชอบธรรม
6For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
6ในพระคริสต์เยซู การเข้าสุหนัตหรือไม่เข้าสุหนัตไม่ได้มีความหมายอะไร แต่ความเชื่อที่ทำงานผ่านความรักต่างหากที่มีความหมาย
7Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?
7พวกคุณเคยวิ่งได้ดี! ใครมาขวางพวกคุณ จนพวกคุณไม่เชื่อฟังความจริง?
8This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.
8การชักจูงแบบนี้ไม่ได้มาจากพระองค์ ผู้เรียกพวกคุณ
9A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
9ยีสต์เพียงเล็กน้อยก็ทำให้แป้งทั้งก้อนขึ้นฟู
10I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.
10ข้าพเจ้ามั่นใจในองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าว่า พวกคุณจะไม่หันไปคิดเป็นอย่างอื่น แต่คนที่ทำให้พวกคุณวุ่นวายจะต้องรับการพิพากษา ไม่ว่าเขาจะเป็นใคร
11And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.
11พี่น้องทั้งหลาย ถ้าข้าพเจ้ายังประกาศเรื่องการเข้าสุหนัตอยู่ ทำไมข้าพเจ้ายังถูกข่มเหงอยู่? ถ้าเป็นอย่างนั้น กางเขนก็ไม่เป็นสิ่งที่ทำให้คนสะดุดอีกต่อไป
12I would they were even cut off which trouble you.
12ข้าพเจ้าอยากให้คนที่ก่อกวนพวกคุณตัดตัวเองให้ขาดไปเสียเลย!
13For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
13พี่น้องทั้งหลาย พวกคุณถูกเรียกให้มีเสรีภาพ เพียงแต่อย่าใช้เสรีภาพเปิดช่องให้เนื้อหนัง แต่จงรับใช้กันและกันด้วยความรัก
14For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
14ธรรมบัญญัติทั้งหมดสำเร็จครบถ้วนได้ด้วยถ้อยคำเดียวนี้: “จงรักเพื่อนบ้านของเจ้าเหมือนรักตนเอง”
15But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
15ถ้าพวกคุณกัดและกัดกินกันเอง ก็ระวังให้ดี ไม่อย่างนั้นพวกคุณอาจทำลายกันจนหมด
16This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
16ข้าพเจ้าขอบอกว่า จงดำเนินชีวิตตามพระวิญญาณ แล้วพวกคุณจะไม่ทำตามความปรารถนาของเนื้อหนัง
17For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
17เนื้อหนังปรารถนาสิ่งที่ขัดกับพระวิญญาณ และพระวิญญาณก็ขัดกับเนื้อหนัง ทั้งสองขัดแย้งกัน จนพวกคุณทำสิ่งที่พวกคุณอยากทำไม่ได้
18But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
18ถ้าพวกคุณถูกพระวิญญาณนำ พวกคุณก็ไม่อยู่ใต้ธรรมบัญญัติ
19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these ; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
19การกระทำของเนื้อหนังเห็นได้ชัด ได้แก่ การเป็นชู้ การผิดศีลธรรมทางเพศ ความไม่บริสุทธิ์ ความลามก
20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
20การบูชารูปเคารพ การใช้เวทมนตร์คาถา ความเกลียดชัง การทะเลาะวิวาท ความหึงหวง การระเบิดอารมณ์โกรธ การชิงดีชิงเด่น ความแตกแยก การตั้งพรรคตั้งพวก
21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
21ความอิจฉา การฆ่าคน การเมามาย การเลี้ยงฉลองอย่างเสเพล และสิ่งอื่น ๆ ทำนองนี้ ข้าพเจ้าเตือนพวกคุณไว้ล่วงหน้า อย่างที่เคยเตือนแล้วว่า คนที่ทำสิ่งเหล่านี้เป็นประจำ จะไม่ได้รับอาณาจักรของพระเจ้าเป็นมรดก
22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
22ส่วนผลของพระวิญญาณคือ ความรัก ความยินดี สันติสุข ความอดทน ความกรุณา ความดี ความเชื่อ,
23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
23ความอ่อนโยน และการรู้จักควบคุมตนเอง สิ่งเหล่านี้ไม่มีธรรมบัญญัติใดห้าม
24And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
24คนที่เป็นของพระคริสต์ได้ตรึงเนื้อหนังไว้บนกางเขนพร้อมกับความหลงใหลและความปรารถนาต่าง ๆ ของเนื้อหนัง
25If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
25ถ้าเรามีชีวิตโดยพระวิญญาณ ก็ให้เราดำเนินชีวิตตามพระวิญญาณด้วย
26Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
26เราอย่าทะนงตน อย่าคอยท้าทายกัน และอย่าอิจฉากัน
