1The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
1นี่คือการเปิดเผยของพระเยซูคริสต์ซึ่งพระเจ้าให้แก่พระองค์เพื่อแสดงแก่ผู้รับใช้ของพระองค์ถึงสิ่งต่าง ๆ ที่จะต้องเกิดขึ้นในเร็ว ๆ นี้ พระองค์ส่งทูตของพระองค์มาแจ้งสิ่งเหล่านี้แก่ยอห์น ผู้รับใช้ของพระองค์
2Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
2ยอห์นเป็นพยานถึงพระคำของพระเจ้าและคำพยานของพระเยซูคริสต์ ตามทุกสิ่งที่เขาได้เห็น
3Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
3ผู้ที่อ่านถ้อยคำของคำพยากรณ์นี้ย่อมเป็นสุข และบรรดาผู้ที่ได้ยินและยึดถือสิ่งที่เขียนไว้ในนั้นก็เป็นสุข เพราะเวลานั้นใกล้แล้ว
4John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
4ยอห์น ถึงประชาคมทั้งเจ็ดที่อยู่ในเอเชีย ขอพระคุณและสันติสุขมีแก่พวกคุณจากพระเจ้า ผู้ที่เป็นอยู่ ผู้ที่เคยเป็น และผู้ที่จะมา และจากวิญญาณทั้งเจ็ดที่อยู่ต่อหน้าบัลลังก์ของพระองค์
5And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
5และจากพระเยซูคริสต์ พยานผู้ซื่อสัตย์ ผู้เป็นบุตรหัวปีจากบรรดาคนตาย และผู้ปกครองเหนือบรรดากษัตริย์แห่งแผ่นดินโลก แด่พระองค์ผู้รักเราและชำระล้างเราจากบาปของเราด้วยเลือดของพระองค์—
6And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
6และทำให้เราเป็นอาณาจักร เป็นปุโรหิตแด่พระเจ้าและพระบิดาของพระองค์ ขอพระสิริและอำนาจปกครองจงเป็นของพระองค์ตลอดไปเป็นนิตย์ อาเมน
7Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
7ดูสิพระองค์กำลังมากับเมฆ และทุกดวงตาจะเห็นพระองค์ รวมทั้งคนที่แทงพระองค์ ทุกเผ่าบนแผ่นดินโลกจะคร่ำครวญเพราะพระองค์ ใช่แล้ว อาเมน
8I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
8“เราคืออัลฟาและโอเมกา ” องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าผู้เป็นพระเจ้ากล่าวว่า “ผู้ที่เป็นอยู่ ผู้ที่เคยเป็น และผู้ที่จะมา ผู้มีอำนาจทั้งสิ้น”
9I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
9ผมคือยอห์น พี่น้องของพวกคุณ และเป็นผู้ร่วมส่วนกับพวกคุณในความทุกข์ยาก อาณาจักร และความอดทนในพระคริสต์เยซู ผมอยู่บนเกาะที่เรียกว่าปัทมอส เพราะพระคำของพระเจ้าและคำพยานของพระเยซูคริสต์
10I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
10ในวันขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ผมอยู่ในพระวิญญาณ และได้ยินเสียงดังจากด้านหลังเหมือนเสียงแตร
11Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.
11เสียงนั้นกล่าวว่า “สิ่งที่คุณเห็น จงเขียนลงในหนังสือแล้วส่งไปยังประชาคมทั้งเจ็ด ได้แก่ เอเฟซัส สเมอร์นา เปอร์กามัม ธิยาทิรา ซาร์ดิส ฟิลาเดลเฟีย และเลาดีเซีย”
12And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;
12ผมหันไปทางเสียงที่พูดกับผม เมื่อหันไป ผมเห็นเชิงตะเกียงทองคำเจ็ดอัน
13And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
13และท่ามกลางเชิงตะเกียงเหล่านั้น มีผู้หนึ่งคล้ายบุตรมนุษย์สวมเสื้อคลุมยาวถึงเท้า และมีสายคาดทองคำคาดรอบอก
14His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
14ศีรษะและผมของพระองค์ขาวเหมือนขนแกะสีขาว ราวกับหิมะ ดวงตาของพระองค์เหมือนเปลวไฟ
15And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
15เท้าของพระองค์เหมือนทองเหลืองขัดเงา ราวกับผ่านการถลุงในเตาไฟ เสียงของพระองค์เหมือนเสียงของน้ำมากมาย
16And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
16พระองค์มีดาวเจ็ดดวงอยู่ในมือขวา ดาบคมสองด้านออกมาจากปากของพระองค์ ใบหน้าของพระองค์เหมือนดวงอาทิตย์ที่ส่องแสงเต็มกำลัง
17And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
17เมื่อผมเห็นพระองค์ ผมล้มลงแทบเท้าของพระองค์เหมือนคนตาย พระองค์วางมือขวาบนตัวผม แล้วกล่าวว่า “อย่ากลัว เราคือผู้แรกและผู้สุดท้าย
18I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
18และเป็นผู้มีชีวิต เราเคยตาย แต่ดูสิ เรามีชีวิตอยู่ตลอดไปเป็นนิตย์ อาเมน เรามีกุญแจของความตายและแดนคนตาย
19Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;
19ดังนั้น จงเขียนสิ่งที่คุณได้เห็น สิ่งที่เป็นอยู่ และสิ่งที่จะเกิดขึ้นหลังจากนี้
20The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.
20ความลึกลับของดาวเจ็ดดวงที่คุณเห็นในมือขวาของเรา และของเชิงตะเกียงทองคำทั้งเจ็ดมีดังนี้ ดาวเจ็ดดวงคือทูต ของประชาคมทั้งเจ็ด และเชิงตะเกียงเจ็ดอันคือประชาคมทั้งเจ็ด
