1The words of Amos, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.
1ถ้อยคำของอาโมส คนเลี้ยงสัตว์คนหนึ่งที่เทโคอา เขาเห็นนิมิตเกี่ยวกับอิสราเอลในสมัยอุสซียาห์ กษัตริย์แห่งยูดาห์ และในสมัยเยโรโบอัม บุตรของโยอาช กษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอล สองปีก่อนเกิดแผ่นดินไหว
2And he said, The LORD will roar from Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the habitations of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall wither.
2เขากล่าวว่า “พระยาห์เวห์ จะคำรามจากศิโยน เปล่งเสียงจากเยรูซาเล็ม ทุ่งหญ้าของคนเลี้ยงแกะจะคร่ำครวญ ยอดเขาคารเมลจะเหี่ยวเฉา”
3Thus saith the LORD ; For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron:
3พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวว่า “เพราะความผิดสามครั้งของดามัสกัส ถึงสี่ครั้ง เราจะไม่ถอนการลงโทษ เพราะพวกเขานวดกิเลอาดด้วยเครื่องนวดข้าวเหล็ก
4But I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, which shall devour the palaces of Ben-hadad.
4เราจะส่งไฟเข้าไปในราชวงศ์ฮาซาเอล เผาผลาญพระราชวังของเบนฮาดัด
5I will break also the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from the plain of Aven, and him that holdeth the sceptre from the house of Eden: and the people of Syria shall go into captivity unto Kir, saith the LORD .
5เราจะหักกลอนประตูดามัสกัส กำจัดผู้อาศัยในหุบเขาอาเวน และผู้ถือคทาจากบ้านเอเดน ชาวซีเรียจะถูกกวาดต้อนไปเป็นเชลยที่คีร์” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว
6¶ Thus saith the LORD ; For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they carried away captive the whole captivity, to deliver them up to Edom:
6พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวว่า “เพราะความผิดสามครั้งของกาซา ถึงสี่ครั้ง เราจะไม่ถอนการลงโทษ เพราะพวกเขากวาดต้อนผู้คนทั้งชุมชนไปเป็นเชลย เพื่อส่งมอบให้เอโดม
7But I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, which shall devour the palaces thereof:
7เราจะส่งไฟไปยังกำแพงกาซา เผาผลาญพระราชวังของเมืองนั้น
8And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holdeth the sceptre from Ashkelon, and I will turn mine hand against Ekron: and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, saith the Lord GOD .
8เราจะกำจัดผู้อาศัยในอัชโดด และผู้ถือคทาจากอัชเคโลน เราจะลงมือปราบเอโครน ชาวฟีลิสเตียที่เหลืออยู่จะพินาศ” พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว
9¶ Thus saith the LORD ; For three transgressions of Tyrus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant:
9พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวว่า “เพราะความผิดสามครั้งของไทระ ถึงสี่ครั้ง เราจะไม่ถอนการลงโทษ เพราะพวกเขาส่งมอบผู้คนทั้งชุมชนให้เอโดม ไม่ระลึกถึงพันธสัญญาระหว่างพี่น้อง
10But I will send a fire on the wall of Tyrus, which shall devour the palaces thereof.
10เราจะส่งไฟไปยังกำแพงไทระ เผาผลาญพระราชวังของเมืองนั้น”
11¶ Thus saith the LORD ; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever:
11พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวว่า “เพราะความผิดสามครั้งของเอโดม ถึงสี่ครั้ง เราจะไม่ถอนการลงโทษ เพราะเขาไล่ล่าพี่น้องของตนด้วยดาบ สลัดความสงสารทิ้งจนหมด ความโกรธของเขาลุกโชนไม่หยุด และเก็บความแค้นไว้ตลอดไป
12But I will send a fire upon Teman, which shall devour the palaces of Bozrah.
12เราจะส่งไฟไปยังเทมาน เผาผลาญพระราชวังของโบสราห์”
13¶ Thus saith the LORD ; For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border:
13พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวว่า “เพราะความผิดสามครั้งของชาวอัมโมน ถึงสี่ครั้ง เราจะไม่ถอนการลงโทษ เพราะพวกเขาผ่าท้องหญิงมีครรภ์ในกิเลอาด เพื่อขยายอาณาเขตของตน
14But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind:
14เราจะจุดไฟที่กำแพงรับบาห์ เผาผลาญพระราชวังของเมืองนั้น ท่ามกลางเสียงโห่ร้องในวันรบ ท่ามกลางพายุในวันลมหมุน
15And their king shall go into captivity, he and his princes together, saith the LORD .
15กษัตริย์ของพวกเขาจะไปเป็นเชลย พร้อมกับบรรดาเจ้าผู้ปกครอง” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว
