1Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,
1ข้าพเจ้าเปาโล ผู้ได้รับการเรียกให้เป็นอัครทูตของพระเยซูคริสต์ ตามความประสงค์ของพระเจ้า และโสสเธเนสพี่น้องของเรา
2Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:
2เรียน ประชาคมของพระเจ้าที่เมืองโครินธ์ คือพวกคุณผู้ได้รับการชำระให้บริสุทธิ์ในพระเยซูคริสต์ และได้รับการเรียกให้เป็นผู้บริสุทธิ์ พร้อมกับทุกคนในทุกแห่งที่ร้องเรียกพระนามของพระเยซูคริสต์ องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของเรา ผู้ทรงเป็นองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทั้งของพวกเขาและของเรา
3Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

4I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;

5That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;

6Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:

7So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

8Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
8พระองค์จะทรงทำให้พวกคุณมั่นคงจนถึงที่สุด เพื่อพวกคุณจะไม่มีข้อตำหนิในวันของพระเยซูคริสต์ องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของเรา
9God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
9พระเจ้าทรงซื่อสัตย์ พระองค์ทรงเรียกพวกคุณให้เข้ามามีส่วนร่วมกับพระบุตรของพระองค์ คือพระเยซูคริสต์ องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของเรา
10Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
10พี่น้องทั้งหลาย ข้าพเจ้าขอร้องพวกคุณในพระนามของพระเยซูคริสต์ องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของเรา ให้พวกคุณทุกคนพูดเป็นเสียงเดียวกัน อย่าให้มีความแตกแยกในหมู่พวกคุณ แต่ให้เป็นอันหนึ่งอันเดียวกันอย่างสมบูรณ์ มีความคิดและความเห็นตรงกัน
11For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.
11พี่น้องของข้าพเจ้า คนในครอบครัวของโคลเอได้เล่าให้ข้าพเจ้าฟังว่า พวกคุณมีการโต้เถียงกัน
12Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.
12ข้าพเจ้าหมายความว่า พวกคุณแต่ละคนพูดว่า “ข้าพเจ้าตามเปาโล” “ข้าพเจ้าตามอปอลโล” “ข้าพเจ้าตามเคฟาส” และ “ข้าพเจ้าตามพระคริสต์”
13Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?
13พระคริสต์ถูกแบ่งออกเป็นส่วน ๆ แล้วหรือ? เปาโลถูกตรึงกางเขนเพื่อพวกคุณหรือ? หรือพวกคุณรับบัพติศมาในนามของเปาโล?
14I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;
14ข้าพเจ้าขอบคุณพระเจ้าที่ข้าพเจ้าไม่ได้ให้ใครในพวกคุณรับบัพติศมา นอกจากคริสปัสและกายอัส
15Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.

16And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.

17For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
17เพราะพระคริสต์ไม่ได้ส่งข้าพเจ้ามาเพื่อให้คนรับบัพติศมา แต่เพื่อประกาศข่าวดี และไม่ใช่ประกาศด้วยถ้อยคำที่แสดงปัญญา เพื่อไม้กางเขนของพระคริสต์จะไม่ถูกทำให้ไร้ผล
18For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
18เพราะถ้อยคำเรื่องไม้กางเขนเป็นเรื่องโง่เขลาสำหรับคนที่กำลังพินาศ แต่สำหรับพวกเราที่กำลังได้รับความรอด เรื่องนี้คือพลังของพระเจ้า
19For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
19เพราะมีคำเขียนไว้ว่า “เราจะทำลายปัญญาของคนมีปัญญา และจะทำให้ความเข้าใจของคนที่รู้จักวินิจฉัยสูญไป”
20Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
20คนมีปัญญาอยู่ที่ไหน? อาลักษณ์อยู่ที่ไหน? นักโต้แย้งแห่งยุคนี้อยู่ที่ไหน? พระเจ้าไม่ได้ทรงทำให้ปัญญาของโลกนี้กลายเป็นเรื่องโง่เขลาหรือ?
21For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
21เพราะในปัญญาของพระเจ้า โลกไม่ได้รู้จักพระเจ้าด้วยปัญญาของตน พระเจ้าจึงทรงพอใจที่จะช่วยคนที่เชื่อให้รอดโดยสิ่งที่ดูโง่เขลาในการประกาศ
22For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
22ชาวยิวขอหมายสำคัญ ส่วนชาวกรีกแสวงหาปัญญา
23But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
23แต่เราประกาศเรื่องพระคริสต์ผู้ถูกตรึงกางเขน ซึ่งเป็นเหตุให้ชาวยิวสะดุด และเป็นเรื่องโง่เขลาสำหรับชาวกรีก
24But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
24แต่สำหรับผู้ที่ได้รับการเรียก ไม่ว่าชาวยิวหรือชาวกรีก พระคริสต์คือพลังของพระเจ้าและปัญญาของพระเจ้า
25Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
25เพราะความโง่เขลาของพระเจ้ายังมีปัญญายิ่งกว่ามนุษย์ และความอ่อนแอของพระเจ้ายังเข้มแข็งยิ่งกว่ามนุษย์
26For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called :
26พี่น้องทั้งหลาย ลองดูสภาพของพวกคุณเมื่อได้รับการเรียก มีพวกคุณไม่มากนักที่มีปัญญาตามวิถีมนุษย์ ไม่มากนักที่มีอำนาจ และไม่มากนักที่เกิดในตระกูลสูง
27But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
27แต่พระเจ้าทรงเลือกสิ่งที่โลกเห็นว่าโง่เขลา เพื่อทำให้คนมีปัญญาอับอาย และทรงเลือกสิ่งที่โลกเห็นว่าอ่อนแอ เพื่อทำให้สิ่งที่แข็งแรงอับอาย
28And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea , and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
28พระเจ้าทรงเลือกสิ่งที่ต่ำต้อยของโลก สิ่งที่ถูกดูหมิ่น และสิ่งที่ไม่มีอยู่ เพื่อทำให้สิ่งที่มีอยู่หมดความสำคัญ
29That no flesh should glory in his presence.
29เพื่อจะไม่มีมนุษย์คนใดอวดตัวต่อหน้าพระเจ้า
30But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
30เพราะพระเจ้า พวกคุณจึงอยู่ในพระเยซูคริสต์ ผู้ทรงเป็นปัญญาจากพระเจ้าสำหรับเรา ทั้งเป็นความชอบธรรม การชำระให้บริสุทธิ์ และการไถ่
31That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
31เพื่อให้เป็นไปตามที่เขียนไว้ว่า “คนที่อวด ก็จงอวดในองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า”
