1God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
1ในอดีต พระเจ้าได้กล่าวกับบรรพบุรุษผ่านบรรดาผู้เผยพระวจนะ หลายครั้งและหลายวิธี
2Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
2แต่ในช่วงสุดท้ายของวันเวลาเหล่านี้ พระองค์ได้กล่าวกับเราโดยพระบุตร พระองค์ทรงแต่งตั้งพระบุตรให้เป็นผู้รับมรดกของทุกสิ่ง และทรงสร้างโลกทั้งหลายโดยพระบุตร
3Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
3พระบุตรเป็นรัศมีแห่งพระสิริของพระเจ้า และเป็นภาพแท้ของสภาวะของพระองค์ พระบุตรทรงค้ำจุนทุกสิ่งด้วยถ้อยคำอันทรงพลังของพระองค์ เมื่อพระองค์ทรงชำระเราให้พ้นจากบาปด้วยพระองค์เองแล้ว ก็นั่งลงทางขวาขององค์ผู้ทรงยิ่งใหญ่ในเบื้องบน
4Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
4พระบุตรจึงประเสริฐกว่าเหล่าทูตสวรรค์มากเท่ากับนามที่พระองค์ได้รับเป็นมรดก ซึ่งประเสริฐกว่านามของพวกเขา
5For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
5เพราะพระเจ้าเคยกล่าวกับทูตสวรรค์องค์ไหนหรือว่า “เจ้าเป็นบุตรของเรา วันนี้เราได้เป็นบิดาของเจ้า” และยังกล่าวอีกว่า “เราจะเป็นบิดาของเขา และเขาจะเป็นบุตรของเรา”
6And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
6และเมื่อพระองค์นำบุตรหัวปีเข้ามาในโลกอีกครั้ง พระองค์กล่าวว่า “ให้ทูตสวรรค์ทั้งปวงของพระเจ้านมัสการเขา”
7And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
7ส่วนเรื่องทูตสวรรค์ พระองค์กล่าวว่า “พระองค์ทรงทำให้ทูตสวรรค์ของพระองค์เป็นสายลม และผู้รับใช้ของพระองค์เป็นเปลวไฟ”
8But unto the Son he saith , Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
8แต่เมื่อกล่าวถึงพระบุตร พระองค์กล่าวว่า “พระเจ้า บัลลังก์ของพระองค์ดำรงอยู่ตลอดกาล คทาแห่งความเที่ยงธรรมเป็นคทาแห่งอาณาจักรของพระองค์
9Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
9พระองค์ทรงรักความชอบธรรม และเกลียดความชั่วช้า เพราะเหตุนี้ พระเจ้า คือพระเจ้าของพระองค์ จึงทรงเจิมพระองค์ด้วยน้ำมันแห่งความยินดี เหนือบรรดาผู้ร่วมกับพระองค์”
10And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:
10และยังกล่าวว่า “องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ในปฐมกาล พระองค์ทรงวางรากฐานของแผ่นดินโลก และฟ้าสวรรค์เป็นผลงานจากมือของพระองค์
11They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
11สิ่งเหล่านั้นจะพินาศ แต่พระองค์ยังดำรงอยู่ สิ่งเหล่านั้นทั้งหมดจะเก่าลงเหมือนเสื้อผ้า
12And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
12พระองค์จะม้วนมันขึ้นเหมือนเสื้อคลุม และมันจะเปลี่ยนไป แต่พระองค์ยังคงเป็นองค์เดิม ปีทั้งหลายของพระองค์จะไม่สิ้นสุด”
13But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
13พระเจ้าเคยกล่าวกับทูตสวรรค์องค์ไหนหรือว่า “จงนั่งทางขวาของเรา จนกว่าเราจะทำให้ศัตรูของเจ้าเป็นที่วางเท้าของเจ้า”
14Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
14ทูตสวรรค์ทั้งปวงไม่ใช่วิญญาณที่รับใช้ ซึ่งถูกส่งออกไปเพื่อรับใช้คนที่จะได้รับความรอดเป็นมรดกหรือ?
