Isaiah 48

1Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the fountain of Judah; who swear by the name of the LORD, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness.
1雅各 家，稱為 以色列 名下， 從 猶大 水源出來的，當聽我言！ 你們指着耶和華的名起誓， 提說 以色列 的上帝， 卻不憑誠實，不憑公義。
2For they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves upon the God of Israel, the LORD of hosts is His name.
2他們自稱為聖城的人， 所倚靠的是 名為萬軍之耶和華－ 以色列 的上帝。
3I have declared the former things from of old; yea, they went forth out of My mouth, and I announced them; suddenly I did them, and they came to pass.
3主說：早先的事，我從古時說明， 已經出了我的口， 也是我所指示的； 我忽然行做，事便成就。
4Because I knew that thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew, and thy brow brass;
4因為我素來知道你是頑梗的－ 你的頸項是鐵的； 你的額是銅的。
5Therefore I have declared it to thee from of old; before it came to pass I announced it to thee; lest thou shouldest say: 'Mine idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath commanded them.'
5所以，我從古時將這事給你說明， 在未成以先指示你， 免得你說：這些事是我的偶像所行的， 是我雕刻的偶像和我鑄造的偶像所命定的。
6Thou hast heard, see, all this; and ye, will ye not declare it? I have announced unto thee new things from this time, even hidden things, which thou hast not known.
6你已經聽見，現在要看見這一切； 你不說明嗎？ 從今以後，我將新事， 就是你所不知道的隱密事指示你。
7They are created now, and not from of old, and before this day thou heardest them not; lest thou shouldest say: 'Behold, I knew them.'
7這事是現今造的，並非從古就有； 在今日以先，你也未曾聽見， 免得你說：這事我早已知道了。
8Yea, thou heardest not; yea, thou knewest not; yea, from of old thine ear was not opened; for I knew that thou wouldest deal very treacherously, and wast called a transgressor from the womb.
8你未曾聽見，未曾知道； 你的耳朵從來未曾開通。 我原知道你行事極其詭詐， 你自從出胎以來， 便稱為悖逆的。
9For My name's sake will I defer Mine anger, and for My praise will I refrain for thee, that I cut thee not off.
9我為我的名暫且忍怒， 為我的頌讚向你容忍， 不將你剪除。
10Behold, I have refined thee, but not as silver; I have tried thee in the furnace of affliction.
10我熬煉你，卻不像熬煉銀子； 你在苦難的爐中，我揀選你。
11For Mine own sake, for Mine own sake, will I do it; for how should it be profaned? And My glory will I not give to another.
11我為自己的緣故必行這事， 我焉能使 我的名 被褻瀆？ 我必不將我的榮耀歸給假神。
12Hearken unto Me, O Jacob, and Israel My called: I am He; I am the first, I also am the last.
12雅各 －我所選召的 以色列 啊， 當聽我言： 我是耶和華， 我是首先的，也是末後的。
13Yea, My hand hath laid the foundation of the earth, and My right hand hath spread out the heavens; when I call unto them, they stand up together.
13我手立了地的根基； 我右手鋪張諸天； 我一招呼便都立住。
14Assemble yourselves, all ye, and hear; which among them hath declared these things? He whom the LORD loveth shall perform His pleasure on Babylon, and show His arm on the Chaldeans.
14你們都當聚集而聽， 他們內中誰說過這些事？ 耶和華所愛的人必向 巴比倫 行他所喜悅的事； 他的膀臂也要 加在 迦勒底 人身上。
15I, even I, have spoken, yea, I have called him; I have brought him, and he shall make his way prosperous.
15惟有我曾說過，我又選召他， 領他來，他的道路就必亨通。
16Come ye near unto Me, hear ye this: From the beginning I have not spoken in secret; from the time that it was, there am I; and now the Lord GOD hath sent me, and His spirit.
16你們要就近我來聽這話： 我從起頭並未曾在隱密處說話； 自從有這事，我就在那裏。 現在，主耶和華差遣我和他的靈來。
17Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am the LORD thy God, who teacheth thee for thy profit, who leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.
17耶和華－你的救贖主， 以色列 的聖者如此說： 我是耶和華－你的上帝， 教訓你，使你得益處， 引導你所當行的路。
18Oh that thou wouldest hearken to My commandments! then would thy peace be as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea;
18甚願你素來聽從我的命令！ 你的平安就如河水； 你的公義就如海浪。
19Thy seed also would be as the sand, and the offspring of thy body like the grains thereof; his name would not be cut off nor destroyed from before Me.
19你的後裔也必多如 海 沙； 你腹中所生的也必多如沙粒。 他的名在我面前必不剪除， 也不滅絕。
20Go ye forth from Babylon, flee ye from the Chaldeans; with a voice of singing declare ye, tell this, utter it even to the end of the earth; say ye: 'The LORD hath redeemed His servant Jacob.
20你們要從 巴比倫 出來， 從 迦勒底 人中逃脫， 以歡呼的聲音傳揚說： 耶和華救贖了他的僕人 雅各 ！ 你們要將這事宣揚到地極。
21And they thirsted not when He led them through the deserts; He caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them; He cleaved the rock also, and the waters gushed out.'
21耶和華引導他們經過沙漠。 他們並不乾渴； 他為他們使水從磐石而流， 分裂磐石，水就湧出。
22There is no peace, saith the LORD concerning the wicked.
22耶和華說： 惡人必不得平安！
