1Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and to the writers that write iniquity;
1禍哉！那些設立不義之律例的 和記錄奸詐之判語的，
2To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right of the poor of My people, that widows may be their spoil, and that they may make the fatherless their prey!
2為要屈枉窮乏人， 奪去我民中困苦人的理， 以寡婦當作擄物， 以孤兒當作掠物。
3And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the ruin which shall come from far? To whom will ye flee for help? And where will ye leave your glory?
3到降罰的日子，有災禍從遠方臨到， 那時，你們怎樣行呢？ 你們向誰逃奔求救呢？ 你們的榮耀存留何處呢？
4They can do nought except crouch under the captives, and fall under the slain. For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
4他們只得屈身在被擄的人以下， 仆倒在被殺的人以下。 雖然如此，耶和華的怒氣還未轉消； 他的手仍伸不縮。
5O Asshur, the rod of Mine anger, in whose hand as a staff is Mine indignation!
5亞述 是我怒氣的棍， 手中拿我惱恨的杖。
6I do send him against an ungodly nation, and against the people of My wrath do I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
6我要打發他攻擊褻瀆的國民， 吩咐他攻擊我所惱怒的百姓， 搶財為擄物，奪貨為掠物， 將他們踐踏，像街上的泥土一樣。
7Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy, and to cut off nations not a few.
7然而，他不是這樣的意思； 他心也不這樣打算。 他心裏倒想毀滅， 剪除不少的國。
8For he saith: 'Are not my princes all of them kings?
8他說：我的臣僕豈不都是王嗎？
9Is not Calno as Carchemish? Is not Hamath as Arpad? Is not Samaria as Damascus?
9迦勒挪 豈不像 迦基米施 嗎？ 哈馬 豈不像 亞珥拔 嗎？ 撒馬利亞 豈不像 大馬士革 嗎？
10As my hand hath reached the kingdoms of the idols, whose graven images did exceed them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;
10我手已經搆到有偶像的國； 這些國雕刻的偶像 過於 耶路撒冷 和 撒馬利亞 的偶像。
11Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?'
11我怎樣待 撒馬利亞 和其中的偶像， 豈不照樣待 耶路撒冷 和其中的偶像嗎？
12Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed His whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his haughty looks.
12主在 錫安山 和 耶路撒冷 成就他一切工作的時候， 主說 ：「我必罰 亞述 王自大的心和他高傲眼目的榮耀。」
13For he hath said: by the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom, for I am prudent; in that I have removed the bounds of the peoples, and have robbed their treasures, and have brought down as one mighty the inhabitants;
13因為他說： 我所成就的事是靠我手的能力 和我的智慧， 我本有聰明。 我挪移列國的地界， 搶奪他們所積蓄的財寶； 並且我像勇士，使坐寶座的降為卑。
14And my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the peoples; and as one gathereth eggs that are forsaken, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or that opened the mouth, or chirped.
14我的手搆到列國的財寶， 好像人搆到鳥窩； 我也得了全地， 好像人拾起所棄的雀蛋。 沒有動翅膀的； 沒有張嘴的，也沒有鳴叫的。
15Should the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? Should the saw magnify itself against him that moveth it? as if a rod should move them that lift it up, or as if a staff should lift up him that is not wood.
15斧豈可向用斧砍木的自誇呢？ 鋸豈可向用鋸的自大呢？ 好比棍掄起那舉棍的， 好比杖舉起那非木的人。
16Therefore will the Lord, the LORD of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory there shall be kindled a burning like the burning of fire.
16因此，主－萬軍之耶和華 必使 亞述 王的肥壯人變為瘦弱， 在他的榮華之下必有火着起， 如同焚燒一樣。
17And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame; and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day.
17以色列 的光必如火； 他的聖者必如火焰。 在一日之間，將 亞述 王的荊棘 和蒺藜焚燒淨盡；
18And the glory of his forest and of his fruitful field, he will consume both soul and body; and it shall be as when a sick man wasteth away.
18又將他樹林和肥田的榮耀全然燒盡， 好像拿軍旗的昏過去一樣。
19And the remnant of the trees of his forest shall be few, that a child may write them down.
19他林中剩下的樹必稀少， 就是孩子也能寫其數。
20And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and they that are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
20到那日， 以色列 所剩下的和 雅各 家所逃脫的，不再倚靠那擊打他們的，卻要誠實倚靠耶和華－ 以色列 的聖者。
21A remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto God the Mighty.
21所剩下的，就是 雅各 家 所剩下的，必歸回全能的上帝。
22For though thy people, O Israel, be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them shall return; an extermination is determined, overflowing with righteousness.
22以色列 啊，你的百姓雖多如海沙， 惟有 剩下的歸回。原來滅絕的事已定，必有公義施行，如水漲溢。
23For an extermination wholly determined shall the Lord, the GOD of hosts, make in the midst of all the earth.
23因為主－萬軍之耶和華在全地之中必成就所定規的結局。
24Therefore thus saith the Lord, the GOD of hosts: O My people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of Asshur, though he smite thee with the rod, and lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.
24所以，主－萬軍之耶和華如此說：「住 錫安 我的百姓啊， 亞述 王雖然用棍擊打你，又照 埃及 的樣子舉杖攻擊你，你卻不要怕他。
25For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall be accomplished, and Mine anger shall be to their destruction.
25因為還有一點點時候， 向你們 發的忿恨就要完畢，我的怒氣要向他 發作 ，使他滅亡。
26And the LORD of hosts shall stir up against him a scourge, as in the slaughter of Midian at the Rock of Oreb; and as His rod was over the sea, so shall He lift it up after the manner of Egypt.
26萬軍之耶和華要興起鞭來攻擊他，好像在 俄立 磐石那裏殺戮 米甸 人一樣。耶和華的杖要向海伸出，把杖舉起，像在 埃及 一樣。
27And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall depart from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed by reason of fatness.
27到那日， 亞述 王的重擔必離開你的肩頭；他的軛必離開你的頸項；那軛也必因肥壯的緣故撐斷。」
28He is come to Aiath, he is passed through Migron; at Michmas he layeth up his baggage;
28亞述 王來到 亞葉 ， 經過 米磯崙 ， 在 密抹 安放輜重。
29They are gone over the pass; they have taken up their lodging at Geba; Ramah trembleth; Gibeath-shaul is fled.
29他們過了隘口， 在 迦巴 住宿。 拉瑪 人戰兢； 掃羅 的 基比亞 人逃跑。
30Cry thou with a shrill voice, O daughter of Gallim! Hearken, O Laish! O thou poor Anathoth!
30迦琳 的居民哪，要高聲呼喊！ 萊煞 人哪，須聽！ 哀哉！困苦的 亞拿突 啊。
31Madmenah is in mad flight; the inhabitants of Gebim flee to cover.
31瑪得米那 人躲避； 基柄 的居民逃遁。
32This very day shall he halt at Nob, shaking his hand at the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.
32當那日， 亞述 王要在 挪伯 歇兵， 向 錫安 女子的山－ 就是 耶路撒冷 的山－掄手 攻他 。
33Behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, shall lop the boughs with terror; and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the lofty shall be laid low.
33看哪，主－萬軍之耶和華 以驚嚇削去樹枝； 長高的必被砍下， 高大的必被伐倒。
34And He shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.
34稠密的樹林，他要用鐵器砍下； 黎巴嫩 的樹木 必被大能者伐倒。
