1And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Aram, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up to Jerusalem to war against it; but could not prevail against it.
1烏西雅 的孫子、 約坦 的兒子、 猶大 王 亞哈斯 在位 的時候， 亞蘭 王 利汛 和 利瑪利 的兒子、 以色列 王 比加 上來攻打 耶路撒冷 ，卻不能攻取。
2And it was told the house of David, saying: 'Aram is confederate with Ephraim.' And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the forest are moved with the wind.
2有人告訴 大衛 家說：「 亞蘭 與 以法蓮 已經同盟。」王的心和百姓的心就都跳動，好像林中的樹被風吹動一樣。
3Then said the LORD unto Isaiah: 'Go forth now to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shear-jashub thy son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool, in the highway of the fullers' field;
3耶和華對 以賽亞 說：「你和你的兒子 施亞雅述 出去，到上池的水溝頭，在漂布地的大路上，去迎接 亞哈斯 ，
4and say unto him: Keep calm, and be quiet; fear not, neither let thy heart be faint, because of these two tails of smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin and Aram, and of the son of Remaliah.
4對他說：『你要謹慎安靜，不要因 亞蘭 王 利汛 和 利瑪利 的兒子這兩個冒煙的火把頭所發的烈怒害怕，也不要心裏膽怯。
5Because Aram hath counselled evil against thee, Ephraim also, and the son of Remaliah, saying:
5因為 亞蘭 和 以法蓮 ，並 利瑪利 的兒子，設惡謀害你，
6Let us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach therein for us, and set up a king in the midst of it, even the son of Tabeel;
6說：我們可以上去攻擊 猶大 ，擾亂它，攻破它，在其中立 他比勒 的兒子為王。
7thus saith the Lord GOD: It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.
7所以主耶和華如此說： 這所謀的必立不住， 也不得成就。
8For the head of Aram is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin; and within threescore and five years shall Ephraim be broken, that it be not a people;
8原來 亞蘭 的首城是 大馬士革 ； 大馬士革 的首領是 利汛 。 （六十五年之內， 以法蓮 必然破壞，不再成為國民。）
9And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah's son. If ye will not have faith, surely ye shall not be established.'
9以法蓮 的首城是 撒馬利亞 ； 撒馬利亞 的首領是 利瑪利 的兒子。 你們若是不信， 定然不得立穩。』」
10And the LORD spoke again unto Ahaz, saying:
10耶和華又曉諭 亞哈斯 說：
11'Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God: ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.'
11「你向耶和華－你的上帝求一個兆頭：或求 顯 在深處，或求 顯 在高處。」
12But Ahaz said: 'I will not ask, neither will I try the LORD.'
12亞哈斯 說：「我不求；我不試探耶和華。」
13And he said: 'Hear ye now, O house of David: Is it a small thing for you to weary men, that ye will weary my God also?
13以賽亞 說：「 大衛 家啊，你們當聽！你們使人厭煩豈算小事，還要使我的上帝厭煩嗎？
14Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign: behold, the young woman shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
14因此，主自己要給你們一個兆頭，必有童女懷孕生子，給他起名叫 以馬內利 。
15Curd and honey shall he eat, when he knoweth to refuse the evil, and choose the good.
15到他曉得棄惡擇善的時候，他必吃奶油與蜂蜜。
16Yea, before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land whose two kings thou hast a horror of shall be forsaken.
16因為在這孩子還不曉得棄惡擇善之先，你所憎惡的那二王之地必致見棄。
17The LORD shall bring upon thee, and upon thy people, and upon thy father's house, days that have not come, from the day that Ephraim departed from Judah; even the king of Assyria.'
17耶和華必使 亞述 王 攻擊你 的日子臨到你和你的百姓，並你的父家，自從 以法蓮 離開 猶大 以來，未曾有這樣的日子。
18And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall hiss for the fly that is in the uttermost part of the rivers of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.
18「那時，耶和華要發嘶聲，使 埃及 江河源頭的蒼蠅和 亞述 地的蜂子飛來；
19And they shall come, and shall rest all of them in the rugged valleys, and in the holes of the rocks, and upon all thorns, and upon all brambles.
19都必飛來，落在荒涼的谷內、磐石的穴裏，和一切荊棘籬笆中，並一切的草場上。
20In that day shall the Lord shave with a razor that is hired in the parts beyond the River, even with the king of Assyria, the head and the hair of the feet; and it shall also sweep away the beard.
20「那時，主必用大河外賃的剃頭刀，就是 亞述 王，剃去頭髮和腳上的毛，並要剃淨鬍鬚。
21And it shall come to pass in that day, that a man shall rear a young cow, and two sheep;
21「那時，一個人要養活一隻母牛犢，兩隻母綿羊；
22and it shall come to pass, for the abundance of milk that they shall give, he shall eat curd; for curd and honey shall every one eat that is left in the midst of the land.
22因為出的奶多，他就得吃奶油，在境內所剩的人都要吃奶油與蜂蜜。
23And it shall come to pass in that day, that every place, where there were a thousand vines at a thousand silverlings, shall even be for briers and thorns.
23「從前，凡種一千棵葡萄樹、值銀一千 舍客勒 的地方，到那時必長荊棘和蒺藜。
24With arrows and with bow shall one come thither; because all the land shall become briers and thorns.
24人上那裏去，必帶弓箭，因為遍地滿了荊棘和蒺藜。
25And all the hills that were digged with the mattock, thou shalt not come thither for fear of briers and thorns, but it shall be for the sending forth of oxen, and for the treading of sheep.
25所有用鋤刨挖的山地，你因怕荊棘和蒺藜，不敢上那裏去；只可成了放牛之處，為羊踐踏之地。」
