1Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help, and rely on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many, and in horsemen, because they are exceeding mighty; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!
1禍哉！那些下 埃及 求幫助的， 是因仗賴馬匹，倚靠甚多的車輛， 並倚靠強壯的馬兵， 卻不仰望 以色列 的聖者， 也不求問耶和華。
2Yet He also is wise, and bringeth evil, and doth not call back His words; but will arise against the house of the evil-doers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.
2其實，耶和華有智慧； 他必降災禍， 並不反悔自己的話， 卻要興起攻擊那作惡之家， 又攻擊那作孽幫助人的。
3Now the Egyptians are men, and not God, and their horses flesh, and not spirit; so when the LORD shall stretch out His hand, both he that helpeth shall stumble, and he that is helped shall fall, and they all shall perish together.
3埃及 人不過是人，並不是上帝； 他們的馬不過是血肉，並不是靈。 耶和華一伸手，那幫助人的必絆跌， 那受幫助的也必跌倒，都一同滅亡。
4For thus saith the LORD unto me: Like as the lion, or the young lion, growling over his prey, though a multitude of shepherds be called forth against him, will not be dismayed at their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them; so will the LORD of hosts come down to fight upon mount Zion, and upon the hill thereof.
4耶和華對我如此說： 獅子和少壯獅子護食咆哮， 就是喊許多牧人來攻擊牠， 牠總不因他們的聲音驚惶， 也不因他們的喧嘩縮伏。 如此，萬軍之耶和華 也必降臨在 錫安山 岡上爭戰。
5As birds hovering, so will the LORD of hosts protect Jerusalem; He will deliver it as He protecteth it, He will rescue it as He passeth over.
5雀鳥怎樣搧翅 覆雛 ， 萬軍之耶和華也要照樣保護 耶路撒冷 。 他必保護拯救， 要越門保守。
6Turn ye unto Him against whom ye have deeply rebelled, O children of Israel.
6以色列 人哪，你們深深地悖逆耶和華，現今要歸向他。
7For in that day they shall cast away every man his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin.
7到那日，各人必將他金偶像銀偶像，就是親手所造、陷自己在罪中的，都拋棄了。
8Then shall Asshur fall with the sword, not of man, and the sword, not of men, shall devour him; and he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall become tributary.
8亞述 人必倒在刀下，並非人的刀； 有刀要將他吞滅，並非人的刀。 他必逃避這刀； 他的少年人必成為服苦的。
9And his rock shall pass away by reason of terror, and his princes shall be dismayed at the ensign, saith the LORD, whose fire is in Zion, and His furnace in Jerusalem.
9他的磐石必因驚嚇挪去； 他的首領必因大旗驚惶。 這是那有火在 錫安 、 有爐在 耶路撒冷 的耶和華說的。
