1Then the LORD said unto Moses: 'Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him: Thus saith the LORD, the God of the Hebrews: Let My people go, that they may serve Me.
1พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสกับโมเสสว่า “ไปหาฟาโรห์แล้วบอกเขาว่า ‘พระยาห์เวห์ พระเจ้าของชาวฮีบรู ตรัสดังนี้ว่า “ปล่อยประชาชนของเราไป เพื่อพวกเขาจะรับใช้เรา
2For if thou refuse to let them go, and wilt hold them still,
2ถ้าเจ้ายังปฏิเสธ ไม่ยอมปล่อยพวกเขาไป และยังกักพวกเขาไว้
3behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which are in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the herds, and upon the flocks; there shall be a very grievous murrain.
3ดูสิ มือของพระยาห์เวห์จะนำโรคระบาดร้ายแรงมาสู่ฝูงสัตว์ของเจ้าที่อยู่ในทุ่ง ทั้งม้า ลา อูฐ ฝูงวัว และฝูงแพะแกะ
4And the LORD shall make a division between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt; and there shall nothing die of all that belongeth to the children of Israel.'
4แต่พระยาห์เวห์จะแยกฝูงสัตว์ของอิสราเอลออกจากฝูงสัตว์ของอียิปต์ และสัตว์ของชาวอิสราเอลจะไม่ตายแม้แต่ตัวเดียว”’”
5And the LORD appointed a set time, saying: 'Tomorrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land.'
5พระยาห์เวห์กำหนดเวลาไว้แล้วตรัสว่า “พรุ่งนี้พระยาห์เวห์จะทำสิ่งนี้ในแผ่นดิน”
6And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died; but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.
6วันรุ่งขึ้นพระยาห์เวห์ก็ทำตามนั้น สัตว์เลี้ยงของชาวอียิปต์ตายหมด แต่สัตว์เลี้ยงของชาวอิสราเอลไม่ตายแม้แต่ตัวเดียว
7And Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not so much as one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. But the heart of Pharaoh was stubborn, and he did not let the people go.
7ฟาโรห์ส่งคนไปตรวจดู ก็พบว่าสัตว์เลี้ยงของชาวอิสราเอลไม่ตายเลยแม้แต่ตัวเดียว ถึงอย่างนั้น ใจฟาโรห์ก็ยังดื้อดึง และเขาไม่ยอมปล่อยประชาชนไป
8And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron: 'Take to you handfuls of soot of the furnace, and let Moses throw it heavenward in the sight of Pharaoh.
8พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสกับโมเสสและอาโรนว่า “ตักขี้เถ้าจากเตาเผามาคนละกำมือ แล้วให้โมเสสโปรยขึ้นไปบนท้องฟ้าต่อหน้าฟาโรห์
9And it shall become small dust over all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.'
9ขี้เถ้าจะกลายเป็นฝุ่นละเอียดกระจายไปทั่วแผ่นดินอียิปต์ ทำให้เกิดฝีและตุ่มพุพองทั้งบนคนและสัตว์ทั่วแผ่นดินอียิปต์”
10And they took soot of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses threw it up heavenward; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man and upon beast.
10ทั้งสองจึงเอาขี้เถ้าจากเตาเผาไปยืนต่อหน้าฟาโรห์ โมเสสโปรยขี้เถ้าขึ้นสู่ท้องฟ้า แล้วก็เกิดฝีและตุ่มพุพองทั้งบนคนและสัตว์
11And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boils were upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.
11พวกนักเวทมนตร์ไม่อาจยืนต่อหน้าโมเสสได้เพราะทั้งพวกเขาและชาวอียิปต์ทุกคนต่างเป็นฝี
12And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.
12แต่พระยาห์เวห์ทำให้ใจฟาโรห์แข็งกระด้าง เขาจึงไม่ยอมฟังโมเสสกับอาโรน ตามที่พระยาห์เวห์ได้ตรัสกับโมเสสไว้
13And the LORD said unto Moses: 'Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him: Thus saith the LORD, the God of the Hebrews: Let My people go, that they may serve Me.
13พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสกับโมเสสว่า “พรุ่งนี้เช้าให้ลุกแต่เช้าไปยืนต่อหน้าฟาโรห์ แล้วบอกเขาว่า ‘พระยาห์เวห์ พระเจ้าของชาวฮีบรู ตรัสดังนี้ว่า “ปล่อยประชาชนของเราไป เพื่อพวกเขาจะรับใช้เรา
14For I will this time send all My plagues upon thy person, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like Me in all the earth.
14เพราะครั้งนี้เราจะส่งภัยพิบัติทั้งหมดของเรามาลงที่ใจเจ้า ลงที่เหล่าขุนนาง และลงที่ประชาชนของเจ้า เพื่อเจ้าจะได้รู้ว่าไม่มีใครเหมือนเราทั่วทั้งแผ่นดิน
15Surely now I had put forth My hand, and smitten thee and thy people with pestilence, and thou hadst been cut off from the earth.
15ที่จริงเราสามารถเหยียดมือออกโจมตีเจ้าและประชาชนของเจ้าด้วยโรคระบาด จนพวกเจ้าพินาศสิ้นไปจากแผ่นดินได้แล้ว
16But in very deed for this cause have I made thee to stand, to show thee My power, and that My name may be declared throughout all the earth.
16แต่ที่เรายังให้เจ้าดำรงอยู่มาจนถึงตอนนี้ ก็เพื่อแสดงฤทธิ์อำนาจของเราให้เจ้าเห็น และเพื่อชื่อของเราจะประกาศไปทั่วโลก
17As yet exaltest thou thyself against My people, that thou wilt not let them go?
17แต่เจ้ายังยกตัวขึ้นต่อต้านประชาชนของเรา ไม่ยอมปล่อยพวกเขาไป
18Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the day it was founded even until now.
18ดูสิ พรุ่งนี้เวลาประมาณนี้ เราจะให้ลูกเห็บรุนแรงมากตกลงมา อย่างที่ไม่เคยเกิดขึ้นในอียิปต์ตั้งแต่มีแผ่นดินอียิปต์มาจนถึงวันนี้
19Now therefore send, hasten in thy cattle and all that thou hast in the field; for every man and beast that shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.'
19เพราะฉะนั้น ตอนนี้จงสั่งให้นำฝูงสัตว์และทุกสิ่งที่อยู่ในทุ่งของเจ้าเข้าไปอยู่ในที่กำบัง ลูกเห็บจะตกลงมาใส่คนและสัตว์ทุกตัวที่ยังอยู่กลางทุ่งและไม่ได้ถูกนำเข้าบ้าน พวกเขาจะตาย”’”
20He that feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses;
20ข้ารับใช้ของฟาโรห์คนใดเกรงกลัวถ้อยคำของพระยาห์เวห์ ก็รีบให้คนรับใช้กับฝูงสัตว์ของตนหนีเข้าไปอยู่ในบ้าน
21and he that regarded not the word of the LORD left his servants and his cattle in the field.
21แต่คนที่ไม่ใส่ใจถ้อยคำของพระยาห์เวห์ก็ปล่อยคนรับใช้และฝูงสัตว์ไว้กลางทุ่ง
22And the LORD said unto Moses: 'Stretch forth thy hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.'
22พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสกับโมเสสว่า “เหยียดมือขึ้นไปทางท้องฟ้า ให้ลูกเห็บตกทั่วแผ่นดินอียิปต์ ลงบนคน สัตว์ และพืชทุกชนิดในทุ่งทั่วแผ่นดินอียิปต์”
23And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven; and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and fire ran down unto the earth; and the LORD caused to hail upon the land of Egypt.
23โมเสสจึงเหยียดไม้เท้าขึ้นไปทางท้องฟ้า พระยาห์เวห์ส่งเสียงฟ้าร้องและลูกเห็บลงมา มีสายฟ้าฟาดลงสู่พื้นดิน และพระยาห์เวห์ให้ลูกเห็บตกเหนือแผ่นดินอียิปต์
24So there was hail, and fire flashing up amidst the hail, very grievous, such as had not been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
24ลูกเห็บตกหนักมาก มีสายฟ้าแลบปะปนอยู่กับลูกเห็บ รุนแรงอย่างที่ไม่เคยมีทั่วแผ่นดินอียิปต์ตั้งแต่มีอียิปต์มา
25And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and broke every tree of the field.
25ลูกเห็บทำลายทุกสิ่งที่อยู่กลางทุ่งทั่วแผ่นดินอียิปต์ ทั้งคนและสัตว์ ทำลายพืชทุกชนิดในทุ่ง และหักต้นไม้ทุกต้น
26Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.
26มีเพียงแผ่นดินโกเชนซึ่งชาวอิสราเอลอาศัยอยู่เท่านั้นที่ไม่มีลูกเห็บ
27And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them: 'I have sinned this time; the LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.
27ฟาโรห์ส่งคนไปเรียกโมเสสกับอาโรนมา แล้วพูดว่า “คราวนี้เราทำบาปแล้ว พระยาห์เวห์เป็นฝ่ายชอบธรรม ส่วนเรากับประชาชนของเราต่างทำชั่ว
28Entreat the LORD, and let there be enough of these mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer.'
28อธิษฐานต่อพระยาห์เวห์เถอะ เสียงฟ้าร้องกึกก้องกับลูกเห็บนี้มากพอแล้ว เราจะปล่อยพวกเจ้าไป และพวกเจ้าจะไม่ต้องอยู่ที่นี่ต่อไป”
29And Moses said unto him: 'As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread forth my hands unto the LORD; the thunders shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know that the earth is the LORD'S.
29โมเสสตอบว่า “ทันทีที่ผมออกจากเมือง ผมจะกางมือทั้งสองออกอธิษฐานต่อพระยาห์เวห์ เสียงฟ้าร้องจะหยุด และจะไม่มีลูกเห็บอีก เพื่อท่านจะได้รู้ว่าแผ่นดินโลกเป็นของพระยาห์เวห์
30But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear the LORD God.' —
30แต่ผมรู้ว่าท่านกับข้ารับใช้ของท่านยังไม่เกรงกลัวพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้า”
31And the flax and the barley were smitten; for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was in bloom.
31ต้นลินินและข้าวบาร์เลย์ถูกทำลาย เพราะข้าวบาร์เลย์ออกรวงแล้ว และต้นลินินกำลังออกดอก
32But the wheat and the spelt were not smitten; for they ripen late. —
32แต่ข้าวสาลีและข้าวสเปลต์ไม่ถูกทำลาย เพราะยังไม่โตเต็มที่
33And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread forth his hands unto the LORD; and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.
33โมเสสออกจากฟาโรห์ไปนอกเมืองแล้วกางมือออกอธิษฐานต่อพระยาห์เวห์ เสียงฟ้าร้องกับลูกเห็บก็หยุด และฝนไม่ตกลงบนแผ่นดินอีก
34And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.
34เมื่อฟาโรห์เห็นว่าฝน ลูกเห็บ และเสียงฟ้าร้องหยุดแล้ว เขาก็ยิ่งทำบาปหนักขึ้น ทั้งเขาและข้ารับใช้ของเขาต่างทำให้ใจของตนแข็งกระด้าง
35And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the children of Israel go; as the LORD had spoken by Moses.
35ใจของฟาโรห์แข็งกระด้าง เขาไม่ยอมปล่อยชาวอิสราเอลไป ตามที่พระยาห์เวห์ได้ตรัสผ่านโมเสสไว้
