1And the LORD spoke unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying:
1พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสกับโมเสสและอาโรนในแผ่นดินอียิปต์ว่า
2'This month shall be unto you the beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you.
2“เดือนนี้จะเป็นเดือนเริ่มต้นของพวกเจ้า ให้ถือเป็นเดือนแรกของปี
3Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying: In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to their fathers' houses, a lamb for a household;
3จงบอกชุมชนอิสราเอลทั้งหมดว่า ‘ในวันที่ 10 ของเดือนนี้ ให้แต่ละครัวเรือนในตระกูลเลือกลูกแกะ 1 ตัว ครัวเรือนละ 1 ตัว
4and if the household be too little for a lamb, then shall he and his neighbour next unto his house take one according to the number of the souls; according to every man's eating ye shall make your count for the lamb.
4ถ้าครอบครัวไหนมีคนน้อยเกินกว่าจะกินลูกแกะทั้งตัว ให้ครอบครัวนั้นรวมกับเพื่อนบ้านที่อยู่ติดกัน เลือกหนึ่งตัวตามจำนวนคน และคำนวณตามปริมาณที่แต่ละคนกินได้
5Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year; ye shall take it from the sheep, or from the goats;
5สัตว์ที่เลือกต้องไม่มีตำหนิ เป็นตัวผู้อายุ 1 ปี จะเลือกเป็นลูกแกะหรือลูกแพะก็ได้
6and ye shall keep it unto the fourteenth day of the same month; and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at dusk.
6จงเก็บมันไว้จนถึงวันที่ 14 ของเดือนนั้น แล้วชุมชนอิสราเอลทั้งหมดจะฆ่ามันในเวลาเย็น
7And they shall take of the blood, and put it on the two side-posts and on the lintel, upon the houses wherein they shall eat it.
7ให้เอาเลือดบางส่วนทาที่เสาประตูทั้งสองข้างและคานประตูด้านบนของบ้านที่กินเนื้อนั้น
8And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
8คืนนั้นให้กินเนื้อซึ่งย่างด้วยไฟพร้อมขนมปังไร้เชื้อและผักรสขม
9Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; its head with its legs and with the inwards thereof.
9อย่ากินดิบหรือเอาไปต้มในน้ำ ต้องย่างด้วยไฟทั้งหัว ขา และเครื่องใน
10And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; but that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.
10อย่าเหลือไว้ถึงเช้า ถ้ามีอะไรเหลือถึงเช้าให้เผาเสีย
11And thus shall ye eat it: with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste — it is the LORD'S passover.
11ให้กินแบบนี้ คือคาดเข็มขัดไว้ที่เอว สวมรองเท้า ถือไม้เท้าไว้ในมือ และรีบกิน นี่คือพิธีปัสกาของพระยาห์เวห์
12For I will go through the land of Egypt in that night, and will smite all the first-born in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments: I am the LORD.
12เพราะคืนนั้นเราจะผ่านไปทั่วแผ่นดินอียิปต์ และจะประหารลูกคนโตทุกคนในแผ่นดินอียิปต์ ทั้งคนและสัตว์ เราจะพิพากษาเทพเจ้าทั้งหมดของอียิปต์ เราคือพระยาห์เวห์
13And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and there shall no plague be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
13เลือดบนบ้านที่พวกเจ้าอยู่จะเป็นหมายสำคัญสำหรับพวกเจ้า เมื่อเราเห็นเลือด เราจะผ่านเลยพวกเจ้าไป และเมื่อเราโจมตีแผ่นดินอียิปต์ ภัยพิบัติที่จะทำลายจะไม่เกิดกับพวกเจ้า
14And this day shall be unto you for a memorial, and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD; throughout your generations ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.
14วันนี้จะเป็นวันที่พวกเจ้าระลึกถึง จงฉลองวันนี้เป็นเทศกาลถวายแด่พระยาห์เวห์ พวกเจ้าต้องถือเทศกาลนี้ตลอดทุกชั่วอายุเป็นข้อกำหนดถาวร
15Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; howbeit the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses; for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.
15“‘พวกเจ้าต้องกินขนมปังไร้เชื้อเป็นเวลา 7 วัน ตั้งแต่วันแรกให้เอาเชื้อแป้งออกจากบ้าน เพราะใครกินขนมปังที่มีเชื้อตั้งแต่วันแรกจนถึงวันที่ 7 คนนั้นจะถูกตัดออกจากอิสราเอล
16And in the first day there shall be to you a holy convocation, and in the seventh day a holy convocation; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done by you.
16ในวันแรกและวันที่ 7 ให้มีการชุมนุมศักดิ์สิทธิ์ ห้ามทำงานใด ๆ ในวันเหล่านั้น นอกจากเตรียมอาหารที่แต่ละคนต้องกินเท่านั้น
17And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your hosts out of the land of Egypt; therefore shall ye observe this day throughout your generations by an ordinance for ever.
17จงถือเทศกาลขนมปังไร้เชื้อ เพราะในวันนี้เองเราได้นำกองทัพของพวกเจ้าออกจากแผ่นดินอียิปต์ พวกเจ้าจึงต้องถือวันนี้ตลอดทุกชั่วอายุเป็นข้อกำหนดถาวร
18In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.
18ในเดือนแรก ตั้งแต่เย็นวันที่ 14 จนถึงเย็นวันที่ 21 ของเดือน พวกเจ้าต้องกินขนมปังไร้เชื้อ
19Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses; for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a sojourner, or one that is born in the land.
19ตลอด 7 วันต้องไม่พบเชื้อแป้งในบ้านของพวกเจ้า เพราะใครกินสิ่งที่มีเชื้อ คนนั้นจะถูกตัดออกจากชุมชนอิสราเอล ไม่ว่าจะเป็นคนต่างชาติหรือคนที่เกิดในแผ่นดิน
20Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.'
20พวกเจ้าอย่ากินสิ่งใดที่มีเชื้อ ไม่ว่าพวกเจ้าจะอาศัยอยู่ที่ไหนก็ให้กินขนมปังไร้เชื้อ’”
21Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them: 'Draw out, and take you lambs according to your families, and kill the passover lamb.
21โมเสสเรียกผู้อาวุโสทั้งหมดของอิสราเอลมาแล้วพูดว่า “ไปเลือกลูกแกะตามครอบครัวของพวกคุณ แล้วฆ่าสัตว์สำหรับพิธีปัสกา
22And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two side-posts with the blood that is in the basin; and none of you shall go out of the door of his house until the morning.
22เอากิ่งหุสบหนึ่งกำจุ่มลงในเลือดที่อยู่ในอ่าง แล้วใช้เลือดนั้นแต้มคานประตูด้านบนกับเสาประตูทั้งสองข้าง ไม่มีใครออกจากประตูบ้านจนถึงเช้า
23For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when He seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side-posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.
23เพราะพระยาห์เวห์จะผ่านไปประหารชาวอียิปต์ เมื่อพระองค์เห็นเลือดบนคานประตูด้านบนและเสาประตูทั้งสองข้าง พระยาห์เวห์จะผ่านเลยประตูนั้นไป และจะไม่ยอมให้ผู้ทำลายเข้าไปในบ้านของพวกคุณเพื่อประหารพวกคุณ
24And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever.
24พวกคุณและลูก ๆ ต้องปฏิบัติตามเรื่องนี้เป็นข้อกำหนดตลอดไป
25And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the LORD will give you, according as He hath promised, that ye shall keep this service.
25เมื่อพวกคุณเข้าไปในแผ่นดินที่พระยาห์เวห์จะประทานให้ตามที่พระองค์สัญญาไว้แล้ว ก็จงถือพิธีนี้ต่อไป
26And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you: What mean ye by this service?
26เมื่อลูก ๆ ถามพวกคุณว่า ‘พิธีนี้หมายความว่าอย่างไร?’
27that ye shall say: It is the sacrifice of the LORD'S passover, for that He passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when He smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses.' And the people bowed the head and worshipped.
27ให้ตอบว่า ‘นี่คือเครื่องบูชาปัสกาของพระยาห์เวห์ เพราะพระองค์ผ่านเลยบ้านของชาวอิสราเอลในอียิปต์ไป ตอนที่พระองค์ประหารชาวอียิปต์ แต่ละเว้นบ้านของพวกเราไว้’” ประชาชนจึงก้มศีรษะลงนมัสการ
28And the children of Israel went and did so; as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.
28ชาวอิสราเอลก็ไปทำเช่นนั้น พวกเขาทำตามที่พระยาห์เวห์สั่งโมเสสและอาโรนทุกอย่าง
29And it came to pass at midnight, that the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the first-born of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the first-born of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the first-born of cattle.
29เวลาเที่ยงคืน พระยาห์เวห์ประหารลูกคนโตทุกคนในแผ่นดินอียิปต์ ตั้งแต่ลูกคนโตของฟาโรห์ที่นั่งอยู่บนบัลลังก์ ไปจนถึงลูกคนโตของเชลยที่อยู่ในคุกใต้ดิน รวมทั้งลูกตัวแรกของสัตว์ทั้งหมด
30And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.
30ฟาโรห์ลุกขึ้นกลางดึกพร้อมกับข้ารับใช้ทั้งหมดและชาวอียิปต์ทุกคน เกิดเสียงร้องไห้คร่ำครวญดังทั่วอียิปต์ เพราะไม่มีบ้านไหนที่ไม่มีคนตาย
31And he called for Moses and Aaron by night and said: 'Rise up, get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as ye have said.
31ฟาโรห์เรียกโมเสสกับอาโรนมากลางดึกแล้วพูดว่า “ลุกขึ้น! ออกไปจากท่ามกลางประชาชนของเรา ทั้งพวกเจ้าและชาวอิสราเอล ไปเสีย ไปรับใช้พระยาห์เวห์อย่างที่พวกเจ้าพูดไว้!
32Take both your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also.'
32เอาทั้งฝูงแพะแกะและฝูงวัวของพวกเจ้าไปด้วยอย่างที่พวกเจ้าพูดไว้ แล้วไปให้พ้น และช่วยอวยพรเราด้วย!”
33And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, to send them out of the land in haste; for they said: 'We are all dead men.'
33ชาวอียิปต์เร่งให้ประชาชนออกจากแผ่นดินโดยเร็ว เพราะพูดกันว่า “พวกเราตายกันหมดแน่!”
34And the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneading-troughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders.
34ประชาชนจึงยกแป้งที่ยังไม่ขึ้นฟูไปทั้งอ่างนวดแป้ง โดยห่ออ่างไว้ในเสื้อผ้าแล้วแบกขึ้นบ่า
35And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they asked of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment.
35ชาวอิสราเอลทำตามที่โมเสสบอก พวกเขาขอเครื่องเงิน เครื่องทอง และเสื้อผ้าจากชาวอียิปต์
36And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they let them have what they asked. And they despoiled the Egyptians.
36พระยาห์เวห์ทำให้ชาวอิสราเอลได้รับความเอ็นดูจากชาวอียิปต์ ชาวอียิปต์จึงให้สิ่งที่พวกเขาขอ ชาวอิสราเอลจึงกวาดเอาทรัพย์สินของชาวอียิปต์ไป
37And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand men on foot, beside children.
37ชาวอิสราเอลเดินทางจากราเมเสสไปสุคคท มีผู้ชายที่เดินเท้าประมาณ 600,000 คน ไม่นับเด็ก
38And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.
38ยังมีฝูงชนหลากหลายกลุ่มจำนวนมากร่วมเดินทางไปกับพวกเขา พร้อมฝูงแพะแกะ ฝูงวัว และสัตว์เลี้ยงจำนวนมาก
39And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Egypt, for it was not leavened; because they were thrust out of Egypt, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any victual.
39พวกเขาเอาแป้งที่นำออกมาจากอียิปต์มาอบเป็นแผ่นขนมปังไร้เชื้อ เพราะแป้งยังไม่ขึ้นฟู เนื่องจากพวกเขาถูกเร่งให้ออกจากอียิปต์จนรอไม่ได้ และไม่ได้เตรียมเสบียงไว้สำหรับตัวเอง
40Now the time that the children of Israel dwelt in Egypt was four hundred and thirty years.
40ชาวอิสราเอลพำนักอยู่ในอียิปต์เป็นเวลา 430 ปี
41And it came to pass at the end of four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the host of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt.
41เมื่อครบ 430 ปีพอดี ในวันนั้นเอง กองทัพทั้งหมดของพระยาห์เวห์ก็ออกจากแผ่นดินอียิปต์
42It was a night of watching unto the LORD for bringing them out from the land of Egypt; this same night is a night of watching unto the LORD for all the children of Israel throughout their generations.
42คืนนั้นเป็นคืนที่ต้องเฝ้าระลึกถึงพระยาห์เวห์ เพราะพระองค์พาพวกเขาออกจากแผ่นดินอียิปต์ นี่คือคืนของพระยาห์เวห์ที่ชาวอิสราเอลทุกชั่วอายุต้องเฝ้าระลึกถึง
43And the LORD said unto Moses and Aaron: 'This is the ordinance of the passover: there shall no alien eat thereof;
43พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสกับโมเสสและอาโรนว่า “นี่คือข้อกำหนดสำหรับพิธีปัสกา คนต่างชาติห้ามกินอาหารพิธีนี้
44but every man's servant that is bought for money, when thou hast circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof.
44แต่ทาสชายที่ซื้อมา เมื่อให้เขาเข้าสุหนัตแล้วจึงกินได้
45A sojourner and a hired servant shall not eat thereof.
45คนต่างชาติและลูกจ้างห้ามกิน
46In one house shall it be eaten; thou shalt not carry forth aught of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall ye break a bone thereof.
46ต้องกินในบ้านหลังเดียว ห้ามนำเนื้อออกนอกบ้าน และห้ามหักกระดูกของมันแม้แต่ชิ้นเดียว
47All the congregation of Israel shall keep it.
47ชุมชนอิสราเอลทั้งหมดต้องถือพิธีนี้
48And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land; but no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.
48ถ้ามีคนต่างถิ่นมาพำนักอยู่กับพวกเจ้าและต้องการถือพิธีปัสกาถวายแด่พระยาห์เวห์ ทุกคนในบ้านของเขาที่เป็นเพศชายต้องเข้าสุหนัตก่อน แล้วเขาจึงเข้าร่วมพิธีได้ เขาจะเป็นเหมือนคนที่เกิดในแผ่นดิน แต่คนที่ไม่ได้เข้าสุหนัตห้ามกินอาหารพิธีนี้
49One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.'
49กฎเดียวกันใช้กับคนพื้นเมืองและคนต่างถิ่นที่มาพำนักอยู่ท่ามกลางพวกเจ้า”
50Thus did all the children of Israel; as the LORD commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.
50ชาวอิสราเอลทุกคนก็ทำเช่นนั้น พวกเขาทำตามที่พระยาห์เวห์สั่งโมเสสและอาโรน
51And it came to pass the selfsame day that the LORD did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their hosts.
51ในวันนั้นเอง พระยาห์เวห์นำชาวอิสราเอลออกจากแผ่นดินอียิปต์เป็นกองทัพต่าง ๆ
