1イスラエルの人々が打って、その地を自分たちのものとした、ヨルダン川の東の王たちは次のとおりである。その領域はアルノン川の谷からヘルモン山まで、また東側のアラバ全域に及んだ。
1Now these are the kings of the land, which the children of Israel smote, and possessed their land on the other side Jordan toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Hermon, and all the plain on the east:
2ヘシュボンに住んでいたアモリ人の王シホン。彼はアルノン川の谷の端にあるアロエルから、谷の真ん中、ギルアデの半分を治め、アンモン人の境界であるヤボク川に至るまで、
2Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt in Heshbon, and ruled from Aroer, which is upon the bank of the river Arnon, and from the middle of the river, and from half Gilead, even unto the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon;
3また東のアラバをキネレテの海に至るまで、東のアラバの海、すなわち塩の海に至るまで、ベテ・エシモトの道を通って、南のピスガの斜面の下まで治めていた。
3And from the plain to the sea of Chinneroth on the east, and unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea on the east, the way to Beth-jeshimoth; and from the south, under Ashdoth-pisgah:
4また、バシャンの王オグの領地。彼はアシュタロトとエドレイに住んでいたレファイムの生き残りであり、
4¶ And the coast of Og king of Bashan, which was of the remnant of the giants, that dwelt at Ashtaroth and at Edrei,
5ヘルモン山、サルカ、全バシャンを治め、ゲシュル人およびマアカ人の境界に至るまで、またヘシュボンの王シホンの境界に至るギルアデの半分を治めていた。
5And reigned in mount Hermon, and in Salcah, and in all Bashan, unto the border of the Geshurites and the Maachathites, and half Gilead, the border of Sihon king of Heshbon.
6主のしもべモーセとイスラエルの人々は彼らを打った。主のしもべモーセはそれをルベン人、ガド人、マナセの半部族に相続地として与えた。
6Them did Moses the servant of the LORD and the children of Israel smite: and Moses the servant of the LORD gave it for a possession unto the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh.
7ヨシュアとイスラエルの人々が、ヨルダン川の向こう側、西のほうで、レバノンの谷にあるバアル・ガドからセイルへ上って行くハラク山に至るまで打った、その地の王たちは次のとおりである。ヨシュアはそれをイスラエルの部族に、その割り当てに従って相続地として与えた。
7¶ And these are the kings of the country which Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side Jordan on the west, from Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon even unto the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir; which Joshua gave unto the tribes of Israel for a possession according to their divisions;
8それは山地、低地、アラバ、傾斜地、荒野、ネゲブにいたヘト人、アモリ人、カナン人、ペリジ人、ヒビ人、およびエブス人の地であった。
8In the mountains, and in the valleys, and in the plains, and in the springs, and in the wilderness, and in the south country; the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites:
9エリコの王が一人、 ベテルのそばにあるアイの王が一人、
9¶ The king of Jericho, one; the king of Ai, which is beside Beth-el, one;
10エルサレムの王が一人、 ヘブロンの王が一人、
10The king of Jerusalem, one; the king of Hebron, one;
11ヤルムトの王が一人、 ラキシュの王が一人、
11The king of Jarmuth, one; the king of Lachish, one;
12エグロンの王が一人、 ゲゼルの王が一人、
12The king of Eglon, one; the king of Gezer, one;
13デビルの王が一人、 ゲデルの王が一人、
13The king of Debir, one; the king of Geder, one;
14ホルマの王が一人、 アラドの王が一人、
14The king of Hormah, one; the king of Arad, one;
15リブナの王が一人、 アドラムの王が一人、
15The king of Libnah, one; the king of Adullam, one;
16マケダの王が一人、 ベテルの王が一人、
16The king of Makkedah, one; the king of Beth-el, one;
17タプアの王が一人、 ヘフェルの王が一人、
17The king of Tappuah, one; the king of Hepher, one;
18アフェクの王が一人、 ラシャロンの王が一人、
18The king of Aphek, one; the king of Lasharon, one;
19マドンの王が一人、 ハツォルの王が一人、
19The king of Madon, one; the king of Hazor, one;
20シムロン・メロンの王が一人、 アクシャフの王が一人、
20The king of Shimron-meron, one; the king of Achshaph, one;
21タアナクの王が一人、 メギドの王が一人、
21The king of Taanach, one; the king of Megiddo, one;
22ケデシュの王が一人、 カルメルのヨクネアムの王が一人、
22The king of Kedesh, one; the king of Jokneam of Carmel, one;
23ドルの高地にいるドルの王が一人、 ギルガルのゴイムの王が一人、
23The king of Dor in the coast of Dor, one; the king of the nations of Gilgal, one;
24テルツァの王、一人。 王は全部で三十一人であった。
