1兄弟たち、たとえだれかが何らかの過ちに陥っても、聖霊に従うあなたがたは、柔和な心でその人を立ち直らせなさい。また、自分自身も誘惑されないように注意しなさい。
1Brethren, and if a man be overtaken in any fault, you, who are spiritual, instruct such a one in the spirit of meekness, considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
2互いの重荷を負い合いなさい。そうして、キリストの律法を全うしなさい。
2Bear ye one another’s burdens; and so you shall fulfill the law of Christ.
3何者でもないのに、自分を何者かであると思う人は、自分自身を欺いています。
3For if any man think himself to be some thing, whereas he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
4一人一人が自分の行いをよく確かめなさい。そうすれば、他人と比べることなく、自分自身のことだけを誇れるでしょう。
4But let every one prove his own work, and so he shall have glory in himself only, and not in another.
5一人一人が、自分の負うべき荷を負うことになるからです。
5For every one shall bear his own burden.
6みことばを教えられる人は、あらゆる良いものを教える人と分かち合いなさい。
6And let him that is instructed in the word, communicate to him that instructeth him, in all good things.
7思い違いをしてはなりません。神を侮ることはできません。人は、自分が蒔いたものを刈り取ることになるからです。
7Be not deceived, God is not mocked.
8自分の肉に蒔く者は、肉から滅びを刈り取ります。しかし、聖霊に蒔く者は、聖霊から永遠の命を刈り取ります。
8For what things a man shall sow, those also shall he reap. For he that soweth in his flesh, of the flesh also shall reap corruption. But he that soweth in the spirit, of the spirit shall reap life everlasting.
9良いことを行うのにくじけてはなりません。あきらめなければ、時が来て刈り取ることになるからです。
9And in doing good, let us not fail. For in due time we shall reap, not failing.
10ですから、機会がある限り、すべての人に良いことを行いましょう。特に、信仰の家族に対してそうしましょう。
10Therefore, whilst we have time, let us work good to all men, but especially to those who are of the household of the faith.
11私が自分の手で、どれほど大きな字を使ってあなたがたに書いているか、見てください。
11See what a letter I have written to you with my own hand.
12外面的なことで人によく見られようとする者たちが、あなたがたに割礼を強いています。それはただ、キリストの十字架のために迫害されないようにするためです。
12For as many as desire to please in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised, only that they may not suffer the persecution of the cross of Christ.
13割礼を受ける者たち自身も律法を守ってはいません。それでもあなたがたに割礼を受けさせたがるのは、あなたがたの肉体に刻まれた割礼を誇るためです。
13For neither they themselves who are circumcised, keep the law; but they will have you to be circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.
14しかし、私が誇ることなど、私たちの主イエス・キリストの十字架以外には断じてありません。この十字架によって、世は私に対して十字架につけられ、私も世に対して十字架につけられたのです。
14But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ; by whom the world is crucified to me, and I to the world.
15キリスト・イエスにあっては、割礼を受けていることにも、受けていないことにも意味はありません。大切なのは、新しい創造です。
15For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
16この原則に従って歩むすべての人に、また神のイスラエルに、平安とあわれみがありますように。
16And whosoever shall follow this rule, peace on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.
17これからは、だれも私を煩わせないでください。私は主イエスの焼き印の跡をこの身に帯びているからです。
17From henceforth let no man be troublesome to me; for I bear the marks of the Lord Jesus in my body.
18兄弟たち、私たちの主イエス・キリストの恵みが、あなたがたの霊と共にありますように。アーメン。
18The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brethren. Amen.
