1ALLELUIA. Lodate il Signore dal cielo; Lodatelo ne' luoghi altissimi.
1Hallelujah. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens; praise Him in the heights.
2Lodatelo voi , suoi Angeli tutti. Lodatelo voi , suoi eserciti.
2Praise ye Him, all His angels; praise ye Him, all His hosts.
3Lodatelo, sole e luna; Lodatelo voi , stelle lucenti tutte.
3Praise ye Him, sun and moon; praise Him, all ye stars of light.
4Lodatelo voi , cieli de' cieli; E voi , acque che siete di sopra al cielo.
4Praise Him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that are above the heavens.
5Tutte queste cose lodino il nome del Signore; Perciocchè al suo comandamento furono create.
5Let them praise the name of the LORD; for He commanded, and they were created.
6Ed egli le ha stabilite per sempre ed in perpetuo; Egli ne ha fatto uno statuto, il qual non trapasserà giammai.
6He hath also established them for ever and ever; He hath made a decree which shall not be transgressed.
7Lodate il Signore della terra. Balene, ed abissi tutti;
7Praise the LORD from the earth, ye sea-monsters, and all deeps;
8Fuoco, e gragnuola; neve, e vapore, E vento tempestoso ch'eseguisce la sua parola;
8Fire and hail, snow and vapour, stormy wind, fulfilling His word;
9Monti, e colli tutti; Alberi fruttiferi, e cedri tutti;
9Mountains and all hills, fruitful trees and all cedars;
10Fiere, e bestie domestiche tutte; Rettili, ed uccelli alati;
10Beasts and all cattle, creeping things and winged fowl;
11Re della terra, e popoli tutti; Principi, e rettori della terra tutti;
11Kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all judges of the earth;
12Giovani, ed anche vergini; Vecchi, e fanciulli;
12Both young men and maidens, old men and children;
13Lodino il Nome del Signore; Perciocchè il Nome di lui solo è innalzato; La sua maestà è sopra la terra, e sopra il cielo.
13Let them praise the name of the LORD, for His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven.
14Ed ha alzato un corno al suo popolo, Il che è materia di lode a tutti i suoi santi: A' figliuoli d'Israele, suo popolo prossimo. Alleluia.
14And He hath lifted up a horn for His people, a praise for all His saints, even for the children of Israel, a people near unto Him. Hallelujah.
