1These are the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that the Lord spoke to Moses in mount Sinai.
1耶和華在 西奈山 曉諭 摩西 的日子， 亞倫 和 摩西 的後代如下：
2And these the names of the sons of Aaron: his firstborn Nadab, then Abiu, and Eleazar, and Ithamar.
2亞倫 的兒子，長子名叫 拿答 ，還有 亞比戶 、 以利亞撒 、 以他瑪 。
3These the names of the sons of Aaron the priests that were anointed, and whose hands were filled and consecrated, to do the functions of priesthood.
3這是 亞倫 兒子的名字，都是受膏的祭司，是 摩西 叫他們承接聖職供祭司職分的。
4Now Nadab and Abiu died, without children, when they offered strange fire before the Lord, in the desert of Sinai: and Eleazar and Ithamar performed the priestly office in the presence of Aaron their father.
4拿答 、 亞比戶 在 西奈 的曠野向耶和華獻凡火的時候就死在耶和華面前了。他們也沒有兒子。 以利亞撒 、 以他瑪 在他們的父親 亞倫 面前供祭司的職分。
5And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

6Bring the tribe of Levi, and make them stand in the sight of Aaron the priest to minister to him, and let them watch,

7And observe whatsoever appertaineth to the service of the multitude before the tabernacle of the testimony,
7替他和會眾在會幕前守所吩咐的，辦理帳幕的事。
8And let them keep the vessels of the tabernacle, serving in the ministry thereof.
8又要看守會幕的器具，並守所吩咐 以色列 人的，辦理帳幕的事。
9And thou shalt give the Levites for a gift,
9你要將 利未 人給 亞倫 和他的兒子，因為他們是從 以色列 人中選出來給他的。
10To Aaron and to his sons, to whom they are delivered by the children of Israel. But thou shalt appoint Aaron and his sons over the service of priesthood. The stranger that approacheth to minister, shall be put to death.
10你要囑咐 亞倫 和他的兒子謹守自己祭司的職任。近前來的外人必被治死。」
11And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
11耶和華曉諭 摩西 說：
12I have taken the Levites from the children of Israel, for every firstborn that openeth the womb among the children of Israel, and the Levites shall be mine.
12「我從 以色列 人中揀選了 利未 人，代替 以色列 人一切頭生的； 利未 人要歸我。
13For every firstborn is mine: since I struck the firstborn in the land of Egypt: I have sanctified to myself whatsoever is firstborn in Israel both of man and beast, they are mine: I am the Lord.
13因為凡頭生的是我的；我在 埃及 地擊殺一切頭生的那日就把 以色列 中一切頭生的，連人帶牲畜都分別為聖歸我；他們定要屬我。我是耶和華。」
14And the Lord spoke to Moses in the desert of Sinai, saying:
14耶和華在 西奈 的曠野曉諭 摩西 說：
15Number the sons of Levi by the houses of their fathers and their families, every male from one month and upward.
15「你要照 利未 人的宗族、家室數點他們。凡一個月以外的男子都要數點。」
16Moses numbered them as the Lord had commanded.
16於是 摩西 照耶和華所吩咐的數點他們。
17And there were found sons of Levi by their names, Gerson and Caath and Merari.
17利未 眾子的名字是 革順 、 哥轄 、 米拉利 。
18The sons of Gerson: Lebni and Semei.
18革順 的兒子，按着家室，是 立尼 、 示每 。
19The sons of Caath: Amram, and Jesaar, Hebron and Oziel:
19哥轄 的兒子，按着家室，是 暗蘭 、 以斯哈 、 希伯倫 、 烏薛 。
20The sons of Merari: Moholi and Musi.
20米拉利 的兒子，按着家室，是 抹利 、 母示 。這些按着宗族是 利未 人的家室。
21Of Gerson were two families, the Lebnites, and the Semeites:
21屬 革順 的，有 立尼 族、 示每 族。這是 革順 的二族。
22Of which were numbered, people of the male sex from one month and upward, seven thousand five hundred.
22其中被數、從一個月以外所有的男子共有七千五百名。
23These shall pitch behind the tabernacle on the west,
23這 革順 的二族要在帳幕後西邊安營。
24Under their prince Eliasaph the son of Lael.
24拉伊勒 的兒子 以利雅薩 作 革順 人宗族的首領。
25And their charge shall be in the tabernacle of the covenant:
25革順 的子孫在會幕中所要看守的，就是帳幕和罩棚，並罩棚的蓋與會幕的門簾，
26The tabernacle itself and the cover thereof, the hanging that is drawn before the doors of the tabernacle of the covenant, and the curtains of the court: the hanging also that is hanged in the entry of the court of the tabernacle, and whatsoever belongeth to the rite of the altar, the cords of the tabernacle, and all the furniture thereof.
26院子的帷子和門簾（院子是圍帳幕和壇的），並一切使用的繩子。
27Of the kindred of Caath come the families of the Amramites and Jesaarites and Hebronites and Ozielites. These are the families of the Caathites reckoned up by their names:
27屬 哥轄 的，有 暗蘭 族、 以斯哈 族、 希伯倫 族、 烏薛 族。這是 哥轄 的諸族。
28All of the male sex from one month and upward, eight thousand six hundred: they shall have the guard of the sanctuary,
28按所有男子的數目，從一個月以外看守聖所的，共有八千六百名。
29And shall camp on the south side.
29哥轄 兒子的諸族要在帳幕的南邊安營。
30And their prince shall be Elisaphan the son of Oziel:
30烏薛 的兒子 以利撒反 作 哥轄 宗族家室的首領。
31And they shall keep the ark, and the table and the candlestick, the altars, and the vessels of the sanctuary, wherewith they minister, and the veil, and all the furniture of this kind.
31他們所要看守的是 約 櫃、桌子、燈臺、兩座壇與聖所內使用的器皿，並簾子和一切使用之物。
32And the prince of the princes of the Levites, Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, shall be over them that watch for the guard of the sanctuary.
32祭司 亞倫 的兒子 以利亞撒 作 利未 人眾首領的領袖，要監察那些看守聖所的人。
33And of Merari are the families of the Moholites, and Musites, reckoned up by their names:

34All of the male kind from one month and upward, six thousand two hundred.
34他們被數的，按所有男子的數目，從一個月以外的，共有六千二百名。
35Their prince Suriel the son of Abihaiel: they shall camp on the north side.
35亞比亥 的兒子 蘇列 作 米拉利 二宗族的首領。他們要在帳幕的北邊安營。
36Under their custody shall be the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars, and the pillars and their sockets, and all things that pertain to this kind of service:
36米拉利 子孫的職分是看守帳幕的板、閂、柱子、帶卯的座，和帳幕一切所使用的器具，
37And the pillars of the court round about with their sockets, and the pins with their cords.
37院子四圍的柱子、帶卯的座、橛子，和繩子。
38Before the tabernacle of the covenant, that is to say on the east side, shall Moses and Aaron camp, with their sons, having the custody of the sanctuary, in the midst of the children of Israel. What stranger soever cometh unto it, shall be put to death.
38在帳幕前東邊，向日出之地安營的是 摩西 、 亞倫 ，和 亞倫 的兒子。他們看守聖所，替 以色列 人守 耶和華 所吩咐的。近前來的外人必被治死。
39All the Levites, that Moses and Aaron numbered according to the precept of the Lord, by their families, of the male kind from one month and upward, were twenty-two thousand.
39凡被數的 利未 人，就是 摩西 、 亞倫 照耶和華吩咐所數的，按着家室，從一個月以外的男子，共有二萬二千名。
40And the Lord said to Moses: Number the firstborn of the male sex of the children of Israel, from one month and upward, and thou shalt take the sum of them.
40耶和華對 摩西 說：「你要從 以色列 人中數點一個月以外、凡頭生的男子，把他們的名字記下。
41And thou shalt take the Levites to me for all the firstborn of the children of Israel, I am the Lord: and their cattle for all the firstborn of the cattle of the children of Israel:
41我是耶和華。你要揀選 利未 人歸我，代替 以色列 人所有頭生的，也取 利未 人的牲畜代替 以色列 所有頭生的牲畜。」
42Moses reckoned up, as the Lord had commanded, the firstborn of the children of Israel:
42摩西 就照耶和華所吩咐的把 以色列 人頭生的都數點了。
43And the males by their names, from one month and upward, were twenty-two thousand two hundred and seventy-three.
43按人名的數目，從一個月以外、凡頭生的男子，共有二萬二千二百七十三名。
44And the Lord spoke to Moses, saving:
44耶和華曉諭 摩西 說：
45Take the Levites for the firstborn of the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites for their cattle, and the Levites shall be mine. I am the Lord.
45「你揀選 利未 人代替 以色列 人所有頭生的，也取 利未 人的牲畜代替 以色列 人的牲畜。 利未 人要歸我；我是耶和華。
46But for the price of the two hundred and seventy-three, of the firstborn of the children of Israel, that exceed the number of the Levites,
46以色列 人中頭生的男子比 利未 人多二百七十三個，必當將他們贖出來。
47Thou shalt take five sides for every head, according to the weight of the sanctuary. A sicle hath twenty obols.
47你要按人丁，照聖所的平，每人取贖銀五舍客勒（一舍客勒是二十季拉），
48And then shalt give the money to Aaron and his sons, the price of them that are above.
48把那多餘之人的贖銀交給 亞倫 和他的兒子。」
49Moses therefore took the money of them that were above, and whom they had redeemed from the Levites,
49於是 摩西 從那被 利未 人所贖以外的人取了贖銀。
50For the firstborn of the children of Israel, one thousand three hundred and sixty-five sicles, according to the weight of the sanctuary,
50從 以色列 人頭生的所取之銀，按聖所的平，有一千三百六十五 舍客勒 。
51And gave it to Aaron and his sons, according to the word that the Lord had commanded him.
51摩西 照耶和華的話把這贖銀給 亞倫 和他的兒子，正如耶和華所吩咐的。
