1在 安提阿 的教會中，有幾位先知和教師，就是 巴拿巴 和稱呼 尼結 的 西面 、 古利奈 人 路求 ，與分封之王 希律 同養的 馬念 ，並 掃羅 。
1Now there were in the church which was at Antioch, prophets and doctors, among whom was Barnabas, and Simon who was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manahen, who was the foster brother of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
2他們事奉主、禁食的時候，聖靈說：「要為我分派 巴拿巴 和 掃羅 ，去做我召他們所做的工。」
2And as they were ministering to the Lord, and fasting, the Holy Ghost said to them: Separate me Saul and Barnabas, for the work whereunto I have taken them.
3於是禁食禱告，按手在他們 頭 上，就打發他們去了。
3Then they, fasting and praying, and imposing their hands upon them, sent them away.
4他們既被聖靈差遣，就下到 西流基 ，從那裏坐船往 塞浦路斯 去。
4So they being sent by the Holy Ghost, went to Seleucia: and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.
5到了 撒拉米 ，就在 猶太 人各會堂裏傳講上帝的道，也有 約翰 作他們的幫手。
5And when they were come to Salamina, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews. And they had John also in the ministry.
6經過全島，直到 帕弗 ，在那裏遇見一個有法術、假充先知的 猶太 人，名叫 巴‧耶穌 。
6And when they had gone through the whole island, as far as Paphos, they found a certain man, a magician, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Bar-jesu:
7這人常和方伯 士求‧保羅 同在。 士求‧保羅 是個通達人，他請了 巴拿巴 和 掃羅 來，要聽上帝的道。
7Who was with the proconsul Sergius Paulus, a prudent man. He sending for Barnabas and Saul, desired to hear the word of God.
8只是那行法術的 以呂馬 （這名翻出來就是行法術的意思）敵擋使徒，要叫方伯不信真道。
8But Elymas the magician (for so his name is interpreted) withstood them, seeking to turn away the proconsul from the faith.
9掃羅 又名 保羅 ，被聖靈充滿，定睛看他，
9Then Saul, otherwise Paul, filled with the Holy Ghost, looking upon him,
10說：「你這充滿各樣詭詐奸惡，魔鬼的兒子，眾善的仇敵，你混亂主的正道還不止住嗎？
10Said: O full of all guile, and of all deceit, child of the devil, enemy of all justice, thou ceasest not to pervert the right ways of the Lord.
11現在主的手加在你身上，你要瞎眼，暫且不見日光。」他的眼睛立刻昏蒙黑暗，四下裏求人拉着手領他。
11And now behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a time. And immediately there fell a mist and darkness upon him, and going about, he sought some one to lead him by the hand.
12方伯看見所做的事，很希奇主的道，就信了。
12Then the proconsul, when he had seen what was done, believed, admiring at the doctrine of the Lord.
13保羅 和他的同人從 帕弗 開船，來到 旁非利亞 的 別加 ， 約翰 就離開他們，回 耶路撒冷 去。
13Now when Paul and they that were with him had sailed from Paphos, they came to Perge in Pamphylia. And John departing from them, returned to Jerusalem.
14他們離了 別加 往前行，來到 彼西底 的 安提阿 ，在安息日進會堂坐下。
14But they passing through Perge, came to Antioch in Pisidia: and entering into the synagogue on the sabbath day, they sat down.
15讀完了律法和先知 的書 ，管會堂的叫人過去，對他們說：「二位兄台，若有甚麼勸勉眾人的話，請說。」
15And after the reading of the law and the prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent to them, saying: Ye men, brethren, if you have any word of exhortation to make to the people, speak.
16保羅 就站起來，舉手，說：「 以色列 人和一切敬畏上帝的人，請聽。
16Then Paul rising up, and with his hand bespeaking silence, said: Ye men of Israel, and you that fear God, give ear.
17這 以色列 民的上帝揀選了我們的祖宗，當民寄居 埃及 的時候抬舉他們，用大能的手領他們出來；
17The God of the people of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they were sojourners in the land of Egypt, and with an high arm brought them out from thence,
18又在曠野容忍他們，約有四十年。
18And for the space of forty years endured their manners in the desert.
19既滅了 迦南 地七族的人，就把那地分給他們為業；
19And destroying seven nations in the land of Chanaan, divided their land among them, by lot,
20此後給他們設立士師，約有四百五十年，直到先知 撒母耳 的時候。
20As it were, after four hundred and fifty years: and after these things, he gave unto them judges, until Samuel the prophet.
21後來他們求一個王，上帝就將 便雅憫 支派中 基士 的兒子 掃羅 ，給他們作王四十年。
21And after that they desired a king: and God gave them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, forty years.
22既廢了 掃羅 ，就選立 大衛 作他們的王，又為他作見證說：『我尋得 耶西 的兒子 大衛 ，他是合我心意的人，凡事要遵行我的旨意。』
22And when he had removed him, he raised them up David to be king: to whom giving testimony, he said: I have found David, the son of Jesse, a man according to my own heart, who shall do all my wills.
23從這人的後裔中，上帝已經照着所應許的，為 以色列 人立了一位救主，就是耶穌。
23Of this man’s seed God according to his promise, hath raised up to Israel a Saviour, Jesus:
24在他沒有出來以先， 約翰 向 以色列 眾民宣講悔改的洗禮。
24John first preaching, before his coming, the baptism of penance to all the people of Israel.
25約翰 將行盡他的程途說：『你們以為我是誰？我不是 基督 ；只是有一位在我以後來的，我解他腳上的鞋帶也是不配的。』
25And when John was fulfilling his course, he said: I am not he, whom you think me to be: but behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of his feet I am not worthy to loose.
26「弟兄們， 亞伯拉罕 的子孫和你們中間敬畏上帝的人哪，這救世的道是傳給我們的。
26Men, brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you fear God, to you the word of this salvation is sent.
27耶路撒冷 居住的人和他們的官長，因為不認識基督，也不明白每安息日所讀眾先知的書，就把基督定了死罪，正應了先知的預言；
27For they that inhabited Jerusalem, and the rulers thereof, not knowing him, nor the voices of the prophets, which are read every sabbath, judging him have fulfilled them.
28雖然查不出他有當死的罪來，還是求 彼拉多 殺他；
28And finding no cause of death in him, they desired of Pilate, that they might kill him.
29既成就了 經上 指着他所記的一切話，就把他從木頭上取下來，放在墳墓裏。
29And when they had fulfilled all things that were written of him, taking him down from the tree, they laid him in a sepulchre.
30上帝卻叫他從死裏復活。
30But God raised him up from the dead the third day:
31那從 加利利 同他上 耶路撒冷 的人多日看見他，這些人如今在民間是他的見證。
31Who was seen for many days, by them who came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who to this present are his witnesses to the people.
32我們也報好信息給你們，就是那應許祖宗的話，
32And we declare unto you, that the promise which was made to our fathers,
33上帝已經向我們這作兒女的應驗，叫耶穌復活了。正如詩篇第二篇上記着說： 你是我的兒子， 我今日生你。
33This same God hath fulfilled to our children, raising up Jesus, as in the second psalm also is written: Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.
34論到上帝叫他從死裏復活，不再歸於朽壞，就這樣說： 我必將 所應許 大衛 那聖潔、 可靠的 恩典 賜給你們。
34And to shew that he raised him up from the dead, not to return now any more to corruption, he said thus: I will give you the holy things of David faithful.
35又有一篇上說： 你必不叫你的聖者見朽壞。
35And therefore, in another place also, he saith: Thou shalt not suffer thy holy one to see corruption.
36「 大衛 在世的時候遵行了上帝的旨意，就睡了，歸到他祖宗那裏，已見朽壞；
36For David, when he had served in his generation, according to the will of God, slept: and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption.
37惟獨上帝所復活的，他並未見朽壞。
37But he whom God hath raised from the dead, saw no corruption.
38所以，弟兄們，你們當曉得：赦罪的道是由這人傳給你們的。
38Be it known therefore to you, men, brethren, that through him forgiveness of sins is preached to you: and from all the things, from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.
39你們靠 摩西 的律法，在一切不得稱義的事上信靠這人，就都得稱義了。
39In him every one that believeth, is justified.
40所以，你們務要小心，免得先知書上所說的臨到你們。
40Beware, therefore, lest that come upon you which is spoken in the prophets:
41主 說 ： 你們這輕慢的人要觀看，要驚奇，要滅亡； 因為在你們的時候，我行一件事， 雖有人告訴你們， 你們總是不信。」
41Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which you will not believe, if any man shall tell it you.
42他們出會堂的時候，眾人請他們到下安息日再講這話給他們聽。
42And as they went out, they desired them, that on the next sabbath, they would speak unto them these words.
43散會以後， 猶太 人和敬虔進 猶太 教的人多有跟從 保羅 、 巴拿巴 的。二人對他們講道，勸他們務要恆久在上帝的恩中。
43And when the synagogue was broken up, many of the Jews, and of the strangers who served God, followed Paul and Barnabas: who speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.
44到下安息日，合城的人幾乎都來聚集，要聽上帝的道。
44But the next sabbath day, the whole city almost came together, to hear the word of God.
45但 猶太 人看見人這樣多，就滿心嫉妒，硬駁 保羅 所說的話，並且毀謗。
45And the Jews seeing the multitudes, were filled with envy, and contradicted those things which were said by Paul, blaspheming.
46保羅 和 巴拿巴 放膽說：「上帝的道先講給你們原是應當的；只因你們棄絕這道，斷定自己不配得永生，我們就轉向外邦人去。
46Then Paul and Barnabas said boldly: To you it behoved us first to speak the word of God: but because you reject it, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold we turn to the Gentiles.
47因為主曾這樣吩咐我們說： 我已經立你作外邦人的光， 叫你施行救恩，直到地極。」
47For so the Lord hath commanded us: I have set thee to be the light of the Gentiles; that thou mayest be for salvation unto the utmost part of the earth.
48外邦人聽見這話，就歡喜了，讚美上帝的道；凡預定得永生的人都信了。
48And the Gentiles hearing it, were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to life everlasting, believed.
49於是主的道傳遍了那一帶地方。
49And the word of the Lord was published throughout the whole country.
50但 猶太 人挑唆虔敬、尊貴的婦女和城內有名望的人，逼迫 保羅 、 巴拿巴 ，將他們趕出境外。
50But the Jews stirred up religious and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas: and cast them out of their coasts.
51二人對着眾人跺下腳上的塵土，就往 以哥念 去了。
51But they, shaking off the dust of their feet against them, came to Iconium.
52門徒滿心喜樂，又被聖靈充滿。
52And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Ghost.
