1亞伯拉罕 的後裔， 大衛 的子孫，耶穌基督的家譜：
1The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham:
2亞伯拉罕 生 以撒 ； 以撒 生 雅各 ； 雅各 生 猶大 和他的弟兄；
2Abraham begot Isaac. And Isaac begot Jacob. And Jacob begot Judas and his brethren.
3猶大 從 她瑪 氏生 法勒斯 和 謝拉 ； 法勒斯 生 希斯崙 ； 希斯崙 生 亞蘭 ；
3And Judas begot Phares and Zara of Thamar. And Phares begot Esron. And Esron begot Aram.
4亞蘭 生 亞米拿達 ； 亞米拿達 生 拿順 ； 拿順 生 撒門 ；
4And Aram begot Aminadab. And Aminadab begot Naasson. And Naasson begot Salmon.
5撒門 從 喇合 氏生 波阿斯 ； 波阿斯 從 路得 氏生 俄備得 ； 俄備得 生 耶西 ；
5And Salmon begot Booz of Rahab. And Booz begot Obed of Ruth. And Obed begot Jesse.
6耶西 生 大衛 王。 大衛 從 烏利亞 的妻子生 所羅門 ；
6And Jesse begot David the king. And David the king begot Solomon, of her that had been the wife of Urias.
7所羅門 生 羅波安 ； 羅波安 生 亞比雅 ； 亞比雅 生 亞撒 ；
7And Solomon begot Roboam. And Roboam begot Abia. And Abia begot Asa.
8亞撒 生 約沙法 ； 約沙法 生 約蘭 ； 約蘭 生 烏西雅 ；
8And Asa begot Josaphat. And Josaphat begot Joram. And Joram begot Ozias.
9烏西雅 生 約坦 ； 約坦 生 亞哈斯 ； 亞哈斯 生 希西家 ；
9And Ozias begot Joatham. And Joatham begot Achaz. And Achaz begot Ezechias.
10希西家 生 瑪拿西 ； 瑪拿西 生 亞們 ； 亞們 生 約西亞 ；
10And Ezechias begot Manasses. And Manesses begot Amon. And Amon begot Josias.
11百姓被遷到 巴比倫 的時候， 約西亞 生 耶哥尼雅 和他的弟兄。
11And Josias begot Jechonias and his brethren in the transmigration of Babylon.
12遷到 巴比倫 之後， 耶哥尼雅 生 撒拉鐵 ； 撒拉鐵 生 所羅巴伯 ；
12And after the transmigration of Babylon, Jechonias begot Salathiel. And Salathiel begot Zorobabel.
13所羅巴伯 生 亞比玉 ； 亞比玉 生 以利亞敬 ； 以利亞敬 生 亞所 ；
13And Zorobabel begot Abiud. And Abiud begot Eliacim. And Eliacim begot Azor.
14亞所 生 撒督 ； 撒督 生 亞金 ； 亞金 生 以律 ；
14And Azor begot Sadoc. And Sadoc begot Achim. And Achim begot Eliud.
15以律 生 以利亞撒 ； 以利亞撒 生 馬但 ； 馬但 生 雅各 ；
15And Eliud begot Eleazar. And Eleazar begot Mathan. And Mathan begot Jacob.
16雅各 生 約瑟 ，就是 馬利亞 的丈夫。那稱為基督的耶穌是從 馬利亞 生的。
16And Jacob begot Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
17這樣，從 亞伯拉罕 到 大衛 共有十四代；從 大衛 到遷至 巴比倫 的時候也有十四代；從遷至 巴比倫 的時候到基督又有十四代。
17So all the generations, from Abraham to David, are fourteen generations. And from David to the transmigration of Babylon, are fourteen generations: and from the transmigration of Babylon to Christ are fourteen generations.
18耶穌基督降生的事記在下面：他母親 馬利亞 已經許配了 約瑟 ，還沒有迎娶， 馬利亞 就從聖靈懷了孕。
18Now the generation of Christ was in this wise. When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child, of the Holy Ghost.
19她丈夫 約瑟 是個義人，不願意明明地羞辱她，想要暗暗地把她休了。
19Whereupon Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing publicly to expose her, was minded to put her away privately.
20正思念這事的時候，有主的使者向他夢中顯現， 說 ：「 大衛 的子孫 約瑟 ，不要怕！只管娶過你的妻子 馬利亞 來，因她所懷的孕是從聖靈來的。
20But while he thought on these things, behold the angel of the Lord appeared to him in his sleep, saying: Joseph, son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife, for that which is conceived in her, is of the Holy Ghost.
21她將要生一個兒子，你要給他起名叫耶穌，因他要將自己的百姓從罪惡裏救出來。」
21And she shall bring forth a son: and thou shalt call his name JESUS. For he shall save his people from their sins.
22這一切的事成就是要應驗主藉先知所說的話，
22Now all this was done that it might be fulfilled which the Lord spoke by the prophet, saying:
23說： 必有童女懷孕生子； 人要稱他的名為 以馬內利 。 （ 以馬內利 翻出來就是「上帝與我們同在」。）
23Behold a virgin shall be with child, and bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
24約瑟 醒了，起來，就遵着主使者的吩咐把妻子娶過來；
24And Joseph rising up from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him, and took unto him his wife.
25只是沒有和她同房，等她生了兒子，就給他起名叫耶穌。
25And he knew her not till she brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.
