1耶和华啊，求你拯救我脱离凶恶的人， 保护我脱离强暴的人！
1(140-1) For the Leader. A Psalm of David. (140-2) Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man; preserve me from the violent man;
2他们心中图谋奸恶， 常常聚集要争战。
2(140-3) Who devise evil things in their heart; every day do they stir up wars.
3他们使舌头尖利如蛇， 嘴里有虺蛇的毒气。 （细拉）
3(140-4) They have sharpened their tongue like a serpent; vipers' venom is under their lips. Selah
4耶和华啊，求你拯救我脱离恶人的手， 保护我脱离强暴的人！ 他们图谋推我跌倒。
4(140-5) Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to make my steps slip.
5骄傲人为我暗设网罗和绳索； 他们在路旁铺下网，设下圈套。 （细拉）
5(140-6) The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. Selah
6我曾对耶和华说：你是我的 神。 耶和华啊，求你留心听我恳求的声音！
6(140-7) I have said unto the LORD: 'Thou art my God'; give ear, O LORD, unto the voice of my supplications.
7主—耶和华、我救恩的力量啊， 在争战的日子，你遮蔽了我的头。
7(140-8) O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, who hast screened my head in the day of battle,
8耶和华啊，求你不要遂恶人的心愿； 不要成就他们的计谋， 恐怕 他们自高。 （细拉）
8(140-9) Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked; further not his evil device, so that they exalt themselves. Selah
9至于那些昂首围困我的人， 愿他们嘴唇的奸恶陷害自己！
9(140-10) As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.
10愿火炭落在他们身上！ 愿他们被丢在火中， 抛在深坑里，不能再起来。
10(140-11) Let burning coals fall upon them; let them be cast into the fire, into deep pits, that they rise not up again.
11说恶言的人在地上必坚立不住； 祸患必猎取强暴的人，将他打倒。
11(140-12) A slanderer shall not be established in the earth; the violent and evil man shall be hunted with thrust upon thrust.
12我知道耶和华必为困苦人伸冤， 必为穷乏人辨屈。
12(140-13) I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the poor, and the right of the needy.
13义人必要称赞你的名； 正直人必住在你面前。
13(140-14) Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto Thy name; the upright shall dwell in Thy presence.
