1เมื่อครบ 20 ปีที่โซโลมอนใช้สร้างพระวิหารของพระยาห์เวห์และวังของตน
1And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, wherein Solomon had built the house of the LORD, and his own house,
2เขาสร้างเมืองต่าง ๆ ที่ฮูรามมอบให้ แล้วให้ชาวอิสราเอลไปตั้งถิ่นฐานในเมืองเหล่านั้น
2that the cities which Huram had given to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.
3โซโลมอนยกไปยังฮามัทโศบาห์และมีชัยเหนือเมืองนั้น
3And Solomon went to Hamath-zobah, and prevailed against it.
4เขาสร้างเมืองทัดโมร์ในถิ่นทุรกันดาร และสร้างเมืองเก็บเสบียงทั้งหมดในเขตฮามัท
4And he built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the store-cities, which he built in Hamath.
5เขาสร้างเบธโฮโรนบนและเบธโฮโรนล่างให้เป็นเมืองป้อมปราการ มีกำแพง ประตู และคานขวางประตู
5Also he built Beth-horon the upper, and Beth-horon the nether, fortified cities, with walls, gates, and bars;
6ทั้งยังสร้างบาอาลัท เมืองเก็บเสบียงทั้งหมด เมืองสำหรับรถรบและทหารม้า ตลอดจนสิ่งอื่นใดที่โซโลมอนปรารถนาจะสร้างตามความพอใจของตนในเยรูซาเล็ม เลบานอน และทั่วดินแดนที่เขาปกครอง
6and Baalath, and all the store-cities that Solomon had, and all the cities for his chariots, and the cities for his horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build for his pleasure in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.
7ยังมีชาวฮิตไทต์ อาโมไรต์ เปริสซี ฮีไวต์ และเยบุสเหลืออยู่ คนเหล่านี้ไม่ใช่ชาวอิสราเอล
7As for all the people that were left of the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, who were not of Israel;
8ลูกหลานของพวกเขาที่ยังอยู่ในแผ่นดิน ซึ่งชาวอิสราเอลไม่ได้กำจัดให้หมด โซโลมอนเกณฑ์มาเป็นแรงงานบังคับ และยังเป็นเช่นนั้นจนถึงทุกวันนี้
8of their children that were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel consumed not, of them did Solomon raise a levy of bondservants, unto this day.

9But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no servants for his work; but they were men of war, and chief of his captains, and rulers of his chariots and of his horsemen.

10And these were the chief officers of king Solomon, even two hundred and fifty, that bore rule over the people.
11โซโลมอนพาบุตรสาวฟาโรห์ออกจากนครดาวิดไปอยู่ในวังที่เขาสร้างให้นาง เขากล่าวว่า “ภรรยาของข้าจะไม่อยู่ในวังของดาวิดกษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอล เพราะสถานที่ที่หีบของพระยาห์เวห์เคยเข้าไปนั้นศักดิ์สิทธิ์”
11And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her; for he said: 'No wife of mine shall dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy, whereunto the ark of the LORD hath come.'
12โซโลมอนถวายเครื่องบูชาเผาทั้งตัวแด่พระยาห์เวห์บนแท่นบูชาของพระองค์ที่เขาสร้างไว้หน้ามุขพระวิหาร
12Then Solomon offered burnt-offerings unto the LORD on the altar of the LORD, which he had built before the porch,
13เขาถวายตามหน้าที่ประจำวันและตามที่โมเสสสั่งไว้ ทั้งในวันสะบาโต วันขึ้นเดือนใหม่ และเทศกาลที่กำหนดปีละ 3 ครั้ง คือเทศกาลขนมปังไร้เชื้อ เทศกาลสัปดาห์ และเทศกาลอยู่เพิง
13even as the duty of every day required, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the appointed seasons, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.
14เขาจัดหมวดปุโรหิตให้ปฏิบัติหน้าที่ และจัดชาวเลวีให้สรรเสริญพระเจ้าและช่วยงานปุโรหิตตามหน้าที่ประจำวัน ทั้งจัดคนเฝ้าประตูเป็นหมวดตามประตูต่าง ๆ โดยทำตามระเบียบที่ดาวิดบิดาของเขาผู้เป็นคนของพระเจ้าได้วางไว้
14And he appointed, according to the ordinance of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise, and to minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required; the doorkeepers also by their courses at every gate; for so had David the man of God commanded.
15พวกเขาไม่เบี่ยงเบนจากคำสั่งของกษัตริย์ที่ให้แก่ปุโรหิตและชาวเลวี ไม่ว่าเรื่องงานใดหรือเรื่องคลังสมบัติ
15And they departed not from the commandment of the king unto the priests and Levites concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures.
16งานทุกอย่างของโซโลมอนดำเนินครบถ้วนตั้งแต่วันที่วางฐานรากพระวิหารของพระยาห์เวห์จนสร้างเสร็จ พระวิหารจึงสำเร็จสมบูรณ์
16So all the work of Solomon was set in order from the day of the foundation of the house of the LORD, and until it was finished. So the house of the LORD was perfected.
17ต่อมาโซโลมอนไปยังเอซีโอนเกเบอร์และเอโลท เมืองชายทะเลในแผ่นดินเอโดม
17Then went Solomon to Ezion-geber, and to Eloth, on the sea-shore in the land of Edom.
18ฮูรามส่งเรือพร้อมคนที่ชำนาญการเดินเรือมาให้โซโลมอน พวกเขาเดินทางกับคนของโซโลมอนไปยังโอฟีร์ แล้วนำทองคำ 450 ตะลันต์ จากที่นั่นมาถวายกษัตริย์โซโลมอน
18And Huram sent him by the hands of his servants ships, and servants that had knowledge of the sea; and they came with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and fetched from thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought them to king Solomon.
