1If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
1ถ้าเช่นนั้น เมื่อพวกคุณฟื้นขึ้นพร้อมกับพระคริสต์แล้ว จงแสวงหาสิ่งที่อยู่เบื้องบน ที่ซึ่งพระคริสต์นั่งอยู่ที่ขวามือของพระเจ้า
2Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
2จงมุ่งความคิดไปที่สิ่งที่อยู่เบื้องบน ไม่ใช่สิ่งที่อยู่บนแผ่นดินโลก
3For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
3เพราะพวกคุณตายแล้ว และชีวิตของพวกคุณซ่อนอยู่กับพระคริสต์ในพระเจ้า
4When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
4เมื่อพระคริสต์ผู้เป็นชีวิตของเราปรากฏ พวกคุณก็จะปรากฏพร้อมกับพระองค์ในพระสิริด้วย
5Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
5เพราะฉะนั้น จงทำให้อวัยวะของพวกคุณที่อยู่บนแผ่นดินโลกตายไป: การผิดศีลธรรมทางเพศ ความไม่บริสุทธิ์ ความใคร่เสื่อมทราม ความปรารถนาชั่ว และความโลภ ซึ่งก็คือการบูชารูปเคารพ
6For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
6เพราะสิ่งเหล่านี้ พระพิโรธของพระเจ้าจึงมาเหนือบรรดาลูกแห่งความไม่เชื่อฟัง
7In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
7พวกคุณเองก็เคยดำเนินเช่นนั้น เมื่อยังใช้ชีวิตอยู่ในสิ่งเหล่านี้
8But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
8แต่บัดนี้ พวกคุณต้องทิ้งสิ่งเหล่านี้ทั้งหมด ได้แก่ ความโกรธ ความเดือดดาล ความมุ่งร้าย การใส่ร้าย และคำพูดหยาบคายจากปากของพวกคุณ
9Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
9อย่าโกหกกัน เพราะพวกคุณได้ถอดคนเก่าพร้อมกับการกระทำของคนเก่านั้นออกแล้ว
10And have put on the new man , which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
10และได้สวมคนใหม่ ซึ่งกำลังได้รับการเปลี่ยนใหม่ในความรู้ ตามภาพของพระผู้สร้างเขา
11Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
11ในคนใหม่นั้นไม่มีทั้งกรีกหรือยิว ไม่มีพวกเข้าสุหนัตหรือพวกไม่เข้าสุหนัต ไม่มีคนป่าเถื่อนหรือชาวไซเธีย ไม่มีทาสหรือคนเสรี แต่พระคริสต์เป็นทุกสิ่งและอยู่ในทุกคน
12Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
12เพราะฉะนั้น ในฐานะคนที่พระเจ้าเลือก ผู้บริสุทธิ์และเป็นที่รัก จงสวมใจที่เต็มด้วยความเมตตาสงสาร ความกรุณา ความไม่ถือตัว ความถ่อมตน และความอดทน
13Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
13จงอดกลั้นต่อกันและยกโทษให้กัน ถ้าใครมีข้อขุ่นข้องใจกับอีกคนหนึ่ง พระคริสต์ยกโทษให้พวกคุณอย่างไร พวกคุณก็จงทำอย่างนั้น
14And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
14เหนือสิ่งเหล่านี้ทั้งหมด จงดำเนินชีวิตด้วยความรัก ซึ่งเป็นสายสัมพันธ์แห่งความสมบูรณ์
15And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
15และจงให้สันติสุขของพระเจ้าครองอยู่ในหัวใจของพวกคุณ พวกคุณได้รับการเรียกมาสู่สันติสุขนี้ในร่างกายเดียว และจงมีใจขอบคุณ
16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
16จงให้ถ้อยคำของพระคริสต์อยู่ในพวกคุณอย่างมากมาย สอนและตักเตือนกันด้วยปัญญาทุกด้าน ด้วยเพลงสดุดี บทเพลงสรรเสริญ และบทเพลงทางวิญญาณ ร้องเพลงด้วยพระคุณในหัวใจถวายองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า
17And what soever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
17ไม่ว่าพวกคุณจะทำอะไรด้วยคำพูดหรือการกระทำ จงทำทุกอย่างในนามของพระเยซูองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พร้อมกับขอบคุณพระเจ้าพระบิดาโดยพระองค์
18Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
18ภรรยาทั้งหลาย จงยอมอ่อนน้อมต่อสามีของตน ตามที่เหมาะสมในองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า
19Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
19สามีทั้งหลาย จงรักภรรยาของตน และอย่ามีใจขมขื่นต่อพวกเธอ
20Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
20ลูกทั้งหลาย จงเชื่อฟังพ่อแม่ในทุกเรื่อง เพราะสิ่งนี้เป็นที่พอใจขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า
21Fathers, provoke not your children to anger , lest they be discouraged.
21พ่อทั้งหลาย อย่ายั่วยุลูกของตน เพื่อพวกเขาจะไม่ท้อใจ
22Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:
22ทาสทั้งหลาย จงเชื่อฟังนายของตนตามเนื้อหนังในทุกเรื่อง ไม่ใช่รับใช้เฉพาะเวลาที่นายมองอยู่เหมือนคนที่เอาใจมนุษย์ แต่จงทำด้วยใจจริงที่ไม่แบ่งแยก และยำเกรงพระเจ้า
23And what soever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
23ไม่ว่าพวกคุณจะทำอะไร จงทำด้วยสุดใจ เหมือนทำถวายองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ไม่ใช่เพื่อมนุษย์
24Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
24เพราะพวกคุณรู้ว่า จะได้รับรางวัลเป็นมรดกจากองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า เพราะพวกคุณรับใช้พระคริสต์องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า
25But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
25ส่วนผู้ที่ทำผิดจะได้รับผลตอบแทนจากความผิดที่ตนทำ และไม่มีการลำเอียงเข้าข้างใคร
