1民の指導者たちはエルサレムに住んだ。残りの民はくじを引き、十人に一人を聖なる町エルサレムに住ませ、残る九人をほかの町々に住ませた。
1And the princes of the people dwelt in Jerusalem; the rest of the people also cast lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts in the other cities.
2民は、自ら進んでエルサレムに住もうとしたすべての人を祝福した。
2And the people blessed all the men that willingly offered themselves to dwell in Jerusalem.
3エルサレムに住んだ州の長たちは次のとおりである。一方、ユダの町々では、イスラエル人、祭司、レビ人、宮のしもべたち、ソロモンのしもべたちの子らが、それぞれ自分の町の所有地に住んだ。
3Now these are the chiefs of the province that dwelt in Jerusalem; but in the cities of Judah dwelt every one in his possession in their cities, to wit, Israelites, the priests, and the Levites, and the Nethinim, and the children of Solomon's servants.
4エルサレムには、ユダの子らとベニヤミンの子らの一部が住んだ。ユダの子らのうちでは、ペレツの子孫であるマハラレルの子シェファテヤの子アマルヤの子ゼカリヤの子ウジヤの子アタヤ、
4And in Jerusalem dwelt certain of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin. Of the children of Judah: Athaiah the son of Uzziah, the son of Zechariah, the son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalalel, of the children of Perez;
5また、シロ人の子孫であるゼカリヤの子ヨヤリブの子アダヤの子ハザヤの子コル・ホゼの子バルクの子マアセヤ。
5and Maaseiah the son of Baruch, the son of Colhozeh, the son of Hazaiah, the son of Adaiah, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zechariah, the son of the Shilonite.
6エルサレムに住んだペレツの子らは、合わせて四百六十八人の勇士であった。
6All the sons of Perez that dwelt in Jerusalem were four hundred threescore and eight valiant men.
7ベニヤミンの子らは次のとおりである。エシャヤの子イティエルの子マアセヤの子コラヤの子ペダヤの子ヨエドの子メシュラムの子サル、
7And these are the sons of Benjamin: Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Joed, the son of Pedaiah, the son of Kolaiah, the son of Maaseiah, the son of Ithiel, the son of Jeshaiah.
8その後にガバイとサライ。合わせて九百二十八人。
8And after him Gabbai, Sallai, nine hundred twenty and eight.
9ジクリの子ヨエルが彼らの監督であり、ハセヌアの子ユダが町の副責任者であった。
9And Joel the son of Zichri was their overseer; and Judah the son of Hassenuah was second over the city.
10祭司のうちでは、ヨヤリブの子エダヤ、ヤキン、
10Of the priests: Jedaiah the son of Joiarib, Jachin,
11アヒトブの子メライオテの子ザドクの子メシュラムの子ヒルキヤの子セラヤ。彼は神の家の長であった。
11Seraiah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the ruler of the house of God,
12また、神の家の務めを行った彼らの兄弟たち、八百二十二人。さらに、マルキヤの子パシュフルの子ゼカリヤの子アムジの子ペラルヤの子エロハムの子アダヤ、
12and their brethren that did the work of the house, eight hundred twenty and two; and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pelaliah, the son of Amzi, the son of Zechariah, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malchijah,
13および父の家の長である彼の兄弟たち、二百四十二人。また、イムルの子メシレモテの子アフザイの子アザルエルの子アマシャイ、
13and his brethren, chiefs of fathers' houses, two hundred forty and two; and Amashsai the son of Azarel, the son of Ahzai, the son of Meshillemoth, the son of Immer,
14およびその兄弟である力ある勇士たち、百二十八人。ハゲドリムの子ザブディエルが彼らの監督であった。
14and their brethren, mighty men of valour, a hundred twenty and eight; and their overseer was Zabdiel, the son of Haggedolim.
15レビ人のうちでは、ブニの子ハシャビヤの子アズリカムの子ハシュブの子シェマヤ。
15And of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Bunni;
16また、レビ人の長たちのうち、神の家の外務を監督したシャベタイとヨザバド。
16and Shabbethai and Jozabad, of the chiefs of the Levites, who had the oversight of the outward business of the house of God;
17また、アサフの子ザブディの子ミカの子マタヌヤ。彼は祈りで感謝を唱える際の先導者であった。さらに、兄弟たちの中で第二の者バクブクヤと、エドトンの子ガラルの子シャムアの子アブダがいた。
17and Mattaniah the son of Mica, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, who was the chief to begin the thanksgiving in prayer, and Bakbukiah, the second among his brethren; and Abda the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun.
18聖なる町にいたレビ人は、合わせて二百八十四人であった。
18All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred fourscore and four.
19門衛は、アクブ、タルモン、および門で見張りをした彼らの兄弟たち、百七十二人。
19Moreover the porters, Akkub, Talmon, and their brethren, that kept watch at the gates, were a hundred seventy and two.
20残りのイスラエル人、祭司、レビ人は、ユダのすべての町々で、それぞれ自分の相続地に住んだ。
20And the residue of Israel, of the priests, the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, every one in his inheritance.
21宮のしもべたちはオフェルに住み、ツィハとギシュパが宮のしもべたちを監督していた。
21But the Nethinim dwelt in Ophel; and Ziha and Gishpa were over the Nethinim.
22エルサレムにおけるレビ人の監督は、バニの子ウジであった。ウジはハシャビヤの子、ハシャビヤはマタヌヤの子、マタヌヤはミカの子であり、神の家の奉仕を担うアサフの子孫の歌うたいたちに属していた。
22The overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Mica, of the sons of Asaph, the singers, over the business of the house of God.
23歌うたいたちについては王の命令があり、日ごとに定められた分が与えられていた。
23For there was a commandment from the king concerning them, and a sure ordinance concerning the singers, as every day required.
24ユダの子ゼラの子孫、メシェザベルの子ペタフヤは、民に関するすべての事柄について王のもとで取り次ぐ者であった。
24And Pethahiah the son of Meshezabel, of the children of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king's hand in all matters concerning the people.
25畑のある村々について言えば、ユダの子らの一部は、キルヤテ・アルバとその周辺の町、ディボンとその周辺の町、エカブツェエルとその村々、
25And for the villages, with their fields, some of the children of Judah dwelt in Kiriath-arba and the towns thereof, and in Dibon and the towns thereof, and in Jekabzeel and the villages thereof;
26エシュア、モラダ、ベテ・ペレト、
26and in Jeshua, and in Moladah, and Beth-pelet;
27ハツァル・シュアル、ベエル・シェバとその村々、
27and in Hazar-shual, and in Beer-sheba and the towns thereof;
28ツィクラグ、メコナとその村々、
28and in Ziklag, and in Meconah and in the towns thereof;
29エン・リンモン、ツォルア、ヤルムテ、
29and in En-rimmon, and in Zorah, and in Jarmuth;
30ザノア、アデュラムとその村々、ラキシュとその畑、アゼカとその周辺の町に住んだ。こうして彼らはベエル・シェバからヒンノムの谷まで居住した。
30Zanoah, Adullam, and their villages, Lachish and the fields thereof, Azekah and the towns thereof. So they encamped from Beer-sheba unto the valley of Hinnom.
31ベニヤミンの子らも、ゲバから先、ミクマス、アヤ、ベテルとその周辺の町、
31And the children of Benjamin from Geba onward, at Michmas and Aijah, and at Beth-el and the towns thereof;
32アナトテ、ノブ、アナニヤ、
32at Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah;
33ハツォル、ラマ、ギタイム、
33Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim;
34ハディド、ツェボイム、ネバラテ、
34Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat;
35ロド、オノ、職人の谷に住んだ。
35Lod, and Ono, Ge-harashim.
36レビ人のうち、ユダにいたいくつかの組は、ベニヤミンの地に住んだ。
36And of the Levites, certain courses in Judah were joined to Benjamin.
