1A cungkuem he ka mik loh a hmuh coeng. Te te Ka hna yaak tih a yakming coeng.
1“Indeed, my eyes have seen all this; my ears have heard and understood.
2Nangmih kah mingnah bangla kai khaw ka ming tih nangmih kai he nangmih lakah ka toem moenih.
2What you know, I also know; I am not inferior to you.
3Tedae kai tah Tlungthang taengah ka thui tih Pathen taengah ka ngaih bangla ka tluung lah sue.
3Yet I desire to speak to the Almighty and argue my case before God.
4Tedae nangmih ah laithae kap tih nangmih boeih te mueirhol siboei ni.
4You, however, smear with lies; you are all worthless physicians.
5U long nim n'ngam sak lah sue?
5If only you would remain silent; for that would be your wisdom!
6Kai kah toelthamnah hnatun dae lamtah ka hmuilai dongkah tuituknah he hnatung uh.
6Hear now my argument, and listen to the plea of my lips.
7Will you speak wickedly on God’s behalf or speak deceitfully for Him?
8Would you show Him partiality or argue in His defense?
9Nangmih te n'khe vetih hlanghing taengkah omsaa bangla a taengah na omsaa uh koinih then aya?
9Would it be well when He examined you? Could you deceive Him like a man?
10Surely He would rebuke you if you secretly showed partiality.
11A boeimang loh nangmih te n'let sak tih amah kah birhihnah loh nangmih soah tla het mahpawt nim?
11Would His majesty not terrify you? Would the dread of Him not fall upon you?
12Nangmih poekkoepnah he hmaiphu dongkah banghui, nangmih kah amkhawn khaw amlai amkhawn banghui ni.
12Your maxims are proverbs of ashes; your defenses are defenses of clay.
13Kai taengah hilphah uh lamtah ka cal mai akhaw kamah taengah mebang khaw thoeng mai saeh.
13Be silent, and I will speak. Then let come to me what may.
14Balae tih ka saa te ka no dongla ka khueh vetih ka hinglu he ka kut neh ka pom eh.
14Why do I put myself at risk and take my life in my own hands?
15Kai n'rhaem mai cakhaw amah taengah ka ngaiuep mahpawt nim? Ka longpuei he a mikhmuh ah ka thui pueng ni.
15Though He slay me, I will hope in Him. I will still defend my ways to His face.
16He khaw kai hamla khangnah la om pai. Lailak tah a mikhmuh la kun mahpawh.
16Moreover, this will be my salvation, for no godless man can appear before Him.
17Nangmih hna dongkah ka olthui neh ka olhoe he hnatun khaw hnatun mai dae.
17Listen carefully to my words; let my declaration ring in your ears.
18Behold, now that I have prepared my case, I know that I will be vindicated.
19Kai aka ho te unim? Ka ngam mai laeh vetih ka pal mai mako.
19Can anyone indict me? If so, I will be silent and die.
20Only grant these two things to me, so that I need not hide from You:
21Na kut te kai dong lamloh lakhla sak lamtah na mueirhih neh kai n'let sak boeh.
21Withdraw Your hand from me, and do not let Your terror frighten me.
22Te phoeiah n'khue lamtah ka doo bitni. Ka thui saeh lamtah kai he n'thuung saeh.
22Then call me, and I will answer, or let me speak, and You can reply.
23Ka taengkah thaesainah neh tholhnah he meyet nim? Ka boekoeknah neh ka boirhaem lai kai n'tueng lah.
23How many are my iniquities and sins? Reveal to me my transgression and sin.
24Balae tih na maelhmai na thuh, kai he na taengkah thunkha bangla nan moeh mai.
24Why do You hide Your face and consider me as Your enemy?
25Would You frighten a windblown leaf? Would You chase after dry chaff?
26Kai taengah khahing te nan daek tih ka camoe thaesainah te kai nan pang sak.
26For You record bitter accusations against me and bequeath to me the iniquities of my youth.
27You put my feet in the stocks and stand watch over all my paths; You set a limit for the soles of my feet.
28Te khaw keet bangla hmawn tih himbai bangla bungbo loh a caak.
28So man wastes away like something rotten, like a moth-eaten garment.
