1Sie top fisrasr akmisyela kasrkusrak, a sie kas toasr ac purakak kasrkusrak.
1A mild answer breaketh wrath: but a harsh word stirreth up fury.
2Ke mwet lalmwetmet elos kaskas, mwet uh mwel etauk. A mwet lalfon elos filakunla kas lusrongten.
2The tongue of the wise adorneth knowledge: but the mouth of fools bubbleth out folly.
3LEUM GOD El liye ma orek in acn nukewa; El suiya ma nukewa kut oru — finne wo ku koluk.
3The eyes of the Lord in every place behold the good and the evil.
4Kas kulang mwe akkeye kom, a kas toasr ac mwe akmunasye kom.
4A peaceable tongue is a tree of life: but that which is immoderate, shall crush the spirit.
5Ma lalfon se pa in pilesru kas in luti lun papa tomom; a lalmwetmet pa in porongo kas in kai lal.
5A fool laugheth at the instruction of his father: but he that regardeth reproofs shall become prudent. In abundant justice there is the greatest strength: but the devices of the wicked shall be rooted out.
6Mwet suwoswos elos karinganang kasrpalos, a mwet koluk elos sununtei kasrpalos, na ke pacl koluk tuku, elos kwacola.
6The house of the just is very much strength: and in the fruits of the wicked is trouble.
7Mwet lalmwetmet akyokye etauk, a mwet lalfon elos tia.
7The lips of the wise shall disperse knowledge: the heart of fools shall be unlike.
8LEUM GOD El insewowo ke pre lun mwet wo, a El srunga mwe kisa lun mwet koluk.
8The victims of the wicked are abominable to the Lord: the vows of the just are acceptable.
9LEUM GOD El srunga inkanek lun mwet koluk, a El lungse elos su oru ma suwohs.
9The way of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord: he that followeth justice is beloved by him.
10Kom fin oru ma koluk, kom ac sun kaiyuk upa; kom ac misa kom fin tia lela in aksuwosyeyuk kom.
10Instruction is grievous to him that forsaketh the way of life: he that hateth reproof shall die.
11LEUM GOD El fin ku in etu ma nukewa ma oan in facl lun mwet misa, na kalem lah sie mwet el tia ku in okanla nunak lal liki God.
11Hell and destruction are before the Lord: how much more the hearts of the children of men?
12Mwet inse fulat tia lungse in aksuwosyeyuk elos; elos tiana suk kas in kasru sin mwet lalmwetmet.
12A corrupt man loveth not one that reproveth him: nor will he go to the wise.
13Ke pacl mwet uh engan, elos israsr srisrik, a ke pacl elos asor, insialos toasrlana.
13A glad heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by grief of mind the spirit is cast down.
14Mwet lalkung lungse na lutlut, a mwet sulalkung mansisna in nikin.
14The heart of the wise seeketh instruction: and the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.
15Mwet sukasrup elos moul in fosrnga pacl nukewa, a mwet ma insewowo, elos moul in engan pacl nukewa.
15All the days of the poor are evil: a secure mind is like a continual feast.
16Wo in sukasrup ac in sangeng sin LEUM GOD , liki na in kasrup ac moul in lokoalok.
16Better is a little with the fear of the Lord, than great treasures without content,
17Ac wo in mongo mahsrik yen oasr lungse we, liki na in mongo ikwa yuyu yen oasr srunga we.
17It is better to be invited to herbs with love, than to a fatted calf with hatred.
18Mwet mongsa elos purakak akukuin, a mwet mongfisrasr elos akmisye.
18A passionate man stirreth up strifes: he that is patient appeaseth those that are stirred up.
19Kom fin alsrangesr, kom ac sun ma upa yen nukewa, a kom fin suwohs, wangin mwe lokoalok ac sun kom.
19The way of the slothful is as a hedge of thorns; the way of the just is without offence.
20Sie tulik lalmwetmet el akenganye papa tumal. Sie tulik lalfon el pilesru nina kial.
20A wise son maketh a father joyful: but the foolish man despiseth his mother.
21Mwet lalfon elos engankin orekma lalfon lalos, a mwet lalmwetmet elos ac oru ma suwohs.
21Folly is joy to the fool: and the wise man maketh straight his steps.
22Kutena pwapa ma srihk kas in kasru nu kac, ac tia ku in fahla wo; enenu in oasr kas in kasru sin mwet pus, na ac fah wo saflaiya.
22Designs are brought to nothing where there is no counsel: but where there are many counsellors, they are established.
23Mwe engan na yohk in konauk kas fal nu ke sripa se lun pacl sac!
23A man rejoiceth in the sentence of his mouth: and a word in due time is best.
24Mwet lalmwetmet elos fahsr ke inkanek ma utyak nu ke moul; tia ke inkanek ma oatula nu ke misa.
24The path of life is above for the wise, that he may decline from the lowest hell.
25LEUM GOD El ac fah kunausla lohm sin mwet filang, a El fah loangela acn sin katinmas.
25The Lord will destroy the house of the proud: and will strengthen the borders of the widow.
26LEUM GOD El srunga nunak koluk, a El insewowo ke kas kulang.
26Evil thoughts are an abomination to the Lord: and pure words most beautiful shall be confirmed by him.
27Kom fin oru ma laesla ke inkanek kutasrik, kom ac pwanma ongoiya nu fin sou lom. Nimet eis mol in eyeinse, na moul lom fah loes.
27He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house: but he that hateth bribes shall live. By mercy and faith sins are purged away: and by the fear of the Lord every one declineth from evil.
28Mwet wo elos nunku meet liki elos topuk. Mwet koluk elos sa in topuk, a kwana orala tukulkul.
28The mind of the just studieth obedience: the mouth of the wicked over floweth with evils.
29Ke pacl mwet wo uh pre, LEUM GOD El porongo, a El ngetla lukelos su oru ma koluk.
29The Lord is far from the wicked: and he will hear the prayers of the just.
30Ngetnget kulang ac akenganye kom, ac pweng wo ac fah akkeyekom.
30The light of the eyes rejoiceth the soul: a good name maketh the bones fat.
31Kom fin porongo pacl kaiyuk kom uh, kom lalmwetmet.
31The ear that heareth the reproofs of life, shall abide in the midst of the wise.
32Kom fin srunga lutlut, kom sifacna akkolukye kom. Kom fin porongo kas in kai nu sum, ac fah yokelik etauk lom.
32He that rejecteth instruction, despiseth his own soul: but he that yieldeth to reproof possesseth understanding.
33Sangeng sin LEUM GOD pa inkanek nu ke etauk. Kom enenu in pusisel, na fah akfulatyeyuk kom.
33The fear of the Lord is the lesson of wisdom: and humility goeth before glory.
