Bible Mutal (Kosraean)
Douay-Rheims Bible, American Edition (1899)
1Tulik nutik, lutlut ke ma nga luti nu sum, ac tia mulkunla ma nga fahk kom in oru.
1My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and wilt hide my commandments with thee,
2Lohng kas in lalmwetmet, ac srike kom in kalem kac.
2That thy ear may hearken to wisdom: Incline thy heart to know prudence:
3Aok, ngisre in oasr etauk lom, ac kwafe tuh kom in liyaten.
3For if thou shalt call for wisdom, and incline thy heart to prudence:
4Suk aklohya, in oana ke kom ac suk silver ku kutu ma saok su oan wikla.
4If thou shalt seek her as money, and shalt dig for her as for a treasure:
5Kom fin oru ouinge na kom fah etu lah mea kalmen sangeng sin LEUM GOD , ac konauk in etu ke God.
5Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and shalt find the knowledge of God.
6LEUM GOD pa ase lalmwetmet; etauk ac kalem tuku sel me.
6Because the Lord giveth wisdom: and out of his mouth cometh prudence and knowledge.
7El sang kasru nu sin mwet suwohs, ac El karinganang mwet moul pwaye.
7He will keep the salvation of the righteous, and protect them that walk in simplicity.
8El karinganulos su oru wo nu sin mwet ngia, ac taranulos su inse pwaye nu sel.
8Keeping the paths of justice, and guarding the ways of saints.
9Kom fin porongeyu, kom ac etu ma pwaye, suwohs, ac wo. Na kom ac etu lah mea fal kom in oru.
9Then shalt thou understand justice, and judgment, and equity, and every good path.
10Kom ac lalmwetmet, ac etauk lom ac fah mwe insewowo nu sum.
10If wisdom shall enter into thy heart, and knowledge please thy soul:
11Liyaten ac kalem lom ac loangekom —
11Counsel shall keep thee, and prudence shall preserve thee,
12ac sruokkomi kom in tia oru ma sutuu. Ma inge ac fah srikomla liki mwet su purakak lokoalok ke kas lalos —
12That thou mayst be delivered from the evil way, and from the man that speaketh perverse things:
13mwet su fahsr liki moul suwohs, ac som nu ke moul in lohsr,
13Who leave the right way, and walk by dark ways:
14mwet su engan in oru ma koluk, ac insewowokin moul lusrongten ac sesuwos,
14Who are glad when they have done evil, and rejoice in most wicked things:
15mwet kutasrik su tia ku in lulalfongiyuk.
15Whose ways are perverse, and their steps infamous.
16Kom ac fah ku in kaingkunla kutena mutan koluk su ac srike in srife kom ke kas emwem lal,
16That thou mayst be delivered from the strange women, and from the stranger, who softeneth her words:
17su tia pwaye nu sin mukul tumal, ac tia esam wuleang el oru ye mutun God.
17And forsaketh the guide of her youth,
18Kom fin som nu lohm sel, kom fahsr nu ke inkanek in misa. Kom fin som nu we, kom suwoswos nu ke facl sin misa.
18And hath forgotten the covenant of her God: for her house inclineth unto death, and her paths to hell.
19Wangin sie mwet su utyak nu yorol nu foloko. El tiana foloko nu ke inkanek in moul.
19None that go in unto her shall return again, neither shall they take hold of the paths of life,
20Ouinge kom in etai moul lun mwet wo, ac moulkin moul suwoswos.
20That thou mayst walk in a good way: and mayst keep the paths of the just.
21Mwet suwoswos — elos su pwaye in ma nukewa — ac fah muta in facl sesr uh.
21For they that are upright shall dwell in the earth, and the simple shall continue in it.
22Tuh God El ac tulakunla mwet koluk uh liki acn uh, ac fusulosyak su orekma koluk.
22But the wicked shall be destroyed from the earth: and they that do unjustly shall be taken away from it.
