1And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying:
1พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสกับโมเสสว่า
2Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them: This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded, saying:
2“จงกล่าวแก่อาโรน บุตรชายของเขา และชาวอิสราเอลทั้งหมดว่า ‘นี่คือสิ่งที่พระยาห์เวห์บัญชา
3What man soever there be of the house of Israel, that killeth an ox, or lamb, or goat, in the camp, or that killeth it without the camp,
3ชายคนใดในวงศ์วานอิสราเอลที่ฆ่าวัว แกะ หรือแพะในค่าย หรือฆ่านอกค่าย
4and hath not brought it unto the door of the tent of meeting, to present it as an offering unto the LORD before the tabernacle of the LORD, blood shall be imputed unto that man; he hath shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people.
4แต่ไม่ได้นำมาที่ทางเข้าเต็นท์นัดพบเพื่อถวายเป็นของถวายแด่พระยาห์เวห์ต่อหน้าพลับพลาของพระยาห์เวห์ ให้ถือว่าชายคนนั้นมีความผิดเรื่องเลือด เขาได้หลั่งเลือด ชายคนนั้นต้องถูกตัดขาดจากประชาชนของตน
5To the end that the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices, which they sacrifice in the open field, even that they may bring them unto the LORD, unto the door of the tent of meeting, unto the priest, and sacrifice them for sacrifices of peace-offerings unto the LORD.
5ทั้งนี้เพื่อให้ชาวอิสราเอลนำสัตว์ที่พวกเขาเคยฆ่าถวายในทุ่งโล่งมาถวายพระยาห์เวห์ที่ทางเข้าเต็นท์นัดพบ โดยนำมาหาปุโรหิต แล้วฆ่าถวายเป็นเครื่องบูชาสันติสุขแด่พระยาห์เวห์
6And the priest shall dash the blood against the altar of the LORD at the door of the tent of meeting, and make the fat smoke for a sweet savour unto the LORD.
6ปุโรหิตต้องประพรมเลือดบนแท่นบูชาของพระยาห์เวห์ที่ทางเข้าเต็นท์นัดพบ และเผาไขมันให้มีกลิ่นหอมเป็นที่พอใจของพระยาห์เวห์
7And they shall no more sacrifice their sacrifices unto the satyrs, after whom they go astray. This shall be a statute for ever unto them throughout their generations.
7พวกเขาต้องไม่ฆ่าเครื่องบูชาถวายแก่รูปเคารพที่มีรูปร่างเป็นแพะอีก ซึ่งพวกเขาเล่นชู้ตามอยู่ นี่จะเป็นกฎเกณฑ์ถาวรสำหรับพวกเขาตลอดทุกชั่วอายุ’
8And thou shalt say unto them: Whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among them, that offereth a burnt-offering or sacrifice,
8“เจ้าต้องกล่าวแก่พวกเขาว่า ‘ชายคนใดในวงศ์วานอิสราเอล หรือคนต่างถิ่นที่อาศัยอยู่ท่ามกลางพวกเขา ที่ถวายเครื่องเผาบูชาหรือเครื่องบูชา
9and bringeth it not unto the door of the tent of meeting, to sacrifice it unto the LORD, even that man shall be cut off from his people.
9แต่ไม่นำมาที่ทางเข้าเต็นท์นัดพบเพื่อฆ่าถวายแด่พระยาห์เวห์ ชายคนนั้นต้องถูกตัดขาดจากประชาชนของตน
10And whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among them, that eateth any manner of blood, I will set My face against that soul that eateth blood, and will cut him off from among his people.
10“‘ชายคนใดในวงศ์วานอิสราเอล หรือคนต่างถิ่นที่อาศัยอยู่ท่ามกลางพวกเขา ที่กินเลือดชนิดใดก็ตาม เราจะต่อต้านคนที่กินเลือดนั้น และจะตัดเขาออกจากประชาชนของเขา
11For the life of the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that maketh atonement by reason of the life.
11เพราะชีวิตของเนื้อหนังอยู่ในเลือด เราได้มอบเลือดนั้นให้พวกเจ้าบนแท่นบูชาเพื่อประกอบพิธีลบล้างให้แก่ชีวิตของพวกเจ้า เพราะเลือดประกอบพิธีลบล้างได้เนื่องจากชีวิตที่อยู่ในเลือด
12Therefore I said unto the children of Israel: No soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger that sojourneth among you eat blood.
12เพราะฉะนั้นเราจึงกล่าวแก่ชาวอิสราเอลว่า “ไม่มีผู้ใดในพวกเจ้ากินเลือดได้ และคนต่างถิ่นที่อาศัยอยู่ท่ามกลางพวกเจ้าก็กินเลือดไม่ได้”
13And whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among them, that taketh in hunting any beast or fowl that may be eaten, he shall pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust.
13“‘ชายคนใดในชาวอิสราเอล หรือคนต่างถิ่นที่อาศัยอยู่ท่ามกลางพวกเขา ที่ออกล่าสัตว์หรือจับนกที่กินได้ ต้องเทเลือดของมันออกแล้วเอาดินกลบ
14For as to the life of all flesh, the blood thereof is all one with the life thereof; therefore I said unto the children of Israel: Ye shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh; for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof; whosoever eateth it shall be cut off.
14เพราะชีวิตของเนื้อหนังทุกชนิดอยู่กับเลือดของมัน ดังนั้นเราจึงกล่าวแก่ชาวอิสราเอลว่า “พวกเจ้าห้ามกินเลือดของเนื้อหนังชนิดใด เพราะชีวิตของเนื้อหนังทุกชนิดคือเลือดของมัน ผู้ใดกินเลือดต้องถูกตัดขาด”
15And every soul that eateth that which dieth of itself, or that which is torn of beasts, whether he be home-born or a stranger, he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even; then shall he be clean.
15“‘ทุกคนที่กินสัตว์ที่ตายเองหรือถูกสัตว์อื่นฉีก ไม่ว่าจะเป็นคนที่เกิดในแผ่นดินหรือคนต่างถิ่น ต้องซักเสื้อผ้า อาบน้ำชำระร่างกาย และจะไม่สะอาดตามพิธีจนถึงเวลาเย็น แล้วจึงจะสะอาดตามพิธี
16But if he wash them not, nor bathe his flesh, then he shall bear his iniquity.
16แต่ถ้าเขาไม่ซักเสื้อผ้าหรือไม่อาบน้ำชำระร่างกาย เขาต้องรับความผิดของตน’”
