1And the LORD spoke unto Moses and to Aaron, saying unto them:
1พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสกับโมเสสและอาโรนว่า
2Speak unto the children of Israel, saying: These are the living things which ye may eat among all the beasts that are on the earth.
2“จงกล่าวแก่ชาวอิสราเอลว่า ‘ในบรรดาสัตว์ทั้งหมดบนแผ่นดิน พวกเจ้ากินสัตว์ต่อไปนี้ได้
3Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is wholly cloven-footed, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that may ye eat.
3สัตว์ใดที่มีกีบแยกออกเป็นสองซีกและเคี้ยวเอื้อง พวกเจ้ากินสัตว์นั้นได้
4Nevertheless these shall ye not eat of them that only chew the cud, or of them that only part the hoof: the camel, because he cheweth the cud but parteth not the hoof, he is unclean unto you.
4“‘แต่ในบรรดาสัตว์ที่เคี้ยวเอื้องหรือมีกีบแยก พวกเจ้าห้ามกินสัตว์เหล่านี้ คืออูฐ เพราะมันเคี้ยวเอื้องแต่กีบไม่แยก จึงไม่สะอาดตามพิธีสำหรับพวกเจ้า
5And the rock-badger, because he cheweth the cud but parteth not the hoof, he is unclean unto you.
5ไฮแรกซ์ เพราะมันเคี้ยวเอื้องแต่กีบไม่แยก จึงไม่สะอาดตามพิธีสำหรับพวกเจ้า
6And the hare, because she cheweth the cud but parteth not the hoof, she is unclean unto you.
6กระต่ายป่า เพราะมันเคี้ยวเอื้องแต่กีบไม่แยก จึงไม่สะอาดตามพิธีสำหรับพวกเจ้า
7And the swine, because he parteth the hoof, and is cloven-footed, but cheweth not the cud, he is unclean unto you.
7หมู เพราะมันมีกีบแยกออกเป็นสองซีก แต่ไม่เคี้ยวเอื้อง จึงไม่สะอาดตามพิธีสำหรับพวกเจ้า
8Of their flesh ye shall not eat, and their carcasses ye shall not touch; they are unclean unto you.
8พวกเจ้าห้ามกินเนื้อของพวกมันและห้ามแตะต้องซากของพวกมัน เพราะพวกมันไม่สะอาดตามพิธีสำหรับพวกเจ้า
9These may ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them may ye eat.
9“‘ในบรรดาสัตว์ที่อยู่ในน้ำ พวกเจ้ากินสัตว์ที่มีครีบและเกล็ดได้ ไม่ว่าจะอยู่ในทะเลหรือแม่น้ำ
10And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that swarm in the waters, and of all the living creatures that are in the waters, they are a detestable thing unto you,
10แต่สัตว์ทุกชนิดในทะเลและแม่น้ำที่ไม่มีครีบและเกล็ด ทั้งสัตว์ที่เคลื่อนไหวอยู่ในน้ำและสิ่งมีชีวิตทุกชนิดในน้ำ เป็นสิ่งน่ารังเกียจสำหรับพวกเจ้า
11and they shall be a detestable thing unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, and their carcasses ye shall have in detestation.
11พวกเจ้าต้องรังเกียจพวกมัน ห้ามกินเนื้อของพวกมัน และต้องรังเกียจซากของพวกมัน
12Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that is a detestable thing unto you.
12สัตว์น้ำทุกชนิดที่ไม่มีครีบและเกล็ดเป็นสิ่งน่ารังเกียจสำหรับพวกเจ้า
13And these ye shall have in detestation among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are a detestable thing: the great vulture, and the bearded vulture, and the ospray;
13“‘ในบรรดานก พวกเจ้าต้องรังเกียจนกเหล่านี้และห้ามกิน เพราะเป็นสิ่งน่ารังเกียจ ได้แก่ นกอินทรี แร้ง แร้งดำ
14and the kite, and the falcon after its kinds;
14เหยี่ยวแดง เหยี่ยวดำทุกชนิด
15every raven after its kinds;
15กาทุกชนิด
16and the ostrich, and the night-hawk, and the sea-mew, and the hawk after its kinds;
16นกเค้าแมวมีเขา นกเค้าแมวเสียงแหลม นางนวล เหยี่ยวทุกชนิด
17and the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl;
17นกเค้าแมวเล็ก นกกาน้ำ นกเค้าแมวใหญ่
18and the horned owl, and the pelican, and the carrion-vulture;
18นกเค้าแมวขาว นกเค้าแมวทะเลทราย นกออสเปรย์
19and the stork, and the heron after its kinds, and the hoopoe, and the bat.
19นกกระสา นกกระสาทุกชนิด นกกะรางหัวขวาน และค้างคาว
20All winged swarming things that go upon all fours are a detestable thing unto you.
20“‘แมลงมีปีกทุกชนิดที่เคลื่อนที่ด้วยสี่ขาเป็นสิ่งน่ารังเกียจสำหรับพวกเจ้า
21Yet these may ye eat of all winged swarming things that go upon all fours, which have jointed legs above their feet, wherewith to leap upon the earth;
21แต่ในบรรดาสัตว์มีปีกที่คลานและเคลื่อนที่ด้วยสี่ขา พวกเจ้ากินชนิดที่มีขาเป็นข้อยาวสำหรับกระโดดบนพื้นดินได้
22even these of them ye may eat: the locust after its kinds, and the bald locust after its kinds, and the cricket after its kinds, and the grasshopper after its kinds.
22พวกเจ้ากินสัตว์เหล่านี้ได้ ได้แก่ ตั๊กแตนฝูงทุกชนิด ตั๊กแตนใบไม้ทุกชนิด จิ้งหรีดทุกชนิด และตั๊กแตนทุกชนิด
23But all winged swarming things, which have four feet, are a detestable thing unto you.
23แต่สัตว์มีปีกที่คลานชนิดอื่นทุกชนิดซึ่งมีสี่ขาเป็นสิ่งน่ารังเกียจสำหรับพวกเจ้า
24And by these ye shall become unclean; whosoever toucheth the carcass of them shall be unclean until even.
24“‘สัตว์เหล่านี้จะทำให้พวกเจ้าไม่สะอาดตามพิธี ผู้ใดแตะต้องซากของมันจะไม่สะอาดตามพิธีไปจนถึงเวลาเย็น
25And whosoever beareth aught of the carcass of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even.
25ผู้ใดแบกส่วนใดส่วนหนึ่งของซากมัน ต้องซักเสื้อผ้าและจะไม่สะอาดตามพิธีไปจนถึงเวลาเย็น
26Every beast which parteth the hoof, but is not cloven footed, nor cheweth the cud, is unclean unto you; every one that toucheth them shall be unclean.
26“‘สัตว์ทุกชนิดที่มีกีบแต่กีบไม่แยกออกเป็นสองซีกอย่างสมบูรณ์ หรือไม่เคี้ยวเอื้อง เป็นสัตว์ไม่สะอาดตามพิธีสำหรับพวกเจ้า ผู้ใดแตะต้องสัตว์เหล่านี้จะไม่สะอาดตามพิธี
27And whatsoever goeth upon its paws, among all beasts that go on all fours, they are unclean unto you; whoso toucheth their carcass shall be unclean until the even.
27ในบรรดาสัตว์สี่เท้าทั้งหมด สัตว์ที่เดินด้วยอุ้งเท้าไม่สะอาดตามพิธีสำหรับพวกเจ้า ผู้ใดแตะต้องซากของมันจะไม่สะอาดตามพิธีไปจนถึงเวลาเย็น
28And he that beareth the carcass of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even; they are unclean unto you.
28ผู้ใดแบกซากของมันต้องซักเสื้อผ้า และจะไม่สะอาดตามพิธีไปจนถึงเวลาเย็น สัตว์เหล่านี้ไม่สะอาดตามพิธีสำหรับพวกเจ้า
29And these are they which are unclean unto you among the swarming things that swarm upon the earth: the weasel, and the mouse, and the great lizard after its kinds,
29“‘ในบรรดาสัตว์ที่คลานไปตามพื้นดิน สัตว์เหล่านี้ไม่สะอาดตามพิธีสำหรับพวกเจ้า ได้แก่ พังพอน หนู และกิ้งก่าขนาดใหญ่ทุกชนิด
30and the gecko, and the land-crocodile, and the lizard, and the sand-lizard, and the chameleon.
30ตุ๊กแก ตะกวด จิ้งจก จิ้งเหลน และกิ้งก่าเปลี่ยนสี
31These are they which are unclean to you among all that swarm; whosoever doth touch them, when they are dead, shall be unclean until the even.
31สัตว์เหล่านี้ไม่สะอาดตามพิธีสำหรับพวกเจ้าในบรรดาสัตว์ทุกชนิดที่คลาน ผู้ใดแตะต้องมันเมื่อมันตายแล้วจะไม่สะอาดตามพิธีไปจนถึงเวลาเย็น
32And upon whatsoever any of them, when they are dead, doth fall, it shall be unclean; whether it be any vessel of wood, or raiment, or skin, or sack, whatsoever vessel it be, wherewith any work is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the even; then shall it be clean.
32เมื่อสัตว์เหล่านี้ตายแล้วและตกลงบนสิ่งใด สิ่งนั้นจะไม่สะอาดตามพิธี ไม่ว่าจะเป็นภาชนะไม้ เสื้อผ้า หนัง กระสอบ หรือภาชนะใด ๆ ที่ใช้ในงาน ต้องนำสิ่งนั้นแช่น้ำ และมันจะไม่สะอาดตามพิธีไปจนถึงเวลาเย็น แล้วจึงจะสะอาดตามพิธี
33And every earthen vessel whereinto any of them falleth, whatsoever is in it shall be unclean, and it ye shall break.
33ถ้าสัตว์เหล่านี้ตัวใดตกลงในภาชนะดินเผา ทุกสิ่งที่อยู่ในภาชนะนั้นจะไม่สะอาดตามพิธี และพวกเจ้าต้องทุบภาชนะนั้นให้แตก
34All food therein which may be eaten, that on which water cometh, shall be unclean; and all drink in every such vessel that may be drunk shall be unclean.
34อาหารที่กินได้ทุกชนิดซึ่งถูกน้ำในภาชนะนั้นจะไม่สะอาดตามพิธี และเครื่องดื่มทุกชนิดในภาชนะนั้นก็จะไม่สะอาดตามพิธี
35And every thing whereupon any part of their carcass falleth shall be unclean; whether oven, or range for pots, it shall be broken in pieces; they are unclean, and shall be unclean unto you.
35สิ่งใดที่มีส่วนของซากสัตว์เหล่านี้ตกใส่จะไม่สะอาดตามพิธี ไม่ว่าจะเป็นเตาอบหรือเตาตั้งหม้อ ต้องทุบให้แตก สิ่งเหล่านี้ไม่สะอาดตามพิธี และจะไม่สะอาดตามพิธีสำหรับพวกเจ้า
36Nevertheless a fountain or a cistern wherein is a gathering of water shall be clean; but he who toucheth their carcass shall be unclean.
36แต่น้ำพุหรือบ่อเก็บน้ำยังคงสะอาดตามพิธี ส่วนสิ่งใดที่แตะต้องซากสัตว์เหล่านั้นจะไม่สะอาดตามพิธี
37And if aught of their carcass fall upon any sowing seed which is to be sown, it is clean.
37ถ้าส่วนหนึ่งของซากตกลงบนเมล็ดพันธุ์ที่เตรียมไว้หว่าน เมล็ดนั้นยังสะอาดตามพิธี
38But if water be put upon the seed, and aught of their carcass fall thereon, it is unclean unto you.
38แต่ถ้ามีน้ำอยู่บนเมล็ดนั้น แล้วส่วนหนึ่งของซากตกลงบนเมล็ด เมล็ดนั้นจะไม่สะอาดตามพิธีสำหรับพวกเจ้า
39And if any beast, of which ye may eat, die, he that toucheth the carcass thereof shall be unclean until the even.
39“‘ถ้าสัตว์ชนิดที่พวกเจ้ากินได้ตาย ผู้ใดแตะต้องซากของมันจะไม่สะอาดตามพิธีไปจนถึงเวลาเย็น
40And he that eateth of the carcass of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even; he also that beareth the carcass of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even.
40ผู้ใดกินซากของมันต้องซักเสื้อผ้า และจะไม่สะอาดตามพิธีไปจนถึงเวลาเย็น ผู้ใดแบกซากของมันก็ต้องซักเสื้อผ้า และจะไม่สะอาดตามพิธีไปจนถึงเวลาเย็น
41And every swarming thing that swarmeth upon the earth is a detestable thing; it shall not be eaten.
41“‘สัตว์ทุกชนิดที่คลานไปตามพื้นดินเป็นสิ่งน่ารังเกียจ ห้ามกิน
42Whatsoever goeth upon the belly, and whatsoever goeth upon all fours, or whatsoever hath many feet, even all swarming things that swarm upon the earth, them ye shall not eat; for they are a detestable thing.
42สัตว์ทุกชนิดที่คลานไปตามพื้นดิน ไม่ว่าจะเลื้อยด้วยท้อง เดินด้วยสี่ขา หรือมีหลายขา พวกเจ้าห้ามกิน เพราะเป็นสิ่งน่ารังเกียจ
43Ye shall not make yourselves detestable with any swarming thing that swarmeth, neither shall ye make yourselves unclean with them, that ye should be defiled thereby.
43อย่าทำให้ตัวพวกเจ้าเป็นสิ่งน่ารังเกียจเพราะสัตว์ที่คลานชนิดใด ๆ อย่าทำให้ตัวพวกเจ้าไม่สะอาดตามพิธีเพราะพวกมัน จนพวกเจ้ากลายเป็นมลทินเพราะพวกมัน
44For I am the LORD your God; sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy; for I am holy; neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of swarming thing that moveth upon the earth.
44เพราะเราคือพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกเจ้า จงแยกตัวไว้ให้ศักดิ์สิทธิ์และจงเป็นผู้ศักดิ์สิทธิ์ เพราะเราศักดิ์สิทธิ์ พวกเจ้าห้ามทำให้ตัวเองเป็นมลทินด้วยสัตว์ที่คลานชนิดใด ๆ ซึ่งเคลื่อนที่บนแผ่นดิน
45For I am the LORD that brought you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God; ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.
45เพราะเราคือพระยาห์เวห์ผู้ได้นำพวกเจ้าขึ้นมาจากแผ่นดินอียิปต์เพื่อเป็นพระเจ้าของพวกเจ้า ดังนั้นพวกเจ้าต้องเป็นผู้ศักดิ์สิทธิ์ เพราะเราศักดิ์สิทธิ์
46This is the law of the beast, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and of every creature that swarmeth upon the earth;
46“‘นี่คือกฎเรื่องสัตว์ นก สิ่งมีชีวิตทุกชนิดที่เคลื่อนไหวอยู่ในน้ำ และสัตว์ทุกชนิดที่คลานไปตามพื้นดิน
47to make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the living thing that may be eaten and the living thing that may not be eaten.
47เพื่อแยกแยะระหว่างสิ่งที่ไม่สะอาดตามพิธีกับสิ่งที่สะอาดตามพิธี และระหว่างสัตว์ที่กินได้กับสัตว์ที่กินไม่ได้’”
