1And the LORD spoke unto Moses, after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they drew near before the LORD, and died;
1アロンの二人の子が主の前に近づいて死んだ後、主はモーセに告げられた。
2and the LORD said unto Moses: 'Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the veil, before the ark-cover which is upon the ark; that he die not; for I appear in the cloud upon the ark-cover.
2主はモーセに言われた。「あなたの兄弟アロンに告げなさい。箱の上にある贖いの座の前、すなわち垂れ幕の内側の至聖所に、いつでも入って来てはならない。彼が死なないためである。わたしは贖いの座の上の雲の中に現れるからである。
3Herewith shall Aaron come into the holy place: with a young bullock for a sin-offering, and a ram for a burnt-offering.
3「アロンは、贖罪のささげ物として若い牛を、全焼のささげ物として雄羊を携えて、聖所に入る。
4He shall put on the holy linen tunic, and he shall have the linen breeches upon his flesh, and shall be girded with the linen girdle, and with the linen mitre shall he be attired; they are the holy garments; and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and put them on.
4彼は聖なる亜麻布の長服を着る。亜麻布のももひきを身に着け、亜麻布の飾り帯を締め、亜麻布のターバンをかぶる。これらは聖なる衣である。彼は水で体を洗い、それらを着る。
5And he shall take of the congregation of the children of Israel two he-goats for a sin-offering, and one ram for a burnt-offering.
5彼はイスラエルの子らの会衆から、贖罪のささげ物として二頭の雄山羊を、全焼のささげ物として一頭の雄羊を取る。
6And Aaron shall present the bullock of the sin-offering, which is for himself, and make atonement for himself, and for his house.
6「アロンは自分のための贖罪のささげ物の牛をささげ、自分と自分の家のために贖いを行う。
7And he shall take the two goats, and set them before the LORD at the door of the tent of meeting.
7彼は二頭の山羊を取り、会見の天幕の入り口で主の前に立たせる。
8And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats: one lot for the LORD, and the other lot for Azazel.
8アロンは二頭の山羊のためにくじを引く。一つのくじは主のため、もう一つは荒野に放つ山羊のためである。
9And Aaron shall present the goat upon which the lot fell for the LORD, and offer him for a sin-offering.
9アロンは主のためのくじが当たった山羊をささげ、それを贖罪のささげ物としてささげる。
10But the goat, on which the lot fell for Azazel, shall be set alive before the LORD, to make atonement over him, to send him away for Azazel into the wilderness.
10荒野に放つ山羊のくじが当たった山羊は、主の前に生かしたまま立たせ、それによって贖いを行い、荒野へ送り出す。
11And Aaron shall present the bullock of the sin-offering, which is for himself, and shall make atonement for himself, and for his house, and shall kill the bullock of the sin-offering which is for himself.
11「アロンは自分のための贖罪のささげ物の牛をささげ、自分と自分の家のために贖いを行い、自分のための贖罪のささげ物の牛を屠る。
12And he shall take a censer full of coals of fire from off the altar before the LORD, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the veil.
12彼は主の前にある祭壇から、火のついた炭を満たした香炉と、細かく砕いた香りのよい香を両手いっぱいに取り、垂れ幕の内側に持って入る。
13And he shall put the incense upon the fire before the LORD, that the cloud of the incense may cover the ark-cover that is upon the testimony, that he die not.
13彼は主の前でその香を火の上に置く。それは、香の雲があかしの上にある贖いの座を覆い、彼が死なないためである。
14And he shall take of the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it with his finger upon the ark-cover on the east; and before the ark-cover shall he sprinkle of the blood with his finger seven times.
14彼は牛の血の一部を取り、指で贖いの座の東側に振りかける。また贖いの座の前で、その血の一部を指で七度振りかける。
15Then shall he kill the goat of the sin-offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the veil, and do with his blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the ark-cover, and before the ark-cover.
15「その後、彼は民のための贖罪のささげ物の山羊を屠り、その血を垂れ幕の内側に持って入り、牛の血にしたようにその血を扱い、贖いの座の上と贖いの座の前にそれを振りかける。
16And he shall make atonement for the holy place, because of the uncleannesses of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions, even all their sins; and so shall he do for the tent of meeting, that dwelleth with them in the midst of their uncleannesses.
16彼はイスラエルの子らの汚れと、その背き、すなわち彼らのすべての罪のために、聖所のために贖いを行う。また、彼らの汚れのただ中で彼らと共に住む会見の天幕のためにも、同じように行う。
17And there shall be no man in the tent of meeting when he goeth in to make atonement in the holy place, until he come out, and have made atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the assembly of Israel.
17彼が聖所で贖いを行うために入り、彼自身と彼の家、そしてイスラエルの全会衆のために贖いを行って出て来るまで、会見の天幕にはだれもいてはならない。
18And he shall go out unto the altar that is before the LORD, and make atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the bullock, and of the blood of the goat, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about.
18「彼は主の前にある祭壇のところに出て行き、そのために贖いを行う。牛の血の一部と山羊の血の一部を取り、祭壇の角の周囲に塗る。
19And he shall sprinkle of the blood upon it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and hallow it from the uncleannesses of the children of Israel.
19彼はその血の一部を指で祭壇に七度振りかけ、イスラエルの子らの汚れからそれを清め、聖なるものとする。
20And when he hath made an end of atoning for the holy place, and the tent of meeting, and the altar, he shall present the live goat.
20「聖所、会見の天幕、および祭壇のための贖罪を終えたとき、彼は生きた山羊をささげる。
21And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions, even all their sins; and he shall put them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of an appointed man into the wilderness.
21アロンは生きた山羊の頭に両手を置き、その上でイスラエルの子らのすべての咎と、すべての背き、すなわち彼らのすべての罪を告白する。彼はそれらを山羊の頭に置き、用意された人の手によって荒野に送り出す。
22And the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land which is cut off; and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness.
22山羊は彼らのすべての咎を負って、人里離れた地へ運んで行く。係の者はその山羊を荒野に放つ。
23And Aaron shall come into the tent of meeting, and shall put off the linen garments, which he put on when he went into the holy place, and shall leave them there.
23「アロンは会見の天幕に入り、聖所に入った時に着た亜麻布の衣を脱ぎ、そこに残しておく。
24And he shall bathe his flesh in water in a holy place and put on his other vestments, and come forth, and offer his burnt-offering and the burnt-offering of the people, and make atonement for himself and for the people.
24それから彼は聖なる場所で水で体を洗い、自分の衣服を着て外に出る。そして彼自身の全焼のささげ物と民の全焼のささげ物をささげ、自分と民のために贖いを行う。
25And the fat of the sin-offering shall he make smoke upon the altar.
25彼は贖罪のささげ物の脂肪を祭壇の上で燃やす。
26And he that letteth go the goat for Azazel shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he may come into the camp.
26山羊を荒野に放った者は、衣服を洗い、水で体を洗う。その後、宿営に入ることができる。
27And the bullock of the sin-offering, and the goat of the sin-offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the holy place, shall be carried forth without the camp; and they shall burn in the fire their skins, and their flesh, and their dung.
27聖所で贖いを行うために血が持ち込まれた贖罪のささげ物の牛と、贖罪のささげ物の山羊は、宿営の外に運び出される。人々はその皮、肉、および糞を火で焼く。
28And he that burneth them shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he may come into the camp.
28それらを焼く者は、自分の衣服を洗い、水で体を洗う。その後、彼は宿営に入ることができる。
29And it shall be a statute for ever unto you: in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and shall do no manner of work, the home-born, or the stranger that sojourneth among you.
29「これはあなたがたにとって永遠の掟となる。第七の月の十日には、あなたがたは身を慎み、いかなる仕事もしてはならない。その地に生まれた者であれ、あなたがたの間に住む寄留者であれ、同様である。
30For on this day shall atonement be made for you, to cleanse you; from all your sins shall ye be clean before the LORD.
30この日に、あなたがたを清めるために贖いが行われるからである。あなたがたは主の前で、すべての罪から清くなる。
31It is a sabbath of solemn rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls; it is a statute for ever.
31これはあなたがたにとって全き休みの安息日であり、あなたがたは身を慎む。これは永遠の掟である。
32And the priest, who shall be anointed and who shall be consecrated to be priest in his father's stead, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen garments, even the holy garments.
32油注がれ、父に代わって祭司となるように任職された祭司が、贖いを行う。彼は亜麻布の衣、すなわち聖なる衣を着る。
33And he shall make atonement for the most holy place, and he shall make atonement for the tent of meeting and for the altar; and he shall make atonement for the priests and for all the people of the assembly.
33彼は聖なる聖所のために贖いを行い、会見の天幕と祭壇のために贖いを行う。また、祭司たちと会衆のすべての民のために贖いを行う。
34And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make atonement for the children of Israel because of all their sins once in the year.' And he did as the LORD commanded Moses.
34「これはあなたがたにとって永遠の掟となり、イスラエルの子らのすべての罪のために年に一度、贖いを行うためのものである。」 主がモーセに命じられた通りに事が行われた。
