1Then Job answered and said:
1Na Job el fahk,
2Hear diligently my speech; and let this be your consolations.
2“Porongo ma nga fahk uh; Pwayena ma nga siyuk komtal in akwoyeyu kac.
3Suffer me, that I may speak; and after that I have spoken, mock on.
3Fuhlema kitin pacl luk in kaskas, ac nga fin tari, Na komtal ku in isrunyu, komtal fin lungse.
4As for me, is my complaint to man? Or why should I not be impatient?
4“Alein luk uh tia ma in lain mwet; Oasr sripen semuteng luk uh.
5Turn unto me, and be astonished, and lay your hand upon your mouth.
5Ngetma liyeyu. Ya lumuk tia fal In oru komtal in lut ac kofla kaskas ke komtal suiyuwi uh?
6Even when I remember I am affrighted, and horror hath taketh hold on my flesh.
6Ke nga nunku ma sikyak nu sik uh, Nga arulana oela, ac rarak ke sangeng.
7Wherefore do the wicked live, become old, yea, wax mighty in power?
7“Efu ku God El lela mwet koluk uh in moul, Nwe ke na elos matuoh, ac wona nu selos?
8Their seed is established in their sight with them, and their offspring before their eyes.
8Oasr tulik natulos ac nutin natulos, Ac elos moulna muta nwe ke na elos liye ke tulik inge matula uh.
9Their houses are safe, without fear, neither is the rod of God upon them.
9God El tiana sang ongoiya nu ke lohm selos uh; Ac elos tia wi pula mwe aksangeng uh.
10Their bull gendereth, and faileth not; their cow calveth, and casteth not her calf.
10Aok, cow mukul natulos orek fahko, wo ouiya pacl nukewa, Ac cow mutan uh oswela ma natulos wanginna ma misa.
11They send forth their little ones like a flock, and their children dance.
11Tulik natulos uh kasrusrsrusr na srital oana sheep fusr uh,
12They sing to the timbrel and harp, and rejoice at the sound of the pipe.
12Ac onsrosro nu ke pusren mwe on harp ac flute.
13They spend their days in prosperity, and peacefully they go down to the grave.
13Elos moul ke moul na misla Ac pacl in misa lalos uh, elos ac misa na in misla ac tiana keok.
14Yet they said unto God: 'Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of Thy ways.
14“Mwet koluk uh fahk nu sin God, ‘Fahsr liki kut! Mansis kut in tia etu ma kom lungse.
15What is the Almighty, that we should serve Him? And what profit should we have, if we pray unto Him?' —
15Su Ku liki Ku inge tuh kut in orekma nu sel? Mea, ac oasr ma wo nu sesr kut fin pre nu sel?’
16Lo, their prosperity is not in their hand; the counsel of the wicked is far from me.
16Elos fahk mu wo ouiya lalos uh ma na ke ku lalos sifacna, Tusruktu nga tia ku in insese nu ke luman nunak lalos inge.
17How oft is it that the lamp of the wicked is put out? that their calamity cometh upon them? that He distributeth pains in His anger?
17“Ku nu oasr pacl ma kuniyukla kalem lun mwet koluk uh? Ku nu oasr sie selos pula mwe ongoiya? Nu oasr pacl God El kai mwet koluk uh ke kasrkusrak
18That they are as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that the storm stealeth away?
18Ac okulosla oana mah uh ke eng upa, Ku oana kutkut ma sohkla ke pacl in paka uh?
19'God layeth up his iniquity for his children!' — let Him recompense it unto himself, that he may know it.
19“Komtal fahk mu God El akkeokye sie tulik ke sripen ma koluk lun papa tumal uh. Mo! Lela God Elan akkeokye na mwet se ma orekma koluk an; Lela in kalem selos lah God El oru ouinge ke sripen koluk ma elos sifacna oru.
20Let his own eyes see his destruction, and let him drink of the wrath of the Almighty.
20Lela mwet koluk uh in sifacna us mwatan ma koluk lalos an; Lela elos in pula kasrkusrak lun God Kulana.
21For what pleasure hath he in his house after him? seeing the number of his months is determined.
21Moul lun sie mwet fin safla, Mea pwaye lah ac oasr nunak lal ke tulik natul, lah elos engan ku tia?
22Shall any teach God knowledge? seeing it is He that judgeth those that are high.
22Mea, mwet uh ku in luti God, Su nununku mwet nukewa, finne elos su muta yen fulat?
23One dieth in his full strength, being wholly at ease and quiet;
23“Sie kain mwet ac misa ke pacl na ma yohk wo ouiya nu sel, Ac el mutana okak ac misla.
24His pails are full of milk, and the marrow of his bones is moistened.
24Manol factfat na wo, ac koanon sri kacl uh srakna ku.
25And another dieth in bitterness of soul, and hath never tasted of good.
25A sie kain mwet uh wangin na pwaye engan lal; El inse toasr na ke el moul nwe ke na el misa.
26They lie down alike in the dust, and the worm covereth them.
26Tusruktu elos kewa ac oana sie: elos ac misa, pukpuki, Ac manolos afla ke wet.
27Behold, I know your thoughts, and the devices which ye wrongfully imagine against me.
27“Nga etu nunak koluk lomtal ingan.
28For ye say: 'Where is the house of the prince? And where is the tent wherein the wicked dwelt?'
28Komtal fahk, ‘Pia lohm sin leum sac inge; Mwet se ma mutana oru ma koluk?’
29Have ye not asked them that go by the way; and will ye misdeem their tokens,
29“Ku komtal soenna wi sramsram nu sin mwet ma muta forfor nu saya uh? Komtal tiana etu kain mwe sramsram ma elos ac som nwe foloko srumun uh?
30That the evil man is reserved to the day of calamity, that they are led forth to the day of wrath?
30Ke len ma God El ac kasrkusrak ac akkeokye mwet uh, Mwet koluk uc wacna tia pula ma upa.
31But who shall declare his way to his face? And who shall repay him what he hath done?
31Wanginna mwet muta tukakin mwet koluk uh, Ku folokin nu sel ke ma koluk nukewa ma el orala.
32For he is borne to the grave, and watch is kept over his tomb.
32Ke el ac utukla nu ke kulyuk uh, Nu ke luf kial su arulana taranyuk wo,
33The clods of the valley are sweet unto him, and all men draw after him, as there were innumerable before him.
33Mwet puspis ac fah wi fahsr nu ke pukmas uh, Ac finne fohkon acn uh, ac fah arulana mulala nu facl.
34How then comfort ye me in vain? And as for your answers, there remaineth only faithlessness?
34“A komtal! Komtal srike in akwoyeyu ke kas lusrongten! Top lomtal an kikiap nufon!”
