1Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where the LORD appeared unto David his father; for which provision had been made in the Place of David, in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.
1โซโลมอนเริ่มสร้างพระวิหารของพระยาห์เวห์บนภูเขาโมรียาห์ในเยรูซาเล็ม ซึ่งพระยาห์เวห์เคยทรงปรากฏแก่ดาวิดบิดาของเขา โซโลมอนเตรียมสถานที่ก่อสร้างบนลานนวดข้าวของโอรนันชาวเยบุส ตามที่ดาวิดกำหนดไว้
2And he began to build in the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.
2เขาเริ่มก่อสร้างในวันที่ 2 เดือนที่ 2 ปีที่ 4 แห่งรัชกาล
3Now these are the foundations which Solomon laid for the building of the house of God. The length by cubits after the ancient measure was threescore cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.
3ขนาดพระวิหารของพระเจ้าตามฐานรากที่โซโลมอนวางไว้ โดยใช้ศอกตามมาตราเดิม คือยาว 60 ศอก กว้าง 20 ศอก
4And the porch that was before the house, the length of it, according to the breadth of the house, was twenty cubits, and the height a hundred and twenty; and he overlaid it within with pure gold.
4มุขหน้าอาคารยาว 20 ศอก เท่ากับความกว้างของพระวิหาร และสูง 120 ศอก ด้านในมุขกรุด้วยทองคำบริสุทธิ์
5And the greater house he covered with cypress-wood, which he overlaid with fine gold, and wrought thereon palm-trees and chains.
5ห้องโถงใหญ่กรุเพดานด้วยไม้สนไซเปรส ปิดทับด้วยทองคำเนื้อดี แล้วประดับลายต้นอินทผลัมกับลายโซ่
6And he garnished the house with precious stones for beauty; and the gold was gold of Parvaim.
6โซโลมอนประดับพระวิหารด้วยอัญมณีให้งดงาม ทองคำที่ใช้มาจากปารวาอิม
7He overlaid also the house, the beams, the thresholds, and the walls thereof, and the doors thereof, with gold; and graved cherubim on the walls.
7เขาปิดทองตัวอาคาร คาน ธรณีประตู ผนัง และบานประตู ทั้งสลักภาพเครูบไว้บนผนัง
8And he made the most holy place; the length thereof, according to the breadth of the house, was twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits; and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents.
8เขาสร้างห้องบริสุทธิ์ที่สุด ยาว 20 ศอกเท่ากับความกว้างของพระวิหาร และกว้าง 20 ศอก แล้วกรุด้วยทองคำเนื้อดีหนัก 600 ตะลันต์
9And the weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. And he overlaid the upper chambers with gold.
9ตะปูทองคำหนัก 50 เชเขล เขาปิดทองห้องชั้นบนด้วย
10And in the most holy place he made two cherubim of image work; and they overlaid them with gold.
10ภายในห้องบริสุทธิ์ที่สุด เขาทำรูปเครูบแกะสลัก 2 ตนแล้วปิดทอง
11And the wings of the cherubim were twenty cubits long: the wing of the one cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing was likewise five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.
11ปีกของเครูบทั้งสองกางออกกว้างรวม 20 ศอก ปีกข้างหนึ่งของเครูบตนแรกยาว 5 ศอก จรดผนังพระวิหาร ส่วนปีกอีกข้างยาว 5 ศอก จรดปีกของเครูบอีกตน
12And the wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing was five cubits also, joining to the wing of the other cherub.
12ปีกข้างหนึ่งของเครูบตนที่สองยาว 5 ศอก จรดผนังพระวิหาร ส่วนปีกอีกข้างยาว 5 ศอก จรดปีกของเครูบตนแรก
13The wings of these cherubim spread themselves forth twenty cubits; and they stood on their feet, and their faces were inward.
13เครูบทั้งสองยืนอยู่บนเท้า กางปีกกว้างรวม 20 ศอก และหันหน้าไปทางตัวพระวิหาร
14And he made the veil of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and wrought cherubim thereon.
14เขาทำม่านจากผ้าสีฟ้า สีม่วง สีแดงเข้ม และผ้าลินินเนื้อละเอียด แล้วประดับภาพเครูบบนม่าน
15Also he made before the house two pillars of thirty and five cubits high, and the capital that was on the top of each of them was five cubits.
15ด้านหน้าพระวิหาร เขาสร้างเสา 2 ต้น สูงต้นละ 35 ศอก ส่วนหัวเสาที่อยู่บนเสาแต่ละต้นสูง 5 ศอก
16And he made chains in the Sanctuary, and put them on the tops of the pillars; and he made a hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains.
16เขาทำโซ่ไว้ในห้องชั้นใน แล้วนำไปติดบนยอดเสา และทำผลทับทิมประดับโซ่ 100 ผล
17And he set up the pillars before the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left; and called the name of that on the right hand Jachin, and the name of that on the left Boaz.
17เขาตั้งเสาทั้งสองหน้าพระวิหาร เสาด้านขวาชื่อยาคีน ด้านซ้ายชื่อโบอาส
