1And the Lord said to Moses: Now thou shalt see what I will do to Pharao: for by a mighty hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he cast them out of his land.
1耶和華對 摩西 說：「現在你必看見我向法老所行的事，使他因我大能的手容 以色列 人去，且把他們趕出他的地。」
2And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: I am the Lord,
2上帝曉諭 摩西 說：「我是耶和華。
3That appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, by the name of God Almighty; and my name ADONAI I did not shew them.
3我從前向 亞伯拉罕 、 以撒 、 雅各 顯現為全能的上帝；至於我名耶和華，他們未曾知道。
4And I made a covenant with them, to give them the land of Chanaan, the land of their pilgrimage wherein they were strangers.
4我與他們堅定所立的約，要把他們寄居的 迦南 地賜給他們。
5I have heard the groaning of the children of Israel, wherewith the Egyptians have oppressed them: and I have remembered my covenant.
5我也聽見 以色列 人被 埃及 人苦待的哀聲，我也記念我的約。
6Therefore say to the children of Israel: I am the Lord who will bring you out from the work prison of the Egyptians, and will deliver you from bondage: and redeem you with a high arm, and great judgments.
6所以你要對 以色列 人說：『我是耶和華；我要用伸出來的膀臂重重地刑罰 埃及 人，救贖你們脫離他們的重擔，不做他們的苦工。
7And I will take you to myself for my people, I will be your God: and you shall know that I am the Lord your God who brought you out from the work prison of the Egyptians.
7我要以你們為我的百姓，我也要作你們的上帝。你們要知道我是耶和華－你們的上帝，是救你們脫離 埃及 人之重擔的。
8And brought you into the land, concerning which I lifted up my hand to give it to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and I will give it you to possess, I am the Lord.
8我起誓應許給 亞伯拉罕 、 以撒 、 雅各 的那地，我要把你們領進去，將那地賜給你們為業。我是耶和華。』」
9And Moses told all this to the children of Israel: but they did not hearken to him, for anguish of spirit, and most painful work.
9摩西 將這話告訴 以色列 人，只是他們因苦工愁煩，不肯聽他的話。
10And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
10耶和華曉諭 摩西 說：
11Go in, and speak to Pharao king of Egypt, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.
11「你進去對 埃及 王法老說，要容 以色列 人出他的地。」
12Moses answered before the Lord Behold the children of Israel do no hearken to me; and how will Pharao hear me, especially as I am of uncircumcised lips?
12摩西 在耶和華面前說：「 以色列 人尚且不聽我的話，法老怎肯聽我這拙口笨舌的人呢？」
13And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, and he gave them a charge unto the children of Israel, and unto Pharao the king of Egypt, that they should bring forth the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.
13耶和華吩咐 摩西 、 亞倫 往 以色列 人和 埃及 王法老那裏去，把 以色列 人從 埃及 地領出來。
14These are the heads of their house by their families. The sons of Rubel the firstborn of Israel: Henoch and Phallu, Hesron and Charmi.
14以色列 人家長的名字記在下面。 以色列 長子 呂便 的兒子是 哈諾 、 法路 、 希斯倫 、 迦米 ；這是 呂便 的各家。
15These are the kindreds of Ruben. The sons of Simeon: Jamuel, and Jamin and Ahod, and Jachin, and Soar, and Saul the son of a Chanaanitess: these are the families of Simeon.
15西緬 的兒子是 耶母利 、 雅憫 、 阿轄 、 雅斤 、 瑣轄 ，和 迦南 女子的兒子 掃羅 ；這是 西緬 的各家。
16And these are the names of the sons of Levi by their kindreds: Gerson, and Caath, and Merari. And the years of the life of Levi were a hundred and thirty seven.
16利未 眾子的名字按着他們的後代記在下面：就是 革順 、 哥轄 、 米拉利 。 利未 一生的歲數是一百三十七歲。
17The sons of Gerson: Lobni and Semei, by their kindreds.
17革順 的兒子按着家室是 立尼 、 示每 。
18The sons of Caath: Amram, and Isaar, and Hebron, and Oziel. And the years of Caath’s life were a hundred and thirty-three.
18哥轄 的兒子是 暗蘭 、 以斯哈 、 希伯倫 、 烏薛 。 哥轄 一生的歲數是一百三十三歲。
19The sons of Merari: Moholi and Musi. These are the kindreds of Levi by their families.
19米拉利 的兒子是 抹利 和 母示 ；這是 利未 的家，都按着他們的後代。
20And Amram took to wife Jochabed his aunt by the father’s side: and she bore him Aaron and Moses. And the years of Amram’s life were a hundred and thirty-seven.
20暗蘭 娶了他父親的妹妹 約基別 為妻，她給他生了 亞倫 和 摩西 。 暗蘭 一生的歲數是一百三十七歲。
21The sons also of Isaar: Core, and Nepheg, and Zechri.
21以斯哈 的兒子是 可拉 、 尼斐 、 細基利 。
22The sons also of Oziel: Mizael, and Elizaphan, and Sethri.
22烏薛 的兒子是 米沙利 、 以利撒反 、 西提利 。
23And Aaron took to wife Elizabeth the daughter of Aminadab, sister of Nahason, who bore him Nadab, and Abiu, and Eleazar, and Ithamar.
23亞倫 娶了 亞米拿達 的女兒， 拿順 的妹妹， 以利沙巴 為妻，她給他生了 拿答 、 亞比戶 、 以利亞撒 、 以他瑪 。
24The sons also of Core: Aser, and Elcana, and Abiasaph. These are the kindreds of the Corites.
24可拉 的兒子是 亞惜 、 以利加拿 、 亞比亞撒 ；這是 可拉 的各家。
25But Eleazar the son of Aaron took a wife of the daughters of Phutiel: and she bore him Phinees. These are the heads of the Levitical families by their kindreds.
25亞倫 的兒子 以利亞撒 娶了 普鐵 的一個女兒為妻，她給他生了 非尼哈 。這是 利未 人的家長，都按着他們的家。
26These are Aaron and Moses, whom the Lord commanded to bring forth the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their companies.
26耶和華說：「將 以色列 人按着他們的軍隊從 埃及 地領出來。」這是對那 亞倫 、 摩西 說的。
27These are they that speak to Pharao king of Egypt, in order to bring out the children of Israel from Egypt: these are that Moses and Aaron,
27對 埃及 王法老說要將 以色列 人從 埃及 領出來的，就是這 摩西 、 亞倫 。
28In the day when the Lord spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt.
28當耶和華在 埃及 地對 摩西 說話的日子，
29And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: I am the Lord: speak thou to Pharao king of Egypt all that I say to thee.
29他向 摩西 說：「我是耶和華；我對你說的一切話，你都要告訴 埃及 王法老。」
30And Moses said before the Lord: Lo I am of uncircumcised lips, how will Pharao hear me?
30摩西 在耶和華面前說：「看哪，我是拙口笨舌的人，法老怎肯聽我呢？」
