1And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
1耶和華曉諭 摩西 說：
2Speak to the children of Israel: Let them turn and encamp over against Phihahiroth which is between Magdal and the sea over against Beelsephon: you shall encamp before it upon the sea.
2「你吩咐 以色列 人轉回，安營在 比‧哈希錄 前， 密奪 和海的中間，對着 巴力‧洗分 ，靠近海邊安營。
3And Pharao will say of the children of Israel: They are straitened in the land, the desert hath shut them in.
3法老必說：『 以色列 人在地中繞迷了，曠野把他們困住了。』
4And I shall harden his heart, and he will pursue you: and I shall be glorified in Pharao, and in all his army: and the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord. And they did so.
4我要使法老的心剛硬，他要追趕他們，我便在法老和他全軍身上得榮耀； 埃及 人就知道我是耶和華。」於是 以色列 人這樣行了。
5And it was told the king of the Egyptians that the people was fled: and the heart of Pharao and of his servants was changed with regard to the people, and they said: What meant we to do, that we let Israel go from serving us?
5有人告訴 埃及 王說：「百姓逃跑。」法老和他的臣僕就向百姓變心，說：「我們容 以色列 人去，不再服事我們，這做的是甚麼事呢？」
6So he made ready his chariot, and took all his people with him.
6法老就預備他的車輛，帶領軍兵同去，
7And he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots that were in Egypt: and the captains of the whole army.
7並帶着六百輛特選的車和 埃及 所有的車，每輛都有車兵長。
8And the Lord hardened the heart of Pharao king of Egypt, and he pursued the children of Israel: but they were gone forth in a mighty hand.
8耶和華使 埃及 王法老的心剛硬，他就追趕 以色列 人，因為 以色列 人是昂然無懼地出 埃及 。
9And when the Egyptians followed the steps of them who were gone before, they found them encamped at the sea side: all Pharao’s horse and chariots, and the whole army were in Phihahiroth before Beelsephon.
9埃及 人追趕他們，法老一切的馬匹、車輛、馬兵，與軍兵就在海邊上，靠近 比‧哈希錄 ，對着 巴力‧洗分 ，在他們安營的地方追上了。
10And when Pharao drew near, the children of Israel, lifting up their eyes, saw the Egyptians behind them: and they feared exceedingly, and cried to the Lord.
10法老臨近的時候， 以色列 人舉目看見 埃及 人趕來，就甚懼怕，向耶和華哀求。
11And they said to Moses: Perhaps there were no graves in Egypt, therefore thou hast brought us to die in the wilderness: why wouldst thou do this, to lead us out of Egypt?
11他們對 摩西 說：「難道在 埃及 沒有墳地，你把我們帶來死在曠野嗎？你為甚麼這樣待我們，將我們從 埃及 領出來呢？
12Is not this the word that we spoke to thee in Egypt, saying: Depart from us that we may serve the Egyptians? for it was much better to serve them, than to die in the wilderness.
12我們在 埃及 豈沒有對你說過，不要攪擾我們，容我們服事 埃及 人嗎？因為服事 埃及 人比死在曠野還好。」
13And Moses said to the people: Fear not: stand and see the great wonders of the Lord, which he will do this day: for the Egyptians, whom you see now, you shall see no more for ever.
13摩西 對百姓說：「不要懼怕，只管站住！看耶和華今天向你們所要施行的救恩。因為，你們今天所看見的 埃及 人必永遠不再看見了。
14The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.
14耶和華必為你們爭戰；你們只管靜默，不要作聲。」
15And the Lord said to Moses: Why criest thou to me? Speak to the children of Israel to go forward.
15耶和華對 摩西 說：「你為甚麼向我哀求呢？你吩咐 以色列 人往前走。
16But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch forth thy hand over the sea, and divide it: that the children of Israel may go through the midst of the sea on dry ground.
16你舉手向海伸杖，把水分開。 以色列 人要下海中走乾地。
17And I will harden the heart of the Egyptians to pursue you: and I will be glorified in Pharao, and in all his host, and in his chariots, and in his horsemen.
17我要使 埃及 人的心剛硬，他們就跟着下去。我要在法老和他的全軍、車輛、馬兵上得榮耀。
18And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall be glorified in Pharao, and in his chariots and in his horsemen.
18我在法老和他的車輛、馬兵上得榮耀的時候， 埃及 人就知道我是耶和華了。」
19And the angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, removing, went behind them: and together with him the pillar of the cloud, leaving the forepart,
19在 以色列 營前行走上帝的使者，轉到他們後邊去；雲柱也從他們前邊轉到他們後邊立住。
20Stood behind, between the Egyptians’ camp and the camp of Israel: and it was a dark cloud, and enlightening the night, so that they could not come at one another all the night.
20在 埃及 營和 以色列 營中間有雲柱，一邊黑暗，一邊發光，終夜兩下不得相近。
21And when Moses had stretched forth his hand over the sea, the Lord took it away by a strong and burning wind blowing all the night, and turned it into dry ground: and the water was divided.
21摩西 向海伸杖，耶和華便用大東風，使海水一夜退去，水便分開，海就成了乾地。
22And the children of Israel went in through the midst of the sea dried up: for the water was as a wall on their right hand and on their left.
22以色列 人下海中走乾地，水在他們的左右作了牆垣。
23And the Egyptians pursuing went in after them, and all Pharao’s horses, his chariots and horsemen through the midst of the sea,
23埃及 人追趕他們，法老一切的馬匹、車輛，和馬兵都跟着下到海中。
24And now the morning watch was come, and behold the Lord looking upon the Egyptian army through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, slew their host.
24到了晨更的時候，耶和華從雲火柱中向 埃及 的軍兵觀看，使 埃及 的軍兵混亂了；
25And overthrew the wheels of the chariots, and they were carried into the deep. And the Egyptians said: Let us flee from Israel: for the Lord fighteth for them against us.
25又使他們的車輪脫落，難以行走，以致 埃及 人說：「我們從 以色列 人面前逃跑吧！因耶和華為他們攻擊我們了。」
26And the Lord said to Moses: Stretch forth they hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots and horsemen.
26耶和華對 摩西 說：「你向海伸杖，叫水仍合在 埃及 人並他們的車輛、馬兵身上。」
27And when Moses had stretched forth his hand towards the sea, it returned at the first break of day to the former place: and as the Egyptians were fleeing away, the waters came upon them, and the Lord shut them up in the middle of the waves.
27摩西 就向海伸杖，到了天一亮，海水仍舊復原。 埃及 人避水逃跑的時候，耶和華把他們推翻在海中，
28And the waters returned, and covered the chariots and the horsemen of all the army of Pharao, who had come into the sea after them, neither did there so much as one of them remain.
28水就回流，淹沒了車輛和馬兵。那些跟着 以色列 人下海法老的全軍，連一個也沒有剩下。
29But the children of Israel marched through the midst of the sea upon dry land, and the waters were to them as a wall on the right hand and on the left:
29以色列 人卻在海中走乾地；水在他們的左右作了牆垣。
30And the Lord delivered Israel on that day out of the hands of the Egyptians.
30當日，耶和華這樣拯救 以色列 人脫離 埃及 人的手， 以色列 人看見 埃及 人的死屍都在海邊了。
31And they saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore, and the mighty hand that the Lord had used against them: and the people feared the Lord, and they believed the Lord, and Moses his servant.
31以色列 人看見耶和華向 埃及 人所行的大事，就敬畏耶和華，又信服他和他的僕人 摩西 。
