Asang Khongca Bible (Eastern Khumi Chin, 2019)
1And as they were speaking to the people, the priests, and the officer of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,
1Nihnik mah kaminawk khaeah lokthuih hoi li naah, qaimanawk, tempul thungah toksah kaminawk hoi Sadusinawk nihcae khaeah angzoh o,
2Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached in Jesus the resurrection from the dead:
2patoeh ih kami hnik mah kaminawk to patuk hoi moe, duekhaih thung hoi kangthawk let Jesu kawng to thuih hoi pongah, nihcae loe palungphui o.
3And they laid hands upon them, and put them in hold till the next day; for it was now evening.
3Nihcae mah patoeh ih kami hnik to naeh o, niduem boeh pongah, nihnik to khawnbang karoek to thongim pakhrak o.
4But many of them who had heard the word, believed; and the number of the men was made five thousand.
4To tiah oh langlacadoeh, lok thaih pop parai kaminawk mah tanghaih to tawnh o; to naah tang kaminawk sang pangato phak o.
5And it came to pass on the morrow, that their princes, and ancients, and scribes, were gathered together in Jerusalem;
5Khawnbang phak naah loe, ukkungnawk, kacoehtanawk hoi ca tarik kaminawk,
6And Annas the high priest, and Caiphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest.
6kalen koek qaima Anna, Kaiapha, Johan, Alexander hoi kalen koek qaima ih imthung takoh boih Jerusalem ah amkhueng o.
7And setting them in the midst, they asked: By what power, or by what name, have you done this?
7Nihnik to kaminawk salakah suek o moe, Naa ih sakthaihaih hoiah maw, to tih ai boeh loe mi ih ahmin hoiah maw hae hmuen hae na sak hoi? tiah lok a dueng o.
8Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said to them: Ye princes of the people, and ancients, hear:
8Piter loe Kacai Muithla hoiah koi moe, nihcae khaeah, Nangcae kami ukkungnawk hoi Israel kacoehtanawk,
9If we this day are examined concerning the good deed done to the infirm man, by what means he hath been made whole:
9vai hniah tha kahnaem kami maeto nuiah kahoih hmuen sak pongah kawbangah maw ngan a tui, tiah lokdueng han ih nang kawk o nahaeloe;
10Be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God hath raised from the dead, even by him this man standeth here before you whole.
10nangcae hoi Israel kaminawk boih mah, hae hmuen hae panoek o ah, thinglam pongah na takhing o boeh, toe Sithaw mah duekhaih thung hoiah pathawk let ih, Nazareth Jesu Kri rang hoiah ni nangcae hma ah angdoe hae kami hae ngan a tui.
11This is the stone which was rejected by you the builders, which is become the head of the corner.
11Hae loe nangcae imsah kaminawk mah na pahnawt o sut ih thlung ah oh, to thlung loe kahoih koek im takii ih thlung ah angcoeng boeh.
12Neither is there salvation in any other. For there is no other name under heaven given to men, whereby we must be saved.
12Kalah pahlonghaih roe om ai: van tlim ah kaom kaminawk thungah aicae pahlong thaih ahmin kalah tidoeh om ai, tiah a naa.
13Now seeing the constancy of Peter and of John, understanding that they were illiterate and ignorant men, they wondered; and they knew them that they had been with Jesus.
13Piter hoi Johan loe ca amtuk ai kami, kami rumram ni, tito nihcae mah panoek o moe, nihnik ih misahoihaih to hnuk o naah, nihcae loe dawnrai o; toe nihcae mah hae kami hnik loe Jesu hoi nawnto kaom kami ni, tito panoek o.
14Seeing the man also who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.
14Nihnik hoi nawnto angdoe ngantui kami to doeh a hnuk o, toe anih hanah loe kawbangah doeh naa o ai.
15But they commanded them to go aside out of the council; and they conferred among themselves,
15Toe nihnik to lokcaekhaih ahmuen hoiah tacawtsak pacoengah, angmacae hoi angmacae lok angdueng o,
16Saying: What shall we do to these men? for indeed a known miracle hath been done by them, to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem: it is manifest, and we cannot deny it.
16hae kami hnik hae kawbangmaw a sak o han? Nihnik mah sak ih dawnrai hmuen loe Jerusalem ah kaom kaminawk boih mah hnuk o boeh, to pongah aicae mah aek thai mak ai boeh.
17But that it may be no farther spread among the people, let us threaten them that they speak no more in this name to any man.
17Kaminawk salakah amthang let han ai hoi hae kami ih ahmin hoiah mi khaeah doeh lok a thuih hoi han ai ah, nihnik to pazih si, tiah a thuih o.
18And calling them, they charged them not to speak at all, nor teach in the name of Jesus.
18To pongah nihnik to a kawk o moe, Jesu ih ahmin hoiah patuk moe, lok roe thuih han ai ah lokthuih pae o.
19But Peter and John answering, said to them: If it be just in the sight of God, to hear you rather than God, judge ye.
19Piter hoi Johan mah nihcae khaeah, Sithaw mikhnuk ah Sithaw ih lok tahngaih pongah nangcae ih lok tahngaih han hoih kue maw, hoih kue ai tito nangmacae mah lok takroek oh.
20For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.
20Kaihnik loe ka hnuk hoi moe, ka thaih hoi ih hmuen to thui ai ah kaom hoi thai ai, tiah a naa hoi.
21But they threatening, sent them away, not finding how they might punish them, because of the people; for all men glorified what had been done, in that which had come to pass.
21To tiah a sak hoi ih hmuen pongah, kaminawk boih mah Sithaw ih ahmin to pakoeh o pongah, nihnik to danpaek o thai ai, to pongah nihcae mah nihnik to pazih o pacoengah, prawt o let,
22For the man was above forty years old, in whom that miraculous cure had been wrought.
22dawnrai koi kaom ah ngantuisak ih kami loe saning quipalito ranuih ah oh boeh.
23And being let go, they came to their own company, and related all that the chief priests and ancients had said to them.
23Nihnik loih hoi pacoengah angmacae ampuinawk khaeah caeh hoi moe, kalen koek qaima hoi kacoehtanawk mah nihnik khaeah thuih ih loknawk to thuih pae hoi boih.
24Who having heard it, with one accord lifted up their voice to God, and said: Lord, thou art he that didst make heaven and earth, the sea, and all things that are in them.
24To loknawk to a thaih o naah, poek maeto hoiah Sithaw khaeah, Angraeng, nang loe van, long, tuipui hoi a thungah kaom hmuennawk boih sahkung Sithaw ah na oh, tiah hangh o:
25Who, by the Holy Ghost, by the mouth of our father David, thy servant, hast said: Why did the Gentiles rage, and the people meditate vain things?
25na tamna David ih pakha hoiah, Tipongah maw Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk loe palungphui o moe, kaminawk mah avang ai hmuennawk to poek o?
26The kings of the earth stood up, and the princes assembled together against the Lord and his Christ.
26Long siangpahrangnawk loe angdoet o, ukkungnawk loe nawnto amkhueng o moe, Angraeng hoi Anih ih Kri to misa ah suek o, tiah lok na thuih.
27For of a truth there assembled together in this city against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel,
27Tangtang ni, Herod, Pilat, Gentelnawk hoi Israelnawk mah situi na bawh ih, ciimcai nawkta Jesu to koeh o ai,
28To do what thy hand and thy counsel decreed to be done.
28canghnii hoi lok na takroek tangcae baktih toengah, na koehhaih to a sak o hanah, nihcae loe nawnto amkhueng o.
29And now, Lord, behold their threatenings, and grant unto thy servants, that with all confidence they may speak thy word,
29Angraeng, vaihi nihcae mah pazih ih loknawk to poek ah loe, misahoihaih boih hoiah na lok to a thuih o thai hanah, na tamnanawk to abom ah,
30By stretching forth thy hand to cures, and signs, and wonders to be done by the name of thy holy Son Jesus.
30nangmah ih kaciim nawkta Jesu ih ahmin hoiah, ngantuihaih, angmathaih hoi dawnrai hmuennawk sak hanah, na ban to payueng ah, tiah lawk a thuih o.
31And when they had prayed, the place was moved wherein they were assembled; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spoke the word of God with confidence.
31Nihcae mah lawkthuih o naah, nihcae nawnto amkhuenghaih ahmuen to anghuen; nihcae loe Kacai Muithla hoiah koi o boih moe, Sithaw lok to misahoihaih hoiah a thuih o.
32And the multitude of believers had but one heart and one soul: neither did any one say that aught of the things which he possessed, was his own; but all things were common unto them.
32Tanghaih tawn paroeai kaminawk loe, poekhaih palung maeto ah amhong o: mi mah doeh a tawnh ih hmuen to angmah ih hmuen ah poek o ai; nihcae loe hmuen to nawnto patoh angbomh o boih.
33And with great power did the apostles give testimony of the resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord; and great grace was in them all.
33Patoeh ih kaminawk mah kalen thacakhaih hoiah Angraeng Jesu angthawk lethaih hnukung ah ohhaih kawng to taphong o, nihcae nui boih ah kalen parai tahmenhaih to oh.
34For neither was there any one needy among them. For as many as were owners of lands or houses, sold them, and brought the price of the things they sold,
34Nihcae thungah kavawt kami mi doeh om ai: long hoi im tawn kaminawk loe long hoi im to zawh o moe, a zawh o ih hmuenmae tho to a sin o,
35And laid it down before the feet of the apostles. And distribution was made to every one, according as he had need.
35patoeh kaminawk ih khokkung ah a suek o moe, angaih kaminawk hanah pazet o.
36And Joseph, who, by the apostles, was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, by interpretation, The son of consolation,) a Levite, a Cyprian born,
36Cyprus prae ih Levi kami Jose, patoeh ih kaminawk mah loe anih to Barnaba (pathloep ah kaom capa, tiah thuih koehhaih ih ni) tiah kawk o, anih mah,
37Having land, sold it, and brought the price, and laid it at the feet of the apostles.
37a tawnh ih long to zawh moe, tangka to patoeh ih kaminawk khokkung ah sinh.
