1And as they were speaking to the people, the priests, and the officer of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,
1Pilnam ham a thui uh vaengah khosoih rhoek, bawkim kah imtawt boei neh Sadducee rhoek loh amih te a paan uh.
2Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached in Jesus the resurrection from the dead:
2Pilnam a thuituen tih duek lamloh thohkoepnah te Jesuh rhangneh a doek dongah a yakdam uh.
3And they laid hands upon them, and put them in hold till the next day; for it was now evening.
3Te dongah amih rhoi te kut a hlah thil uh tih a vuen duela thongim ah a khueh uh. Te vaengah hlaemhmah la om coeng.
4But many of them who had heard the word, believed; and the number of the men was made five thousand.
4Tedae ol aka hnatun rhoek a yet ngai long tah a tangnah uh dongah hlang he hlangmi la thawng nga tluk lo uh.
5And it came to pass on the morrow, that their princes, and ancients, and scribes, were gathered together in Jerusalem;
5A vuen a pha vaengah a boei rhoek, patong rhoek neh cadaek rhoek te Jerusalem ah tingtun uh.
6And Annas the high priest, and Caiphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest.
6Te vaengah khosoihham Annas neh Kaiaphas, Johan, Alexander neh namtom khuikah khosoihpuei khaw boeih om uh.
7And setting them in the midst, they asked: By what power, or by what name, have you done this?
7Amih rhoi te a laklung ah a pai sak uh tih, “Mebang thaomnah, u ming nen lae he he na saii rhoi, “tila a cae uh.
8Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said to them: Ye princes of the people, and ancients, hear:
8Peter tah mueihla cim neh a bae dongah amih te, “Pilnam kah boei rhoek neh patong rhoek,
9If we this day are examined concerning the good deed done to the infirm man, by what means he hath been made whole:
9Tattloel hlang pakhat sokah bibi then kongah tihnin ah boelh la ka om rhoi atah, ba nen lae anih a hoeih.
10Be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God hath raised from the dead, even by him this man standeth here before you whole.
10Nazareth Jesuh Khrih ming nen ni tila nangmih boeih neh Israel pilnam boeih loh hmat la om saeh. Anih te na tai uh dae a Pathen loh duek khui lamkah a thoh coeng. Anih rhangnen ni he hlangtlo loh nangmih hmaiah sading la a pai.
11This is the stone which was rejected by you the builders, which is become the head of the corner.
11Amah tah nangmih imsa rhoek loh a hnaelcoe lungto la om dae imkil kah tlungyun la poeh coeng.
12Neither is there salvation in any other. For there is no other name under heaven given to men, whereby we must be saved.
12Te dongah khangnah long he a tloe mebang dongah khaw a om moenih. Mamih aka khang ham a kuek tih vaan hmuikah hlang lakliah a paek he ming tloe a om moenih,” a ti nah.
13Now seeing the constancy of Peter and of John, understanding that they were illiterate and ignorant men, they wondered; and they knew them that they had been with Jesus.
13Te vaengah Peter neh Johan kah a sayalh te a hmuh uh tih caa aka ming mueh hlang neh hlangthawt ni tite a hmuhming uh. Te phoeiah amih rhoi te Jesuh taengah om rhoi ti khaw a ming uh tih a ngai hmang uh.
14Seeing the man also who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.
14Aka hoeih tih amih rhoi taengah aka pai hlang te khaw a hmuh uh dongah oelh ham khaw om voel pawh.
15But they commanded them to go aside out of the council; and they conferred among themselves,
15Te dongah amih rhoi te khoboei im kah poengla caeh ham ol a paek uh.
16Saying: What shall we do to these men? for indeed a known miracle hath been done by them, to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem: it is manifest, and we cannot deny it.
16Khat neh khat a nuemnai uh tih, “Hekah hlang rhoi he metlam n'saii uh eh. Amih rhoi pum dongah miknoek loh a poekhloep la tueng coeng tih Jerusalem kah khosa rhoek boeih ham khaw rhep a mingpha coeng dongah hnawt ham a coeng moenih.
17But that it may be no farther spread among the people, let us threaten them that they speak no more in this name to any man.
17Tedae pilnam taengla yilh a caeh voel pawt ham, a ming neh hlang pakhat taengah khaw thui pawt ham mah amih he hihham uh sih,” a ti uh.
18And calling them, they charged them not to speak at all, nor teach in the name of Jesus.
18Te dongah amih rhoi te a khue uh tih Jesuh ming dongah thuituen pawt ham neh thui loengloeng pawt ham a uen uh.
19But Peter and John answering, said to them: If it be just in the sight of God, to hear you rather than God, judge ye.
19Tedae amih te Peter neh Johan loh a doo tih, “Pathen ol lakah nangmih ol hnatun lat ham Pathen hmaiah a thuem atah namamih loh laitloek uh nawn.
20For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.
20Ka hmuh neh ka yaak uh te ka thui pawt koinih a coeng moenih,” a ti nah.
21But they threatening, sent them away, not finding how they might punish them, because of the people; for all men glorified what had been done, in that which had come to pass.
21Amih te metla a cawh ham khaw a hmuh uh pawt dongah a hihham uh tih a tueih uh. Tekah aka thoeng hno kongah pilnam pum loh Pathen te a thangpom uh.
22For the man was above forty years old, in whom that miraculous cure had been wrought.
22Hoeihnah miknoek loh a thoeng thil hlang te tah a kum sawmli hlai a lo coeng dongah ni.
23And being let go, they came to their own company, and related all that the chief priests and ancients had said to them.
23A loeih phoeiah amah rhoek taengla pawk rhoi tih khosoihham rhoek neh patong rhoek loh a thui boeih te amih taengah puen rhoi.
24Who having heard it, with one accord lifted up their voice to God, and said: Lord, thou art he that didst make heaven and earth, the sea, and all things that are in them.
24A yaak uh vaengah Pathen taengah ol huek a huel uh tih, “Boeikung, namah loh vaan neh diklai, tuitunli neh a khuikah boeih na saii.
25Who, by the Holy Ghost, by the mouth of our father David, thy servant, hast said: Why did the Gentiles rage, and the people meditate vain things?
25A pa rhoek kah Pathen loh na tueihyoeih David kah a ka dongah Mueihla Cim neh, 'Balae tih namtom rhoek loh a sundaep uh tih pilnam loh a tlongtlaih la a mangtuk uh.
26The kings of the earth stood up, and the princes assembled together against the Lord and his Christ.
26Diklai manghai rhoek neh boei rhoek tah amamih te tingtun uh tih BOEIPA neh a Khrih te a pai thil uh,” a ti.
27For of a truth there assembled together in this city against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel,
27Te dongah ni na koelh tangtae Jesuh, na taengom cim te Herod neh Pontius Pilat, namtom neh Israel pilnam loh, oltak la khopuei khuiah a tingtun thil uh.
28To do what thy hand and thy counsel decreed to be done.
28Na kut loh a saii tih aka thoeng ham koi boeih te na mangtaengnah loh a nuen coeng.
29And now, Lord, behold their threatenings, and grant unto thy servants, that with all confidence they may speak thy word,
29Te dongah aw Boeipa, amih te hihhamnah he so lamtah na ol aka thui ham na sal rhoek te sayalh la boeih khueh laeh.
30By stretching forth thy hand to cures, and signs, and wonders to be done by the name of thy holy Son Jesus.
30Hoeihnah ham na kut na yueng li vaengah na tueihyoeih cim Jesuh ming dongah miknoek neh khobae rhambae khaw thoeng coeng,” a ti uh.
31And when they had prayed, the place was moved wherein they were assembled; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spoke the word of God with confidence.
31A thangthui uh dongah tun a om nah hmuen khaw hinghoek uh tih Cim Mueihla neh boeih baetawt uh. Te dongah sayalh la Pathen kah ol khaw a thui uh.
32And the multitude of believers had but one heart and one soul: neither did any one say that aught of the things which he possessed, was his own; but all things were common unto them.
32Te dongah aka tangnah rhoek khuikah rhaengpuei tah thinko hinglu pakhat la a khueh uh. A khuehtawn te amah bueng ham ni aka ti u pakhat khaw om pawh. Tedae a cungkuem te amih ham tun om coeng.
33And with great power did the apostles give testimony of the resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord; and great grace was in them all.

35And laid it down before the feet of the apostles. And distribution was made to every one, according as he had need.
