1Aleph. How doth the city sit solitary that was full of people! how is the mistress of the Gentiles become as a widow: the princes of provinces made tributary!
1Kami hoiah koi vangpui, kawbangmaw angqaikrang ah na oh sut! Praenawk boih salakah lensawkhaih hoi kaom, kawbangmaw lamhmai baktiah na oh ving! Praenawk ih siangpahrang canu loe kawbangmaw tamut paek kami ah oh ving loe!
2Beth. Weeping she hath wept in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks: there is none to comfort her among all them that were dear to her: all her friends have despised her, and are become her enemies.
2Anih loe khoving ah palungnat hoi qah moe, tangbaeng nuiah mikkhraetui long; a tlangainawk thungah anih pathloepkung mi doeh om o ai; ampuinawk boih a nuiah oep om o ai, anih ih misa ah angcoeng o boih boeh.
3Ghimel. Juda hath removed her dwelling place because of her affliction, and the greatness of her bondage: she hath dwelt among the nations, and she hath found no rest: all her persecutors have taken her in the midst of straits.
3Judah loe patanghaih hoi karai toksakhaih pongah, misong ah angcoeng boeh; Sithaw panoek ai prae thungah a oh moe, monghaih to hnu ai boeh; anih patom kaminawk mah anih to ahmuen tamcaek ah kae o.
4Daleth. The ways of Sion mourn, because there are none that come to the solemn feast: all her gates are broken down: her priests sigh: her virgins are in affliction, and she is oppressed with bitterness.
4Mi doeh poihkung ah angzo o ai pongah, Zion loe palungset; anih ih khongkhanawk boih loe angqaikrang boeh; nihcae ih qaimanawk doeh angpho o boeh; tangla cuemnawk loe palungnat o moe, palungboenghaih hoiah khosak o.
5He. Her adversaries are become her lords, her enemies are enriched: because the Lord hath spoken against her for the multitude of her iniquities: her children are led into captivity: before the face of the oppressor.
5A sakpazaehaih pop hmoek baktih toengah Angraeng mah danpaek pongah, a hnukma ih kaminawk to ukkung ah oh o lat moe, a misanawk doeh khosak hoih o boeh; a caanawk loe a misanawk hma ah misong ah laemh o boeh.
6Vau. And from the daughter of Sion all her beauty is departed: her princes are become like rams that find no pastures: and they are gone away without strength before the face of the pursuer.
6Zion canu loe lensawkhaih hoi kranghoihaih mah caehtaak ving boeh; anih ih siangpahrang capanawk loe caak hanah qam kahing hnu ai tasuk baktiah ni oh o boeh; patom kaminawk hma ah angpho qawt ah a cawnh o.
7Zain. Jerusalem hath remembered the days of her affliction, and prevarication of all her desirable things which she had from the days of old, when her people fell in the enemy’s hand, and there was no helper: the enemies have seen her, and have mocked at her sabbaths.
7Jerusalem loe kamtang tonghaih niah, canghnii ah a tawnh ih khosak hoihaih to a poek; angmah ih kaminawk misa ban thungah krak o naah, abomkung tawn ai; a misanawk mah dan o moe, amrohaih to pahnui o thuih.
8Heth. Jerusalem hath grievously sinned, therefore is she become unstable: all that honoured her have despised her, because they have seen her shame: but she sighed and turned backward.
8Jerusalem loe paroeai zae boeh pongah, panuet thoh boeh; bangkrai ah ohhaih to a hnuk o naah, anih khingza vaih kaminawk mah doeh anih to patoek o boeh; ue, anih loe angpho moe, hnukbang amlaem ving boeh.
9Teth. Her filthiness is on her feet, and she hath not remembered her end: she is wonderfully cast down, not having a comforter: behold, O Lord, my affliction, because the enemy is lifted up.
9Panuet kaom hmuen loe anih ih canghnak nuiah akap; anih loe hmabang kaom han koi boenghaih to poek ai; to pongah pathloepkung om ai, dawnrai han oh, anih loe amtim maat boeh; Aw Angraeng, patang ka khanghaih hae khenah, misanawk loe amoek o boeh.
10Jod. The enemy hath put out his hand to all her desirable things: for she hath seen the Gentiles enter into her sanctuary, of whom thou gavest commandment that they should not enter into thy church.
10Anih ih hmuenmaenawk loe misanawk mah lomh pae o boeh; nang ih kaminawk angpophaih ahmuen ah akun o sak hmah, tiah lok na paek ih Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk loe hmuenciim thungah akun o boeh, tiah Jerusalem mah hnuk boeh.
11Caph. All her people sigh, they seek bread: they have given all their precious things for food to relieve the soul: see, O Lord, and consider, for I am become vile.
11Anih ih kaminawk loe angpho o boih moe, takaw to pakrong o; a hing o thai hanah a tawnh o ih hmuennawk to buh hoiah alaih o; Aw Angraeng, khenah, kai loe hnaphnae ih kami ah ka oh boeh.
12Lamed. O all ye that pass by the way, attend, and see if there be any sorrow like to my sorrow: for he hath made a vintage of me, as the Lord spoke in the day of his fierce anger.
12Nangcae, a taengah caeh kaminawk, nangcae hanah loe tiah doeh om ai maw? Khen oh loe, poek oh, Angraeng palungphuihaih niah, ka nuiah phaksak ih patangkhanghaih baktiah patangkhang kami oh maw?
13Mem. From above he hath sent fire into my bones, and hath chastised me: he hath spread a net for my feet, he hath turned me back: he hath made me desolate, wasted with sorrow all the day long.
13Ranui bang hoiah ka huh thungah hmai to ang patoeh moe, ka huhnawk to ang hmawnsak boeh; ka khok aman hanah thang ang patung pae moe, hnukbang ah amlaemsak ving boeh; kai palung ang boengsak moe, athun qui tha ang zoksak sut boeh.
14Nun. The yoke of my iniquities hath watched: they are folded together in his hand, and put upon my neck: my strength is weakened: the Lord hath delivered me into a hand out of which I am not able to rise.
14Ka sakpazaehaih hmuen phawhhaih hnam to ka ban hoi tahnong ah ang oisak moe, ang pathlet caeng; Angraeng mah tha ang zoksak moe, nihcae ban ah ang paek, kai loe nihcae ban thung hoi kang thawk thai ai boeh.
15Samech. The Lord hath taken away all my mighty men out of the midst of me: he hath called against me the time, to destroy my chosen men: the Lord hath trodden the winepress for the virgin daughter of Juda.
15Angraeng mah kaimah ih thacak kaminawk to kaimah salakah, khok hoiah cawh moe, kai ih thendoengnawk to tuk hanah, paroeai kaminawk to kawk; misurthaih pasawh baktiah Angraeng mah tangla cuem Judah canu to khok hoiah cawh.
16Ain. Therefore do I weep, and my eyes run down with water: because the comforter, the relief of my soul, is far from me: my children are desolate because the enemy hath prevailed.
16To pongah ka qah; ka mik hoiah mikkhraetui to long boeh; ka hing thai hanah pathloepkung ka taeng ah mi doeh om ai; misa mah ang pazawk boeh pongah, ka caanawk loe anghmat o boih boeh.
17Phe. Sion hath spread forth her hands, there is none to comfort her: the Lord hath commanded against Jacob, his enemies are round about him: Jerusalem is as a menstruous woman among them.
17Zion mah a ban to payangh, toe pathloepkung mi doeh om ai; a taengah kaom kaminawk misa ah angcoengsak hanah, Angraeng mah Jakob nuiah lok takroek boeh; Jerusalem loe to kaminawk salakah ciimcai ai nongpata baktiah oh boeh.
18Sade. The Lord is just, for I have provoked his mouth to wrath: hear, I pray you, all ye people, and see my sorrow: my virgins, and my young men are gone into captivity.
18Angraeng loe toeng, a paek ih lok to ka aek; kaminawk boih tahngai oh, ka patanghaih hae khen oh; ka thendoengnawk hoi tanglanawk loe misong ah laemh o boih boeh.
19Coph. I called for my friends, but they deceived me: my priests and my ancients pined away in the city: while they sought their food, to relieve their souls.
19Kaimah ih tlangainawk to ka kawk, toe nihcae mah ang ling o; kai ih qaimanawk hoi kacoehtanawk loe a hing o thai hanah buh pakrong o nakung ah, vangpui thungah hinghaih boeng o boih boeh.
20Res. Behold, O Lord, for I am in distress, my bowels are troubled: my heart is turned within me, for I am full of bitterness: abroad the sword destroyeth, and at home there is death alike.
21Sin. They have heard that I sigh, and there is none to comfort me: all my enemies have heard of my evil, they have rejoiced that thou hast done it: thou hast brought a day of consolation, and they shall be like unto me.
21Kang phohaih to kaminawk mah thaih o; kai pathloepkung mi doeh om ai; patang ka khanghaih loe ka misanawk boih mah thaih o; na sak ih hmuen nuiah anghoe o; na khaeh ih ani na phaksak naah loe, nihcae doeh kai baktiah om o tih.
22Thau. Let all their evil be present before thee: and make vintage of them, as thou hast made vintage of me for all my iniquities: for my sighs are many, and my heart is sorrowful.
22Nihcae sethaih boih loe na hma ah amtueng nasoe; ka sakpazaehaihnawk boih pongah ka nuiah na sak ih baktih toengah, nihcae nuiah doeh sah toeng ah; kang phohaih paroeai pop boeh pongah, poekhaih palungthin doeh ka zai sut boeh.
