1瑪拿西 是 約瑟 的長子，他的支派拈鬮所得之地記在下面。至於 瑪拿西 的長子 基列 之父 瑪吉 ，因為是勇士就得了 基列 和 巴珊 。
1And this was the lot for the tribe of Manasseh; for he was the first-born of Joseph. As for Machir the first-born of Manasseh, the father of Gilead, because he was a man of war, therefore he had Gilead and Bashan.
2瑪拿西 其餘的子孫，按着宗族 拈鬮分地 ，就是 亞比以謝 子孫， 希勒 子孫， 亞斯列 子孫， 示劍 子孫， 希弗 子孫， 示米大 子孫；這些按着宗族，都是 約瑟 兒子 瑪拿西 子孫的男丁。
2And the lot was for the rest of the children of Manasseh according to their families; for the children of Abiezer, and for the children of Helek, and for the children of Asriel, and for the children of Shechem, and for the children of Hepher, and for the children of Shemida; these were the male children of Manasseh the son of Joseph according to their families.
3瑪拿西 的玄孫， 瑪吉 的曾孫， 基列 的孫子， 希弗 的兒子 西羅非哈 沒有兒子，只有女兒。他的女兒名叫 瑪拉 、 挪阿 、 曷拉 、 密迦 、 得撒 ；
3But Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, had no sons, but daughters; and these are the names of his daughters: Mahlah, and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.
4她們來到祭司 以利亞撒 和 嫩 的兒子 約書亞 並眾首領面前，說：「耶和華曾吩咐 摩西 在我們弟兄中分給我們產業。」於是 約書亞 照耶和華所吩咐的，在她們伯叔中，把產業分給她們。
4And they came near before Eleazar the priest, and before Joshua the son of Nun, and before the princes, saying: 'The LORD commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among our brethren'; therefore according to the commandment of the LORD he gave them an inheritance among the brethren of their father.
5除了 約旦河 東的 基列 和 巴珊 地之外，還有十分地歸 瑪拿西 ，
5And there fell ten parts to Manasseh, beside the land of Gilead and Bashan, which is beyond the Jordan;
6因為 瑪拿西 的孫女們在 瑪拿西 的孫子中得了產業。 基列 地是屬 瑪拿西 其餘的子孫。
6because the daughters of Manasseh had an inheritance among his sons; and the land of Gilead belonged unto the rest of the sons of Manasseh.
7瑪拿西 的境界：從 亞設 起，到 示劍 前的 密米他 ，往北到 隱‧他普亞 居民 之地 。
7And the border of Manasseh was, beginning from Asher, Michmethath, which is before Shechem; and the border went along to the right hand, unto the inhabitants of En-tappuah. —
8他普亞 地歸 瑪拿西 ，只是 瑪拿西 境界上的 他普亞 城 歸 以法蓮 子孫。
8The land of Tappuah belonged to Manasseh; but Tappuah on the border of Manasseh belonged to the children of Ephraim. —
9其界下到 加拿河 的南邊。在 瑪拿西 城邑中的這些城邑都歸 以法蓮 。 瑪拿西 的地界是在河北直通到海為止；
9And the border went down unto the brook of Kanah, southward of the brook, by cities which belonged to Ephraim among the cities of Manasseh; but the border of Manasseh was on the north side of the brook; and the goings out thereof were at the sea:
10南歸 以法蓮 ，北歸 瑪拿西 ，以海為界；北邊到 亞設 ，東邊到 以薩迦 。
10southward it was Ephraim's, and northward it was Manasseh's, and the sea was his border; and they reached to Asher on the north, and to Issachar on the east.
11瑪拿西 在 以薩迦 和 亞設 境內，有 伯‧善 和屬 伯‧善 的鎮市， 以伯蓮 和屬 以伯蓮 的鎮市， 多珥 的居民和屬 多珥 的鎮市；又有三處山岡，就是 隱‧多珥 和屬 隱‧多珥 的鎮市； 他納 的居民和屬 他納 的鎮市， 米吉多 的居民和屬 米吉多 的鎮市。
11And Manasseh had in Issachar and in Asher Beth-shean and its towns, and Ibleam and its towns, and the inhabitants of Dor and its towns, and the inhabitants of En-dor and its towns, and the inhabitants of Taanach and its towns, and the inhabitants of Megiddo and its towns, even the three regions.
12只是 瑪拿西 子孫不能趕出這些城的 居民 ， 迦南 人偏要住在那地。
12Yet the children of Manasseh could not drive out the inhabitants of those cities; but the Canaanites were resolved to dwell in that land.
13及至 以色列 人強盛了，就使 迦南 人做苦工，沒有把他們全然趕出。
13And it came to pass, when the children of Israel were waxen strong, that they put the Canaanites to taskwork, but did not utterly drive them out.
14約瑟 的子孫對 約書亞 說：「耶和華到如今既然賜福與我們，我們也族大人多，你為甚麼僅將一鬮一段之地分給我們為業呢？」
14And the children of Joseph spoke unto Joshua, saying: 'Why hast thou given me but one lot and one part for an inheritance, seeing I am a great people, forasmuch as the LORD hath blessed me thus?'
15約書亞 說：「你們如果族大人多，嫌 以法蓮 山地窄小，就可以上 比利洗 人、 利乏音 人之地，在樹林中砍伐 樹木 。」
15And Joshua said unto them: 'If thou be a great people, get thee up to the forest, and cut down for thyself there in the land of the Perizzites and of the Rephaim; since the hill-country of Ephraim is too narrow for thee.'
16約瑟 的子孫說：「那山地容不下我們，並且住平原的 迦南 人，就是住 伯‧善 和屬 伯‧善 的鎮市，並住 耶斯列 平原的人，都有鐵車。」
16And the children of Joseph said: 'The hill-country will not be enough for us; and all the Canaanites that dwell in the land of the valley have chariots of iron, both they who are in Beth-shean and its towns, and they who are in the valley of Jezreel.'
17約書亞 對 約瑟 家，就是 以法蓮 和 瑪拿西 人，說：「你是族大人多，並且強盛，不可僅有一鬮之地，
17And Joshua spoke unto the house of Joseph, even to Ephraim and to Manasseh, saying: 'Thou art a great people, and hast great power; thou shalt not have one lot only;
18山地也要歸你，雖是樹林，你也可以砍伐；靠近之地必歸你。 迦南 人雖有鐵車，雖是強盛，你也能把他們趕出去。」
18but the hill-country shall be thine; for though it is a forest, thou shalt cut it down, and the goings out thereof shall be thine; for thou shalt drive out the Canaanites, though they have chariots of iron, and though they be strong.'
