1那時， 耶羅波安 的兒子 亞比雅 病了。
1At that time Abijah the son of Jeroboam fell sick.
2耶羅波安 對他的妻說：「你可以起來改裝，使人不知道你是 耶羅波安 的妻，往 示羅 去，在那裏有先知 亞希雅 。他曾告訴我說，你必作這民的王。
2And Jeroboam said to his wife: 'Arise, I pray thee, and disguise thyself, that thou be not known to be the wife of Jeroboam; and get thee to Shiloh; behold, there is Ahijah the prophet, who spoke concerning me that I should be king over this people.
3現在你要帶十個餅，與幾個薄餅，和一瓶蜜去見他，他必告訴你兒子將要怎樣。」
3And take with thee ten loaves, and biscuits, and a cruse of honey, and go to him; he will tell thee what shall become of the child.'
4耶羅波安 的妻就這樣行，起身往 示羅 去，到了 亞希雅 的家。 亞希雅 因年紀老邁，眼目發直，不能看見。
4And Jeroboam's wife did so, and arose, and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of Ahijah. Now Ahijah could not see; for his eyes were set by reason of his age.
5耶和華先曉諭 亞希雅 說：「 耶羅波安 的妻要來問你，因她兒子病了，你當如此如此告訴她。她進來的時候必裝作別的婦人。」
5Now the LORD had said unto Ahijah: 'Behold, the wife of Jeroboam cometh to inquire of thee concerning her son; for he is sick; thus and thus shalt thou say unto her; for it will be, when she cometh in, that she will feign herself to be another woman.'
6她剛進門， 亞希雅 聽見她腳步的響聲，就說：「 耶羅波安 的妻，進來吧！你為何裝作別的婦人呢？我奉差遣將凶事告訴你。
6And it was so, when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet, as she came in at the door, that he said: 'Come in, thou wife of Jeroboam; why feignest thou thyself to be another? for I am sent to thee with heavy tidings.
7你回去告訴 耶羅波安 說 ：『耶和華－ 以色列 的上帝如此說：我從民中將你高舉，立你作我民 以色列 的君，
7Go, tell Jeroboam: Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel: Forasmuch as I exalted thee from among the people, and made thee prince over My people Israel,
8將國從 大衛 家奪回賜給你；你卻不效法我僕人 大衛 ，遵守我的誡命，一心順從我，行我眼中看為正的事。
8and rent the kingdom away from the house of David, and gave it thee; and yet thou hast not been as My servant David, who kept My commandments, and who followed Me with all his heart, to do that only which was right in Mine eyes;
9你竟行惡，比那在你以先的更甚，為自己立了別神，鑄了偶像，惹我發怒，將我丟在背後。
9but hast done evil above all that were before thee, and hast gone and made thee other gods, and molten images, to provoke Me, and hast cast Me behind thy back;
10因此，我必使災禍臨到 耶羅波安 的家，將屬 耶羅波安 的男丁，無論困住的、自由的都從 以色列 中剪除，必除盡 耶羅波安 的家，如人除盡糞土一般。
10therefore, behold, I will bring evil upon the house of Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam every man-child, and him that is shut up and him that is left at large in Israel, and will utterly sweep away the house of Jeroboam, as a man sweepeth away dung, till it be all gone.
11凡屬 耶羅波安 的人，死在城中的必被狗吃，死在田野的必被空中的鳥吃。這是耶和華說的。』
11Him that dieth of Jeroboam in the city shall the dogs eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the air eat; for the LORD hath spoken it.
12所以你起身回家去吧！你的腳一進城，你兒子就必死了。
12Arise thou therefore, get thee to thy house; and when thy feet enter into the city, the child shall die.
13以色列 眾人必為他哀哭，將他葬埋。凡屬 耶羅波安 的人，惟有他得入墳墓；因為在 耶羅波安 的家中，只有他向耶和華－ 以色列 的上帝顯出善行。
13And all Israel shall make lamentation for him, and bury him; for he only of Jeroboam shall come to the grave; because in him there is found some good thing toward the LORD, the God of Israel, in the house of Jeroboam.
14耶和華必另立一王治理 以色列 。到了日期，他必剪除 耶羅波安 的家；那日期已經到了。
14Moreover the LORD will raise Him up a king over Israel, who shall cut off the house of Jeroboam that day. But what is it even then?
15耶和華必擊打 以色列 人，使他們搖動，像水中的蘆葦一般；又將他們從耶和華賜給他們列祖的美地上拔出來，分散在大河那邊；因為他們做木偶，惹耶和華發怒。
15for the LORD will smite Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water; and He will root up Israel out of this good land, which He gave to their fathers, and will scatter them beyond the River; because they have made their Asherim, provoking the LORD.
16因 耶羅波安 所犯的罪，又使 以色列 人陷在罪裏，耶和華必將 以色列 人交給 仇敵 。」
16And He will give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, which he hath sinned, and wherewith he hath made Israel to sin.'
17耶羅波安 的妻起身回去，到了 得撒 ，剛到門檻，兒子就死了。
17And Jeroboam's wife arose, and departed, and came to Tirzah; and as she came to the threshold of the house, the child died.
18以色列 眾人將他葬埋，為他哀哭，正如耶和華藉他僕人先知 亞希雅 所說的話。
18And all Israel buried him, and made lamentation for him; according to the word of the LORD, which He spoke by the hand of His servant Ahijah the prophet.
19耶羅波安 其餘的事，他怎樣爭戰，怎樣作王，都寫在 以色列 諸王記上。
19And the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, how he warred, and how he reigned, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
20耶羅波安 作王二十二年，就與他列祖同睡。他兒子 拿答 接續他作王。
20And the days which Jeroboam reigned were two and twenty years; and he slept with his fathers, and Nadab his son reigned in his stead.
21所羅門 的兒子 羅波安 作 猶大 王。他登基的時候年四十一歲，在 耶路撒冷 ，就是耶和華從 以色列 眾支派中所選擇立他名的城，作王十七年。 羅波安 的母親名叫 拿瑪 ，是 亞捫 人。
21And Rehoboam the son of Solomon reigned in Judah. Rehoboam was forty and one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the LORD had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put His name there; and his mother's name was Naamah the Ammonitess.
22猶大 人行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，犯罪觸動他的憤恨，比他們列祖更甚。
22And Judah did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD; and they moved Him to jealousy with their sins which they committed, above all that their fathers had done.
23因為他們在各高岡上，各青翠樹下築壇，立柱像和木偶。
23For they also built them high places, and pillars, and Asherim, on every high hill, and under every leafy tree;
24國中也有孌童。 猶大 人效法耶和華在 以色列 人面前所趕出的外邦人，行一切可憎惡的事。
24and there were also sodomites in the land; they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD drove out before the children of Israel.
25羅波安 王第五年， 埃及 王 示撒 上來攻取 耶路撒冷 ，
25And it came to pass in the fifth year of king Rehoboam, that Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem;
26奪了耶和華殿和王宮裏的寶物，盡都帶走，又奪去 所羅門 製造的金盾牌。
26and he took away the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house; he even took away all; and he took away all the shields of gold which Solomon had made.
27羅波安 王製造銅盾牌代替那金盾牌，交給守王宮門的護衛長看守。
27And king Rehoboam made in their stead shields of brass, and committed them to the hands of the captains of the guard, who kept the door of the king's house.
28王每逢進耶和華的殿，護衛兵就拿這盾牌，隨後仍將盾牌送回，放在護衛房。
28And it was so, that as oft as the king went into the house of the LORD, the guard bore them, and brought them back into the guard-chamber.
29羅波安 其餘的事，凡他所行的，都寫在 猶大 列王記上。
29Now the rest of the acts of Rehoboam, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
30羅波安 與 耶羅波安 時常爭戰。
30And there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam continually.
31羅波安 與他列祖同睡，葬在 大衛城 他列祖的墳地裏。他母親名叫 拿瑪 ，是 亞捫 人。他兒子 亞比央 接續他作王。
31And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David; and his mother's name was Naamah the Ammonitess. And Abijam his son reigned in his stead.
