1列国啊，要近前来听！ 众民哪，要侧耳而听！ 地和其上所充满的， 世界和其中一切所出的都应当听！
1Come near, ye nations, to hear, and attend, ye peoples; let the earth hear, and the fulness thereof, the world, and all things that come forth of it.
2因为耶和华向万国发忿恨， 向他们的全军发烈怒， 将他们灭尽，交出他们受杀戮。
2For the LORD hath indignation against all the nations, and fury against all their host; He hath utterly destroyed them, He hath delivered them to the slaughter.
3被杀的必然抛弃， 尸首臭气上腾； 诸山被他们的血融化。
3Their slain also shall be cast out, and the stench of their carcasses shall come up, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood.
4天上的万象都要消没； 天被卷起，好像书卷。 其上的万象要残败， 像葡萄树的叶子残败， 又像无花果树的 叶子 残败一样。
4And all the host of heaven shall moulder away, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll; and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig-tree.
5因为我的刀在天上已经喝足； 这刀必临到 以东 和我所咒诅的民， 要施行审判。
5For My sword hath drunk its fill in heaven; behold, it shall come down upon Edom, and upon the people of My ban, to judgment.
6耶和华的刀满了血， 用脂油和羊羔、公山羊的血， 并公绵羊腰子的脂油滋润的； 因为耶和华在 波斯拉 有献祭的事， 在 以东 地大行杀戮。
6The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams; for the LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Edom.
7野牛、牛犊，和公牛要一同下来。 他们的地喝醉了血； 他们的尘土因脂油肥润。
7And the wild-oxen shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be drunken with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness.
8因耶和华有报仇之日， 为 锡安 的争辩有报应之年。
8For the LORD hath a day of vengeance, a year of recompense for the controversy of Zion.
9以东 的河水要变为石油， 尘埃要变为硫磺； 地土成为烧着的石油，
9And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch.
10昼夜总不熄灭， 烟气永远上腾， 必世世代代成为荒废， 永永远远无人经过。
10It shall not be quenched night nor day, the smoke thereof shall go up for ever; from generation to generation it shall lie waste: none shall pass through it for ever and ever.
11鹈鹕、箭猪却要得为业； 猫头鹰、乌鸦要住在其间。 耶和华必将空虚的准绳， 混沌的线铊，拉在其上。
11But the pelican and the bittern shall possess it, and the owl and the raven shall dwell therein; and He shall stretch over it the line of confusion, and the plummet of emptiness.
12以东 人要召贵胄来治国； 那里却无一个， 首领也都归于无有。
12As for her nobles, none shall be there to be called to the kingdom; and all her princes shall be nothing.
13以东 的宫殿要长荆棘； 保障要长蒺藜和刺草； 要作野狗的住处， 鸵鸟的居所。
13And thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles and thistles in the fortresses thereof; and it shall be a habitation of wild-dogs, an enclosure for ostriches.
14旷野的走兽要和豺狼相遇； 野山羊要与伴偶对叫。 夜间的怪物必在那里栖身， 自找安歇之处。
14And the wild-cats shall meet with the jackals, and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; yea, the night-monster shall repose there, and shall find her a place of rest.
15箭蛇要在那里做窝， 下蛋，抱蛋，生子， 聚子在其影下； 鹞鹰各与伴偶聚集在那里。
15There shall the arrowsnake make her nest, and lay, and hatch, and brood under her shadow; yea, there shall the kites be gathered, every one with her mate.
16你们要查考宣读耶和华的书。 这都无一缺少， 无一没有伴偶； 因为我的口已经吩咐， 他的灵将它们聚集。
16Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read; no one of these shall be missing, none shall want her mate; for My mouth it hath commanded, and the breath thereof it hath gathered them.
17他也为它们拈阄， 又亲手用准绳给它们分地； 它们必永得为业， 世世代代住在其间。
17And He hath cast the lot for them, and His hand hath divided it unto them by line; they shall possess it for ever, from generation to generation shall they dwell therein.
